They did that last year though! Absolutely enormous (if you have no idea of scale) alien ships stalking through a canyon, with the (completely original) Predatoralike standing by a torch and going "Yaargghhh!" - all in a segment very honestly captioned as Vandull. Many thousands of people saw the live broadcast, many giggled. Attempts of CIG trying to clean it up then simply lead to more giggles - and they ended up removing the entire thing, and eventually replacing it with a heavily edited version. Those who saw it, will remember seeing it :D

Of that I have no doubt. It'll be followed a week later by the "Road to Lulzbucketry" documentary where Genuine Roberts waves his hands, puts his feet up on the table, and explains during a crisis meeting that they had to drop a few features because the animations weren't quite there, and that it would be unfair to the backers to release a sub-par product, and he's had a new Vision that includes base-building in Middle Earth. Then we'll cut to scenes of various friendly devs happily talking about how they are building revolutionary things that are completely part of the core game, that they are not tech demos or on-rails experiences for display and marketing purposes only. We'll go to Famous Actor and Developer Ben Lenslock, who explains in excruciating detail that CIG are working on something called a "button" - then the audio cuts out for fifteen minutes. Closeup on the Handbag.

Congrats on the DK2! Setup has changed over the years - there is no need to set extended desktop or the DK2 runtime. Make sure you have updated Win7 fully. Unplug everything DK2 related (HDMI, USB, sync cable) and run setup from here: https://www3.oculus.com/en-us/setup/ Once setup has completed, reboot. Setup your HOTAS X with whatever driver it needs. Plug your DK2 back in. Don't launch the Oculus program. Switch it on - it should have an amber light. Don't put it on your head yet. Launch Elite, set your controller as your HOTAS X and in the 3d settings choose HMD as your 3d device. You should notice the headset light go blue, and the sensor light up blue also. Look into the DK2, and you will (hopefully) get an image of a lovely Eagle and an SRV. Put it on, launch a training mission, and enjoy :D I also suggest wearing a tshirt that hides drool. You will almost certainly need it.

It's going to be of epic proportions. Lulzbuckets will be stuffed with delightful, squeezing lulz until they can be stuffed no more. Just what form it takes though, we will simply have to wait and see. Gamescon is sure to be a very revealing event, and CIG are going to have to work very hard to show something decent off, but hopefully they will have made real progress and it'll all be well worth the wait. However, if they have nothing to demonstrate, lulzbuckets around the world will literally explode in a fit of giggles. No matter what happens, everybody wins.

As long as the cash is coming in they plan not to plan an actual release then?

Don't be ridiculous. That is simply the annual gathering of the Most Honourable Guild of Desk-clerks of the Holy Rolling Pin. The lost soul on the right is a pokemon player who wandered into the wrong tent by mistake.

You could, at a push, just use connection sharing on your Windows PC. Windows does a terrible job at routing though.

Chris Roberts will be in his mid 50s by 2020 and a guy on Twitch said he had a "30 year plan" for Starcitizen I'm thinking his plan sounds like retirement and the constant kerching kerching noise of virtual assets being sold ☺️

It's an old Titan X on triple 1080's which used to do 60 FPS perfectly. Rubbish console ports foul the air.

It's a pile of lumpy steamers. Here's a delightful view of some lovely scenery. It's really pretty - even though I've squished it all up to not annoy everyone. Here's the important bit though.

From experience - that's purely because so many people want to be CEO's or dread pirates or F34R M3 PvP-Pro-Bros, whilst almost nobody is content to be a mere dung shoveller. Economies collapse without dung shovellers. Star Citizen will be absolutely no different.

My Answer to your question is that yes it is totally Fair, the rules for open are that there are no rules, you want to blow up noobs cmdrs then go ahead, you want to attack players trying to earn a living at a CG then yes its fair, you want to interdict players in smaller ships than yours, sure its totally fair. because open is a mode the allows it to be fair for anyone who thinks its fair. If players don't think its fair then join a PVE group that makes things fair for all players.
