Well I'm the kind of guy that likes to take an idea over to the light to have a damned good long look at it, or like to treat more or less every issue like a toaster - turn it upside down and shake it till all the crumbs fall out.
In other words, I like to give Ideologies, isms, ideas of all kinds intense shakedown cruises: forensic scrutiny, questioning, logic tests and and see which is still standing afterwards, 'The Thunderdome of Ideas', if you like. Ideas and notions of the "If only we all adhered to brand 'X' ideology, the world's problems would be solved" or single cause explanations of why human problems exist in society & civilisations ...are my favourite for this intense scrutiny because they are oft the most revealing about the deepest of human psychological motives. Some of these motives help drive us toward a goal, other motives we may not even want to admit to ourselves.
