That's in conflict zones and you don't get wanted from fighting in them.

I've removed the image as it has your email address in it.. Probably best if you don't show that.

Solo mode is the only answer. There is an engineer mod that can increase the range of any weapon to 6km with no damage fall-off, meaning if they hit you from 6km away you also receive the same damage as being hit from point blank...

If other players can telepresent from one side of the galaxy to the other, I absolutely expect my NPC crew to be able to do the same.

No ire. If the rule applies to super powers it something similar should apply to independents too. Otherwise it is skewing results in one direction. based on nothing more than random traffic. My concern is about the players experience. EDIT - The super powers have plenty of tangible BGS effects. Do missions for them and get the most powerful ships in the game is the first that comes to mind.

Wouldn't be the first time. They did the same with Modified Embedded Firmware, first it was part of the mission reward loot table, then the a major update removed it from all missions. Like this time, it happened in utter silence, not a single word from FD, neither as a warning beforehand, nor an acknowledgement after it happened, or any comment as to their reasoning. Now Cracked Industrial Firmware has some uses significantly more important than Modified Embedded Firmware, including the best upgrades to thrusters and power distributors, so maybe this time there will be enough people speaking up that FD feel compelled to maybe do something about it. P.S.: FD, I will not play your hack-against-the-clock base-assault minigame. I find that so utterly terrible that I would rather uninstall the game if I ever get into a situation where it becomes my only means of acquisition of a material I need. P.P.S.: Seriously. Stop the railroading.

Because Elite: Dangerous is the fourth game in a series of games. Galnet has confirmed that the modes of travel from the previous games are canonical (https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/586f796c9657ba3357039d07) and this is the first game to feature Super Cruise. Unless Frontier have seriously retconned Super Cruise into the previous games we have to understand it as a new technology.

And this ladies and gentlemen is why censorship is so terrible, you end up not even being able to cite a reference.

It is supposed to be Salomé - don't know how to do an é on my phone. ;) And there is only one 'Salomé' in the game. Cheers, Drew.

That's the problem ... if they departed knowing anything about Supercruise then this ship didn't leave for it's destination until sometime in the 3290s. Supercruise and Frame Shift go hand-in-hand. This ship looks too much like the previous Generation Ship which is hundreds of years old. Things just don't add up. If they left in the 3290s why not just book some seats on a few dozen Belugas or Orcas and get to your destination in a few minutes or hours instead of a few generations? Only two scenarios make any sense to me: 1. They left sometime in the 3290s with no specific destination in mind. They simply wanted to enjoy a lifetime secluded from the rest of humanity. 2. They left a long time ago but have had subsequent with human beings in possession of technology from the late 3200's / early 3300's. - - - Updated - - -

May not have been the first ship they met that had Supercruise, they could've met peaceful explorers using Supercruise before.
