Imperial slave not shipped in cabins fetch the same price as normal slaves (this woudl cove rthe loss of those who expire in transit or arrive damaged) and / or are treated as illegal as they have not been afforded rights? At the moment prisoners and refugees get better treatment than imperial slaves.

I'd submitted my best effort of 11:05 on Sunday night when I decided to give it one more go and got in a 9:49. I still made mistakes (I think one approach was a double loop AND drop out 100km+ from the station, but the difference from my earlier runs was that I didn't try things that I'm rubbish at. I'm not very good at threading the needle during approach, but I can do a bad imitation of a Cookiehole looped approach (that's my normal Asp-X method) so I stuck with that. I'm not very good a nailing the sweet spot on the pad to stop instantly, so I made sure that I wasn't going stupidly fast entering the station - so I knew that I'd hit the building behind the pad rather than the back of the station. One thing that's taking getting used to in a fast little ship, is only having time to cancel and request a new pad once. Docking in The Nomad I can manage 2 or 3 cancellations and still have time to line up, so I can usually get a pad that I like, but in Stormrider I need to start accepting "anything except...

experiences like this will teach you, that you might loose a couple of millions, but nothing can take the experience from you! a good reasoon to max out the enjoyment of playing the game instead of playing for pixel-credits :-) i know what i'm talking about ... my first trip to sag a* was in fact three trips, as i got destroyed twice each time with weeks of exploration data on board. you shrug it off after a break, and grow on it. kudos for not ranting, +rep!

The supercruise approaches in this one are evil, and I've definitely had a few double loops when my first 'braking' loop of shame has quite slowed me down enough. This has often meant that I've ended up dropping out behind the station and having to fly past the arms of doom - well played Edelgard. :) I didn't have chance to race yesterday (it ended up a straight choice between playing for an hour and watching Game of Thrones) and might not manage another run before Friday - hopefully I won't slip too far behind in the meantime. I'm fairly sure that I made a few mistakes in my 9:49 run, so I'm expecting a master of SC like Cookiehole or Alot to smash the 9 minute barrier.

not in terms of efficiency (tonnage per hour as well as cr/h), as tested at several mining CGs by several commanders. pythons beat cutters, condas and t9s - and clippers. people usually overestimate the importance of cargo space and travel time to station, and underestimate the time spend turning between the asteroids, waiting for distributor recharge or the collectors keeping up. mining corvettes are definetly better than a python in my experience, though (large powerdistributor, enough internals to match active collectors and number of sustained mining lasers, good cargo capacity, and turns well between the asteroids).

    - why would you put a powerplant into a build which exceeds the power used? the heatefficiency fully depends on quality (A-E), not on size. - the "undersized" fueltank of that build allows exactly the same jumps as a condas standard fueltanks (4 jumps). do you put extra fueltanks on your conda when exploring? (i don't)

i suggest that we change waypoint nr. 8 Syroifoe CL-Y g1 (The Syroifoe Oasis) to the red supergiant PZ Cassiopeia (HIP 117078) - or that we make a basecamp there.

here you go: https://eddp.co/u/haX8no7G >40 ly plotted jumprange. you could squeeze more out of it if you'd fit d-class thrusters, an undersized shield, drop the wake and manifest scanner, go for a class 1 plasma slug railgun instead of the PA, don't want boost or just take a single srv etc. there is an old, but good thread of newman how to build exploration ships: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=219633

not enough collectors for a beginner imho, try something like this: https://eddp.co/u/NbY3Z3F3 (10 active collectors) if he would hit, there would be mining fragments.

you need to get closer to the asteroid. or sell our turreted mining laser - a fixed one won't fire out of range.

Basically he not calling for it at all. Just 'oh woudlnt it be nice if we had more of a say but hey ho lets see how it goes. Can I be on TV please? That hype bandwagon sure looks nice. I think I'll get on board' Ireland's recent ambassador to Canada.. erm yeah he's all up in the EU. "former diplomat" not 'present diplomat' Well he got his picture in the papers I guess. Good for him!

pretty much. you can d-class almost everything, and park it at a station close to a pristine metallic ring (so you don't need more than a d-class FSD) - a very capable mining ship for below 10 mio total. which probably is one of the problems of a mining keelback - a d-class aspE will be cheaper and outperform it.

Slowing down enough to land has definitely been a problem flying Stormrider, I'm used to much more leisurely landings in The Nomad.

best ship for mining is a corvette. second best is a python (regularly beating cutters, t9s and condas at mining CG). clipper is a great miner. AspE is a good one, as well as Orca and Federal Dropship. a common mistake is to fit not enough collector limpets. you want as many mining lasers as your powerdistributor can sustain, and you want 4-5 active collectors per medium mining laser for the beginning. avid miners go down to 3 by positioning the ship over the roid of fragments.

assuming you use gimbals, i'd go for 1 emissive pulse ... and maybe (but not necessarily) a scramble spectrum. mc: one corrosive. running my viper with 1 small ammo increased corrosive mc, 1 small emissive pulse and two medium bursts (one scramble) for endless pew pew.
