I realize my video is 20 minutes long... but did you watch the part where I collected all of the materials and scanned the area? There was nothing else there, man. I mean... the wave scanner was dead. No audio, no visual signatures in 360 degrees around the site. You can see me jump out of the canyon to the plain above and stop for a bit. It's dead. The only signature you'll see is for the meteorite I left behind, before I bust it up. And when I returned to the POI which you said would not be...

My reply here is largely in the form of the below video, which I recorded earlier today. TL;DW: It disproves the idea that materials in the rock are the cause of the mini/micro POI. I mined the rock. I collected all its materials. There were no more rocks in the vicinity. I leave and return... and the POI is still there. You can open the spoiler tag below to find an extract of POI-related info from the patch notes of 2.2, 2.2.01, and 2.2.03 (2.2.02 had no relevant...

Static POI behavior is erratic, at best. Since our last discussion here about this, I've done some testing. At one of these "resource node sites" my wingmate watched as I positioned myself in the center of the blue POI marker with sensors zoomed in. I descended to the surface, keeping dead center up until the 2km threshhold where the POI marker disappears from the sensors. When I reached the surface, I was on top of a resource node. My wingmate shot it, and we both saw the rock blow up from our...
