Welcome home Commander! Euphoric for your return and thank you for contributing to Elite. Thankfully Dangerous is shaping up to be the signature Elite in the making and rightfully pays plenty homage to the originals beyond just game-play and aesthetics. Fly safely, watch your six and good luck with celestial reminiscing. Fly safe, drive dangerous and good luck with galactic reminiscing. The single best recommendation is to seriously take your time and experiment before you commit or switch between game-mode and play style. Don’t be afraid of a do-over or two and if needs be ‘clear your save’ can be found in-game under options menu. The most awesome gamepad software ever: Padstarr, Grifta Morphing Gamepad, TobiiEyeX Controller, ECHOTalkative AI VoiceAttack with HCSVoicepacks are highly commended for astutely impacting game-play and more. I'm jealous of Saud Kruger. Flew Beluga in beta, a bit lush. On the look out for a Dolphin but will pick one up when I happen across. No rush, no worries and Keelback then gets relegated, to refugee type blue collar passengers (if not sold). Got myself into a cash flow problem when I first got into Python myself. Found it tough to earn more than (erm) 'costs' at first. Stabilised now, do intend to get another Asp Scout (which I had to sell) but that one was dedicated to extreme sports (SRV mountain climbing and base jumping challenges) and good for a taxi, to remote systems eg. to where my pirate loadout, DBE is .. ie. far enough away not to bother my local rep (I can be there in about five minutes). ps. the "]monolith

If you've got yourself a Python OP .. then you're sorted; buy an Eagle. Cause havoc in Eagle for ten minutes to an hour play time and literally ONE cargo delivery mission in Python will refund you about ten Eagle rebuys. Go wild with no consequences (apart from rep obviously, though there are ways around that too). Biggest mistake people make in ED imo is assuming you have to have a big ship, that you MUST treat it like a career, when small ships rule and are the acid test for a good pilot.

I would look forward to do a bit different approach to crafting - make it less luck like and more 'do your own search' (call it grind if you will) AND introduce loss of modules then. Currently as luck is involved with RNG element I will agree losing modules permanently is a bit of bummer. Anyways, it is not that current approach is that bad, but I would like to see more persistent damage to ship to make things more interesting in future, to have a bit more depth. Without getting overly complicated though. - - - Updated - - - But due of credits coming so easily, especially with engineered ships, isn't a bit false disadvantage? Owners of such ships never really runs out of credits.

Sandro, but would you rule it outright posibility for commanders who aren't careful enough to lose their modules permanently - both engineered and not engineered? I think not having slow ticking bomb trough tear and wear makes a game a bit way too careless regarding ship maintenance. I don't want to be hardcore, but some level of attention required would be nice.

iEagle ! (For some reason I don't get on well with Vipers) I use mine as an interceptor, with virtually zero jump range and bounty hunt locally, interdicting, going into CZ's and it's a total blast. Of course you have to watch it with keeping rebuy money in the bank but it's such a fun little ship, fast and with the medium hardpoint (and two small ones) a fair upgrade from standard Eagle. I run a medium beam and a pair of heat seeker missile racks which are really satisfying to use. Welcome back Cmdr o7

Did you know : Humour is so difficult to translate, that common advice given trainee translators is for instance when Barak Obama made a joke, the translator may not even try to translate but will say to President Xi (Jinping, China) .. "Mr Obama just said something funny, please laugh". Yup. It's another true story!

Back on topic mind, booted up 2.3.01 on my ridiculous underspec lappy this morning and found a much smoother flight and massively improved experience from 2.3. Finding NPC crew images not loading in crew lounge (will monitor) and a minor audio bug in Commodities, with missing sound effect on tons being added to sell/buy (with hold mouse). Haven't gotten through everything yet but at 2.3 I thought I might have to put ED down for good. Nope, it still runs! (which is still amazing to me).

I had to laugh at this because, as a teenager I once attended a british Royal Navy engineering recruitment day - showed us a joystick on a console that was related to firing some sort of missile, and they guy said: So this is where you find out that being in the Navy is just like playing computer games all day long ;).

This is a really interesing point. Though I can see why you might want engineered scanners on a fighter, it's good for explorers (and miners) too, so would think either the blueprint needs to be available at Farseer too, or only, or different types of upgrade blueprints across engineer bases, depending on what it's likely wanted for. An explorer's scanner could eat power or have really low integrity and so on ... Python into a CZ though Cmdr?? An armed trader, mining vessel, handy in a USS but CZ .. just no? The canopy is really exposed and the rebuy, high. Suggest Imperial Eagle, on sorties into CZ's and you'll have way more fun; one single trade delivery mission in Python, funds about ten Eagle rebuys.

Mission boards just refused to load for me. Now I can't even take a mission. Previously I could take a mission but may or may not be able to turn them in.

Well... 2.3.0.1 didn't help. In fact now it's worse for me. Can't even get it to load to TAKE a mission. Passenger Lounge is the same too.

Isn't the trick to it to get out of gun range (4km) and wait for the Feds to arrive? They do arrive in a high security system (don't in an Anarchy) but does take them some time to get to you. Would it not be really weird if wherever and whenever you got interdicted, there's ALWAYS a bunch of security ships, sitting there waiting, just to save your sorry backside? Improvements to C&P (ppl suggest a lot) could really wreck ED's dangerousness if not handled with care imo, even a single solar system is a big place? (+ I swear sometimes, it's not a world of men).

Sympathies to the OP though I can't help thinking, your stream stays more hardcore and more interesting, if you stay in the wild wild west of open play? Yes rebuys happen but an NPC can do that to you too and I'd be more interested to watch a streamer who, if you like deliberately put themselves in harm's way. If you're flying an Eagle you've got every justification to be wary of hollow square blips on radar, so cat and mouse evasion is something to talk about (or hairy fly-by's, to show your viewers a griefer's paintjob before getting the heck out of there, a game of chicken) sounds to me more entertaining than a PvE stream. Riskier, but there's the rub. Good luck anyway whatever you decide.

  8. It is ages old nick of my name Peter localized version, and with first letter of surname. So pronouncing it would be rather difficult Pecis K maybe?

Thanks for the rep! Your seven green blobs seem to add 7 rep points. Or is it 16, like below? BTW how to pronounce 'Pecisk'?
