It's alright the Don's fat fingers cant look up the system map to check where the black markets are. Yep a black market is a black market. Its not the one controlled by approved of or managed by the owner of the system.

Not so much opposite of demonisation but an aspect of 'play', in the meta-games of life & societies sense. As children, we play with others as a way of learning how to be good at life by mutual negotiation of the 'rules' as it were, whether unspoken or openly communicated/taught. Children that learn to play with others by negotiated rules with other kids and not cheat and let other children win some of the time (I gather it is about 40%) are the kids that are invited back the most to play again and best socialised/well adjusted with other kids. If a kid comes up with their own self-slanted rules of play/socialising/interacting that insists everyone else has to play whether they like those rules or not, are the kids that are ignored by other kids who go and find other players that will negotiate and the 'my rules only' kid gets known as being the 'weird kid' that nobody wants to play with Well guess what? It's the same with adults! Except when you're a kid/teen, society and the world around you...

The problem with bigots that paint you/a demographic group as evil/villain/oppressor (the ludicrous idea that an individual is collectively responsible for crimes committed by other mwembers of that group) --or at the very least, look askance at your morals, humanity, or integrity-- is once that person stops doing so, they then have to start addressing the issue by making an argument. I'm a unicorn and everyone has to call me a unicorn and tell me what a lovely sparkly horn I have or else you're a bigot. - There, that's post-modernism socially fractionating taken to a ludicrous degree. Think I'm being extreme for sake of making a point? Not at all. We are already there.

If that is the case, how is the truth discovered without dialogue? Without exploration of the territory -known and unknown- of an issue?

As a supplemental to my last post, I found a Q&A on half the two speakers: (The other being neurologist(?) Dr Norman Doige), where Dr Doige offers as L/R brain insight on the issue of divisiveness:

    1. And you do?... 2. Who gets to decide? 3. "Thats why such things should not be Debated ... ... People often do not understand the topic nor have any idea what the Evidence is and how it works." And you do?...In that case I suggest a youtube channel setting out your position. Anyhow, which is all the more reason to have dialogue and discussion! Bring issues into the light to scrutinise poke and prod, not keep them in the darkness, where they fester and grow. Rather like vampires (hey, funny that). Bad ideas...truly bad ideas -not ones that we merely disagree with- wither and crumble under strong and open scrutiny in the Thunderdome of Ideas. Bad ideas do not go away when banned or ignored - they must be refuted utterly and some, with every new generation that are eager to look for easy, pat solutions to the Human condition and societies problems. That, is literally the nature of the beast.

I'd do this for anyone in the same situation man or woman, so never-mind what she says or her chip on shoulder 3rd wave postmodern gobbledegook feminisms, keep doing it, it's merely basic consideration.

Do I unerstand this correctly? If I name my ship for free the only person who see its name is me? If so doesnt that piece of contract already exist. I named all my ships ages ago for free and no one else knows what they are called. Surely this cant be the case with the new feature?

Yeah, illness/sudden disability, loss of a job, bereavement, general suffering in life that everyone bears, getting older, rejection, divorce, that gives it meaning and that cannot be explained away or denied by isms as 'constructs of society', to use the most familiar postmodern ones. (As JBP puts it, "There's nothing more real than your own pain.")

"Ideological Possession", as Jordan B Peterson coins it, is oft curable by a catastrophic or unavoidable collision with a life reality, existential crisis or tragedy that an aspect of the ideology cannot resolve.

I gather hatred of women and people in general like Misanthropy are in the DSM-IV (The 'misos' appear connected to Nihilism) as are rare phobias of religion or homosexuality that are commonly mass diagnosed by non-psychiatrists in the general public, with this-phobia or that-phobia.

By definition all ideology is incomplete, being pseudo-intellectual baubles that can possess those that cannot -or unable to learn to- think. Thinking is bloody hard, we can all think, but it takes a great deal of effort for us, with few exceptions, oft extremely famous. You cannot assume an ought from an is. The most pathological ideologies are those that are fundamentally based on the implicit assumption that one's knowledge is complete - for if your knowledge is complete you have become God. It is not -I would imagine- necessary, or perhaps should be necessary for me to explain why this is a road to Abaddon...

Well I'm the kind of guy that likes to take an idea over to the light to have a damned good long look at it, or like to treat more or less every issue like a toaster - turn it upside down and shake it till all the crumbs fall out. In other words, I like to give Ideologies, isms, ideas of all kinds intense shakedown cruises: forensic scrutiny, questioning, logic tests and and see which is still standing afterwards, 'The Thunderdome of Ideas', if you like. Ideas and notions of the "If only we all adhered to brand 'X' ideology, the world's problems would be solved" or single cause explanations of why human problems exist in society & civilisations ...are my favourite for this intense scrutiny because they are oft the most revealing about the deepest of human psychological motives. Some of these motives help drive us toward a goal, other motives we may not even want to admit to ourselves.

I've noticed an odd thing in examining issues with both Socialist-leaning friends and Conservative leaning friends: The former tend to dislike a forensic debate and lose friends doing so, the latter tend to relish and seek out a damn good vigorous, forensic debate, and make new or strengthen friendships doing so.

Why not? Are they not scrutinisable forensically, are they so dangerous that they cannot be faced and defeated in debate To not do so is either Bigotry. or Debate cowardice. Chicken Buk-buk-buuuuk! If you like, there is always someone that is unaware that it is an "oblate spheroid", to quote Stephen Fry.
