I had thought it likely to be the exiles personally. Although it could just as easily be the AI, or one of the races the Guardians hunted for sport, a lifeform the Guardians engineered or another alien race completely. I will have to read back through the messages but from memory there are more details pertaining to the end of the Guardians. Could be some info to help narrow down who or what the adversary was.

I thought that site I linked had a summary, but then went on to list all the in game messages at what I thought were word for word? I cant access google docs spreadsheets so would you know if there are many significant differences between the two lists? I'm pretty sure I have a decent grasp on what facts each message gave from the link I provided, but would hate to be wrong because something was written differently :/ The thread is mainly just speculation, but good food for thought and does provide some solid info. Of course, not everything in the thread should be taken as fact, but definitely worth a read in my opinion.

Fair call on the exiles, had skipped my mind. The main Guardians are all gone, but the exiles could have survived and evolved drastically. The acceptance of AI sentience and complete integration could mean the exiles have ascended beyond being as we humans do, living in bodies that don't die, with extreme bio-mechanical upgrades. If the exiles found a way to communicate with humans like Halsey, warning them that if they continued with the way things are as a species they are at risk of activating the Guardians automated battle fleets, biological weaponry, or even some sort of genetically manipulated for war lifeform. Too many possibilities to know for sure. The threat could be any number of things. I believe humans will be viewed as a scourge by the Guardians. Destruction and ravaging of natural resources and even entire races, wherever humans go in the galaxy it happens. If I were an ancient alien tasked with protecting the natural order of the galaxy I sure as frak wouldn't let pests like humans keep...

They must all be shows that I'll rewatch, so some great programmes haven't made the list, like The Expanse and Game of Thrones, shows I thoroughly enjoy but don't actually rewatch. 1) Babylon 5 2) Quantum Leap 3) Frasier 4) Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister (technically they're two, but...) 5) Red Dwarf

Some excellent facts and crazy good speculation in this thread > https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/322482-Carnivorous-Space-Elves-AKA-The-Guardians Dont be turned off by the pics like many are, bear in mind that is just one persons artistic vision of what the guardians could possibly look like. The information that is in the OP of that thread is undeniably helpful and factual. Also for a look at the Guardians ruins data as decoded by Ram Tah, check here > http://remlok-industries.fr/1030/the-guardians-lore/?lang=en Of course spoilers aplenty in both links so be aware of that for any who wanted to attempt the guardians stuff on their own.

If she seemed smarter, I'd wonder if she's doing all this circus just to win the majority and cling to power for the next 5 years. I mean, in the sense that she'd try to wiggle out of the whole (hard) Brexit mess after the elections. Alas, I don't think she's that smart. She's riding this one all the way down to hell.

Is an interesting suggestion, not sure if its been done before or how difficult it would be though. So for basic example tier 1 might be one set of commodities for one reward, tier 2 something different and so on? Might be tricky. I would add in one specific commodity that doesn't change though, something to keep it consistent across all tiers. Lavian brandy or something for when the crew gets thirsty. The rest of the commodities could reflect each tier. Another thing though would be a lot of global rewards crammed in, might be trying to squeeze too much out of the one CG. Basically just want the Zurara investigated, cleaned out and hauled back to the bubble. They could all just go into a single CG or two at the most really. Is a good point that it may be sabotaged again on the way back, which is why I think it smart to just get an investigation team on the Zurara as soon as possible before she is moved. If some shadowy group tries to destroy it on the way home at least the information taken from...

Maybe, maybe not. Arguably their loss if they don't want to go along with the development AND the game, which you can (if you want) see as two pieces of entertainment for the price of one. But at the end of the day, once you own the game license, if people do want to dip in and out there's no extra cost to them. Yes the DLC then goes to fans .. but what else can expect?

You're not looking beneath the surface Cmdr, you're commenting on the very top veneer. When you're completely reworking player instancing bugs are going to be REALLY nasty and when player instancing is what's being reworked, that's an iceberg; by far the bigger portion below the surface. Yes, blah blah more veneer please .... but I'd rather see a decently made piece of furniture first? (and so forth and etc. metaphor)

I'm going to add that I feel 2.3 was probably the deepest code update we will ever see in ED. People are concerned about bugs I know but worth bearing in mind I think, what it takes (and means) to put the player into a completely different and shared, ship instance.

I don't buy that for ONE second, sorry. We're seeing massive code updates if you care to count the capabilities added to the game engine by each update. Engineers, Guardians, Commanders might well be headline features but that's nothing compared to the forward platforming, made possible by them. I like the DLC. By all weights and measures ED is a massive bargain (no server subscription) and despite what rubbish people might choose to say about it, the BGS (my opinion) is fun to play or ignore, whatever you like. Go SRV BASE jumping if you prefer. ED might be subtle in some ways (BGS) but technically speaking, and speaking personally, I'm seeing high art in the coding. Can bet your bottom dollar too, Frontier are way ahead of you and me.

Deep Recon X is a year old today! A modest endeavour many expected to come and go, has simply come, gone, come back again, then headed out further! Congratulations to every CMDR involved, however peripherally, in DRX's continued growth and reach. Thank you all! Chris Drake.

As many of you will know, personal reasons kept me from launch at short notice on Saturday. However, it's hard to over-state how happy I am with even these early days. DRX is one year old today. It's a testament to our pioneering spirit that we show less than zero sign of waning. Happy Birthday! Right on, CMDRs!

SO! This is it! Deep Recon X is one year old today. Congratulations to all you Day-One CMDRs. To all you Day-XX CMDRs we've always been glad to have you on-board. And to all you Day-erm, maybe CMDRs, when you're ready. Everyone involved in DRX, all who've supported us, even without joining, to all who've offered criticism, to any and all who've interacted with DRXers in the past year (whether you knew it or not - and there's a chance you didn't know, not ever DRXer flies the colours) - To you all, I wish thank you. for making DRX once of the more positive gaming experiences around. Sincerely, DRX would not exist but for your input. Happy Birthday, Deep Recon X!
