    I think currently it works quite well like this. I have seen 20 police ships jumping in for 1 hard to kill poor in high sec. Scaling is definitely there. What's lacking is high end ships and engineered mods for NPCs. Does not mean that part of code should not get a code review pass. It definitely can and should be improved, making those changes even more underlined.

    I think AI is quite good for non-engineered ship to handle. What's lacking is Deadly and Elite packing some engineered modules and weaponry. I hope cops will start to use more firepower against overpowered griefers. And no, all NPCs should not being ridiculously OP. I like both variety and scale of difficulty introduced by MoM. It can be better, way better. And we all hope and see there are constant improvements made. But engineered mods should return to NPC ships at some point. That's a no brainer.

    They aren't. There's reason why Chrome books and iPads are extremely popular es general computing devices. And ironically, that's why people pick up consoles too - and that's why Valve wants to do SteamOS and Steam Machine in first place. Linux with GNOME Shell is *perfect* for casual user. Setup all devices they have, show how to upload photos and you are set. As I said, power user will *never* migrate and they should be never even bothered with.

    Because you will have to trust FD on this one - it is hard to roll such extensive change/improvement all at once. This seems good first step, and it is important to see bigger picture here. Hopefully Karma is first thing to come in post 2.4 update (whatever versioning will be). Inject some consequences for behaving badly.

    I'll pin my colours to the mast and say it'll be an Ok game that'll be soon forgotten. To exercise my point, without looking it up, how many rollercoaster games have Frontier made since they released Elite Dangerous? Exactly. Jurassic Whatever will be mediocre at best and soon forgotten after the film's release ... until Jurassic Whatever 2: The Cash Grab. This would have worked better as an expansion to Planet Coaster.

    Well, except, you know, David stating multiple times in the past that he wants to stand up from that chair in ED. First version of games planned in early 2000s had you to begin as person without ship. Reason why he started with ships and space because it matters more of course. Doesn't mean he doesn't want to extend or complete his vision. If FD will be able to do that reminds to be seen, but they are doing everything to get there.

    Actually that was idea of us many before we know what scavenging involved. I hope this become a thing in future, because it would make complete sense gameplay wise. That said I like current scavenger gameplay as well. Just needs to be more gameplay around it other than Engineers. Good to have few GCs now and then.

    Before disappearing completely, Elite and Deadly NPCs sported lot of Engineered mods which turned them into beasts. I think it is time for FD to introduce *possibility* for high end engineered ships to meet such beasts to even the odds.

    Don't expect separate story mode or campaign - FD will deliver both story and interaction integrated within game. I expect just more interaction with Thargoids, most possibly some new additional gameplay related to them (military service for example), etc. Game is a story, and story is a game.

    Both are difficult, but new ships - just judge from reactions here and on wider Internet - are sure seller for game. Lot of people play 'catch them all' on many MP games, and ED is not that different in that regard. Thing is any new mega feature will most likely require lot of work. MC was possible - although is that any big success reminds to be seen - due of avatars, Engineering is just basically extending modules with various balanced characteristics - and that's pretty much it. Any other big feature requires huge undertaking. NPC comms, speaking NPCs - all take considerable time (I will speculate it is already in works, due of some hints). More dynamic mission system (aka mission givers outside regular faction framework) - again, requires comms tree, better mission tracking. Again, lot of work done on that you can already see in game (chained missions, mission individual download from server, etc.). FD adding persistent POIs outside station/starport/settlement setup.     I remember that lot of players complained how much time it takes to get from ship to ship and that TTK (Time To Kill, absurd term on it's own, but here you go min maxers) just getting longer with engineered NPC ships. It is a bit paradox but PvP crowd stumped feet and demanded NPC ships to be easier...because they don't care and never cared about PvE and NPCs all together. They want *you* to think NPCs are boring, because I feel all decisions they forced upon devs are just to serve their goals. That's why I never take PvP input at full extent, because they never see game for it's entirely.
