Um, if the ship lands upside down then isn't down up and up is down? Which means the ship is right side up... :D Good try though.

Please no. The only piece of basic airmanship and navigation is flying to co-ords. The whingers have no gratitude for the Zero Meridian. We should do a season with arbitrary zero meridians. You get one, but it doesn't match anyone else's. Then when we get the Common Zero Meridian back, it will fill the gap. Instead of easy mode waypoints I propose "Player Beacons"

My kid likes the idea that the Alliance should have some kind of mega trade ship with a ridiculous cargo capacity. Like 4000 tons or something. He drew this back when my "big ship" was a Clipper, and you can see a couple on there for scale. Oh and it is still surprisingly maneuverable because it has thrusters on the wing tips.

I see "How to trade in open" vids from multiple sources. They feature the T-7. Wish someone would do one for the T-9. But I suspect you've just got to take the rebuy.

Just to be clear, if you ever hear me use the word "griefer" it's really because of a lack a better term. Tbh, I think these guys are doing a community service by being willing to be branded as Wanted. I mean, without them the game would be pretty boring. I was at the CG tonight, ran interference with some other relative PvP-neophytes, while in my Corvette and Vulture. Was a blast. I got my butt handed to me on several occasions when we were massively outnumbered, and came back for more every time. Died 3 times, killed as many. Was great fun, and learned a lot! Mostly that I have some more engineering to do, lol. So honestly, I give you a hard time sometimes, but thanks SDC for being you. Some of you may be gruff and others may actually work hard at milking salt, but you put on one hell of a show. And one hell of a fight!

Whether folk like/dislike or use/not use DC it MUST always be an option, to keep ED as accessible to as many folk as possible.

Ah fair enough. On the other hand however, as a former tailor's assistant I have a lot of issues with Daniel Craig's dodgy over tight tailoring and things that are off in his James Bond films, but at the same time I can set that aside and realise it's a film it's fantasy - not realism to any significant degree. Besides, on ED, surely in the future we'd have 'inertial dampers' by then?

I posit they were expressly designed that way using specific soundscapes and frequencies from nature: 1. Bull elephant infrasound 2. Tiger and lion roars. 3. earthquake infrasounds. All of these have been found to evoke a predator response reaction in primates AND humans!

Indeed, the fact that Naval FSD technology of the superpowers that these Leviathanic craft have is SO far advanced of anything civillians have --though likely not as advanced as Thargoid tech-- could possibly mean they can 'hide' in an area by generating a WitchSpace mini-instance (for want of a better idiom), a mini buble universe perhaps? Maybe it makes them as heavy as planetoids? Speculation of course...

Fair point. I was using a Vulture and going weapons hot with each interdiction and fighting until the last possible second. It's definitely more fun for everyone that way, and technically they do have a chance to kill me. I'm sure someone will do it eventually. Maybe even this CG? Right now though some unhappy people are using Multicrew too much and breaking the instances at Abroin. So not much going on despite there being a lot of people.

Yup! I found out later after I joined a pick up wing ;) Normally I fly solo, independent, or with federal forces, but these Imperials were fighting the "content delivery specialists" so it was a good fit. Eventually my regular independent wing buddies showed up and we had a little better success. I am new to PVP faction politics but the 13th seemed pretty cool at first blush.

Scooping by hand is a pain on some ships. Use the external camera to have a look where your cargo hatch is placed on your ship. When it is aft of the cockpit your control inputs won't match quite right. And ignore the canister in your window. Concentrate on the one in the target.

You gain rep with the faction that gives you the mission. There are some influence effects on the faction that recieves the mission, but your reputation only comes from whoever issued the mission. But your fundamental problem here is that you've picked the wrong team #nevertrustafed ;-)

This ^^ a lot of things people put down to RNG are actually procedurally generated, but without obvious inputs. I've not had the patience for mining since the nerfing of the zero-cost-price trade exploit had the unfortunate side effect of killing mining as a BGS activity. But much rep to Ian for compiling this. More wonderful stuff brought to you by NULL.

Walt what? So you believe having griefers fail to kill your chain interdictor police ship will make the killers more happy than ignorable kamikaze Sidewinders? Common man, you know they are simply there to PVP and chalk up kills right? A sidewinder to them is a fun little snack. But a slippery target that reduces their kill tally to zero/hr is enough to break all but the most determined pirate/ganker. And btw, you are wrong. I have been so successful with my (survival) chain interdiction technique, that PVPers have actually changed hats and joined me in policing because "if you can't beat em join em". Though most just get frustrated after an hour of being check mated and try to find a new instance. And last night I scored my first PvP bounty hunting kill at a CG. I've come close so many times, but since it's usually me vs 3-7 pirates, the most I can usually do is knock out the shields and dent their hull on one ship before waking out to reset the cycle. And this time I did it saving a long...

This has been the case for a long while now, and was uncovered during the Salome event. It's pretty well documented. Denying it won't speed up the fix either ;)

Has frontier said whether spacelegs will include VR support? I imagine that if they do have VR in FPS mode, that will be a major hurdle to the release, since creating a viable platform for FPS VR where you can reorient and translate in 6 degrees of freedom (x,y,z,φ,θ,ψ). Granted we can already do this in ships and in an SRV, but even that view is fairly anchored, and driving in VR already gives even the strongest stomachs a case of the willies.

In space, there are no walls. Or borders! :D Unless you count the exclusion zone, but hopefully Frontier are working on a cure for that too. ;)
