    I'm not so sure about that. we see system population change, and we see (for exampel) RES sites starting to spawn. we also have new systems populated with every patch.... i don't see somebody at FDEV changing the population numbers manually. my impression from playing at the edges of inhabited space quite a lot is, that (besides obvious thins like CG), CMDR traffic plays a role in that - more people using a system = population grows, higher chance of RES being generated or similar. sometimes planetary bases are upgaded and get additional services. but even if: populaton growth is only happening during major patches, and the basic values of security can't be changed at all as far as i know (it can be "temporarily" changed by different goverment types) - if nobody comes up with a system chagig its security level from one major patch to another.

    Happy Friday indeed, what glorious weather we have here on Earth in the UK. I can't really add to what's in the FAQ other than we are always looking at ways to improve and optimise both the look and feel of ED.

    Hola Predi, casi prefiero que te lo curres tu un poco antes de darte todo mascado. Por si sirve de ayuda no existen, que yo sepa, desgloses sistematicos de las cifras de recursos humanos por proyecto en FDEV. Pero si se busca, la informacion mas directa que tienes al respecto esta inlcuída ya sea en los reportes anuales o en las notas RNS emitidas oficialmente donde de vez en cuando FDEV suele ofrecer contexto de recursos humanos sobre esos proyectos de manera específica, además de las tablas de datos habituales. Además de ello hay algunas ocasiones donde Michael Brookes u otros reponsables principales de FDEV han declarado al respecto y que usado en combinacion con la informacion oficial que menciono mas arriba apoyan la idea de ese crecimiento que comento.

    Obviamente la gravedad o no de lo que tu personalmente consideras "la actual situacion" es algo bastante subjetivo. Y más aún lo es que esa gravedad o falta de ella sugiera que se necesite un cambio de individuos específicos. Sobre todo cuando apenas hay informacion de factores relevantes sobre cómo se toman decisiones internamente en FDEV, incluída la integración de factores técnicos y de estrategia corporativa que pueda estar fuera del control de algunos de esos individuos. Elite lleva en marcha desde alrededor del 2011-2012, y con todo ese tiempo ya en su haber más el hecho de que los resultados economicos de FDEV sean buenos va a ser mucho mas sencillo y probable que si hay cambios estos ocurran de manera natural (mas allá de 3-4 años en un puesto imagino que cualquiera está expuesto a un cambio, lo quiera o no, ya sea lateral o hacia arriba), gente que entra o sale con ideas diferentes, razones personales etc.

    Actually would be against this. I like the Engineering of weapons, gives a lot more versatility and options. Anyway, redundant question, FD aren't going to do this. Maybe tweaks and refinements, but that's about it.

    La información disponible sobre plantilla dedicada a Elite en FDEV (en reportes anuales, notas RNS y declaraciones de devs) de momento indica un crecimiento gradual y constante desde que se lanzara el juego (lo cual explicaría los portes). Que yo sepa, y salvo que aparezcan datos nuevos, no se han reducido o sacrificado recursos humanos netos significativos de Elite en si para desplazarlos ya fuera a Planet Coaster, la nueva franquicia (que se empezó a desarrollar el año pasado) o los portes a Xbox o PS4.

    mine is a luxury explorer, with everything it might need and more ... i love the floating feeling of flying it, what other call bad supercruise handling - even if i prefer my dbe most of the time. in the bubble i prefer one of my two pythons ... or, if trading bulk i'm flying my cutter. or some if my beloved small(er) ships.

    Lo bueno de Elite es que tiene cabida para tipos de juego y estilos de juego de toda variedad y contexto. Desde la gerra de clanes o territorial con el BGS hasta el paseo mas pacifico buscando geysers, pasando por las carreras, los fuel rats, los Isinonas y miles de otras maneras de disfrutar de Elite. Siempre desde el respeto.

    another option could be dumbfire missiles ... in ammo increased racks. i'm using seekers on my dolphin for mission running with that special that converts damage to thermal. works nicely as a defensive weapon, but as those are not ammo increased, i can't even kill an interdicting npc viper.

    Pareces seguir olvidando que Elite no solo se juega por steam. Ya digo, si tu crees que esas cifras, con totales similares a War Tunder o Witcher 3 son bajas, pues oye tu mismo. En estos momentos 10,000-15,000 simultaneos (franja donde está Elite incluyendo todas las cuentas fuera de Steam) te pone directamente en la primera pagina de concurrencia de Steam (top 25 -30). Asi que no es moco de pavo. Yo creo que para un juego como Elite que tiene un nicho muy específico es todo un logro estar a ese nivel. En EVE las cifras de concurrencia son mayores, sin duda (y existen razones para ello en las que podemos entrar en otros hilos, este no es el lugar), pero eso no desmerece las de Elite, o las de War Thunder u otros de concurrencia similar a Elite. Cada juego tiene su nicho, su publico y sus diferencias. Lo que si creo esta claro es el crecimiento gradual de la concurrencia media de Elite en Steam, ya digo, con su mejor pico en Steam hace pocos meses. En cuanto a Star Citizen, bueno, lo mismo se decia...

    well, than you either used the wrong tool since before launch, or when i was startig using seekers and dumbfires sometime in 1.2. a bug was patched. chaff has no effect on seekers, and no effect on dumbfires - try it with a friend. but as chaff was able to stop commanders scan till 2.1., but not NPC scans, as it was supposed to hve np effect on scans, the chance of a bug pre 1.2. is real. i use them especially as a weapon not affected by chaff.

    chaff has no effect on missiles. breaking target lock by running silent and taking some distance, or by dropping a heatsink and taking some distance aleady works. looks to me as if what you are asking for is implemented?

    there is one for sure, but how to find it. you'll get better with railguns fast. one of the best tricks i learned doing target practice in high RES is, fitting a small fixed (efficient) beam, which works as a laser pointer. i fly a sidey sometimes in high res... small focussed burst and overcharged MC corrosive. same could go on a dolphin, but the damage is still pityfull. so, i strongly suggest to go the whole mile, and not only going to be the horror of RES and CZ in a dolphin, which will already bring some bragging rights with it, but learn to use railguns with it. the damage of every other c1 hardpoint is just too stupidly low. high res with medium and large ships spawning are the best place for target practices - just help out the system security.

    no, e-grade boosters, not thrusters, as i couldn't find the power to run two focussed PAs otherwise (and two focussed PAs and dirty drive on the a-class thrusters run a bit hot, so i didn't want to overcharge the powerplant any further). later i learned that thermal resistant and kinetic resistant boosters don't increae powerusage ... but won't change anything for the moment, as it is working very nicely.
