from the first day it was released time ago... I dreamed about the FER DE LANCE. It costs a lot anyway. Anyone has some suggestions to help me gain money? I just kitted my DBX to do some exploration... I heard that will grant me lots of money. 5A FSD, BEST SCANNER, SURFACE SCANNER, no weap, good shield and other internals at D spec and best FUEL SCOOP. I can jump very far (don't remember if 40+ or more in this moment) I need some suggestions. when I honk the scanner, many bodies appears, sometime 12+... and then i get closer to them and the Surface scanner starts and gives me details on materials and whatever. then?

antodena replied to a thread I'm about done. in PlayStation 4
I think this is simply not your kind of game. I really enjoy it by the first day I played it on December 2014. I'm playing now on the PS4 because my PC is less powerful than the PS4 and the graphics are way better on the PS4 for me, so I started over (and I would start over and over again if I had to). From the first minute I was immersed in a reality that I really love. I really enjoy. It's kinda a work. I had to work hard, to get my money and be able to have better things. I mean it's a sandbox where I can feel like Ian Solo without the hassle of having an huge wookie farting near me and leaving hairs on my ship consoles. Maybe you need some less open and more action focused videogame to feel entertained. Elite is very contemplative sometimes, and also very very difficult for the standard gamer. Those are my two cents on this, I'm not blaming you for this, it's just my considerations.

Or what if the pitch and tone varied by ship? We could form a discochoir!

I for one would love to see the beige banished and the smooth valleys vanished Alas, there's a lot of work involved in that and much consideration of priority, work involved and availability of resources. I'll just have to wait before I get the SRV properly prospecting again

Welcome to the forums DreadLion72, I'm an original BBC B Micro Elite player too. Though I never reached Elite on that or the Atari ST. Time to make up for that failing on Elite: Dangerous eh ;)

The only adjustment on the rift is IPD, or distance between pupils. You cannot alter the distance from lens to eye. I cannot speak for the Vive though o7

Welcome Commander! Delighted to have you onboard and thank you for contributing to Elite. Fly safe, drive sound and good luck with your galactic pastimes. The Galactic AcademyMentors will set you up for initial play-through and beyond. The following thread will help you find collaborative game-play and some. The single best recommendation is to seriously take your time and experiment before you commit or switch between game-mode and play style. Don’t be afraid of a do-over or two and if needs be ‘clear your save’ can be found in-game under options menu. Have fun acclimating, play-testing and configuring your control schemes to benefit you specifically long-term while you carry on with all-out whizzing about in the black. The secret to piloting is persistence with mastering: sweet-spot manoeuvrability, ship power distribution, silent running mechanics and flight assist deployment. Uncle Art Music, ED Shipyard, ED-Blog, Lave Radio, Fireytoad, Kerrash Landing, Drew Wagar's Blog, Alec-s-best-of-the-forum and...

Whether folk like/dislike or use/not use DC it MUST always be an option, to keep ED as accessible to as many folk as possible.

Ah fair enough. On the other hand however, as a former tailor's assistant I have a lot of issues with Daniel Craig's dodgy over tight tailoring and things that are off in his James Bond films, but at the same time I can set that aside and realise it's a film it's fantasy - not realism to any significant degree. Besides, on ED, surely in the future we'd have 'inertial dampers' by then?

I posit they were expressly designed that way using specific soundscapes and frequencies from nature: 1. Bull elephant infrasound 2. Tiger and lion roars. 3. earthquake infrasounds. All of these have been found to evoke a predator response reaction in primates AND humans!

Indeed, the fact that Naval FSD technology of the superpowers that these Leviathanic craft have is SO far advanced of anything civillians have --though likely not as advanced as Thargoid tech-- could possibly mean they can 'hide' in an area by generating a WitchSpace mini-instance (for want of a better idiom), a mini buble universe perhaps? Maybe it makes them as heavy as planetoids? Speculation of course...
