    Marc, taking break is fine, I am doing it all the time. As for payouts, take a screenshot of regular scenario you see and let's hope devs take a look. It might be disbalance, it might be ok.

    Sure, each ED system holds thousand of players at once. You can meet up to 32 players (sometimes even more) at one go, and fact systems are so huge it really does change little - besides connection issues which impact matchmaking. So it is essentially playing together simultaneously. Not sure how to call it differently. It is all about how instances are created - hint: classic MMOs all create instances and segregate players even on same server, see SWTOR - and how they are managed trough matchmaking.

    Jex, none of current crop of MMORPGs have more than 20 players in one location. It isn't WoW, those times are over. People are evenly spread over many games and measurement of 'number of players in one instance' really does not qualify game as MMO. So what is MMO exactly? It is Massive Multiplayer Online. ED ticks all these three boxes. And for bonus it is BGS, all dynamic, all player input encompassing system, which ties ED together and makes it most dynamic MMO besides EvE. So ED is MMO. It is not MMORPG and it is certainly not your classic MMO game you have played over the years.

    It is design that keeps ED approachable for casual players unfortunately. FD is damned if they do, and damned if they don't. Although to be fair if you engage in game fully and don't rush for ships your skill grows organically. So it basically all comes down to player choice.

    Basically FD is inviting flows of salt because they allow people to grind their ships. It is however consistent with their open approach. You can have Anaconda, but if you can't fly it and if you obsess with having teh best optimal module set, you will have hard time to supporting it due of costs. Similar to exploring galaxy - if FD would have went with awesome sounding hyperpath discovery people would have given up on exploring. ED is asking for certain buy in but if you don't try to do that that's fine but game then just won't work fully for you.

    Well, yeah, see, this is what some of loudest complains come from and unfortunately this is something that won't change ever, because ED is clearly not designed to suit this particular niche. There's certainly market for space ship building game, and I know several ones that are incoming in market and I hope people will find their fun there. As Yoda said - or didn't - do or don't do, there's no try.

    But that's how some people choose to engage with game. In real life some people would grind for money to get Lamborghini or Ferrari too. And that's fine. That's their choice. No one really forced them to do so, they choose their path themselves (and yes, I wouldn't mind to drive Lamborghini at least once in my life too). I could grind for Anaconda, but frankly it is a huge ship which I will be too nervous to fly. I am really surprised it is sort of go to ship for many players despite it clearly not being best for anything.

    How this is bad? It is up to players to engage in rescuing people. But not all of them will be able to reward it with huge lumps of money. So what if there's random factor? This is very good idea, and similar to mine above ^^^^. Wasn't there planetary S&R missions already? I would want something for space too. And overall yes to more S&R missions in general.

    It *tries* to simulate space and space life. It is not pure simulation, but it puts quite an effort to make feel of space commander *life*, both with boring and adventure parts. It tries to make commander life interesting with changing galaxy on every step. It also tries not to give all tools away too easily.

    If your goal is big 3 then yes. But that's already talked on other threads. I personally believe flying big ship should be a status of good and experienced Elite player.

    Additionally I wouldn't want escape pods to have big price tag for rescuing. I would prefer them to spawn either mission branch, or some info bit that might be useful, material rewards....something more substantial and personal. Scrap however could be just direct 'black gold', sold in credits.

    SR agents seem to be more of intro of mechanics than fleshing it out. It is mostly due of more escape pods floating around in space, they are now legit scoopable and deliverable. There *should* be missions, but I haven't played 2.4 that much to confirm that they spawn somewhere I am visiting though. FD might need to clarify this part. I expect this to be added more during Beyond. It is nice simple mechanic which needs to be extended, as assets are all there, and all it needs connecting all tissue over bones.

    While it would be awesome to see burned out fully deserted station, I don't expect it to happen very soon. Stations are huge and I doubt you would see them completely destroyed. Even partially destroyed they can be and will most likely be operational. As for burning - well, oxygen.
