I believe the devs are aware that IPv6 got broken during the last beta releases, should be fixed in the next one. I would actually love to hear some info from the devs wether IPv4 or IPv6 is preferable from a functionality perspective right now, though my totally unsubstantiated hunch would be IPv4 is. Thanks :)

Sorry to hear from some of you that you have to deal with wildly outdated infrastructure, I have been there and it's no fun :/ Since you already have an IPv6 address it might be worth it to check with your provider wether you're on dual stack or dual stack lite, in case you are relying on IPv4 features like port forwarding. I am aware that Frontier has added IPv6 support in the beta but it might well be the case that an IPv4 connection will remain the preferred way to play the game for while.

I'd do this for anyone in the same situation man or woman, so never-mind what she says or her chip on shoulder 3rd wave postmodern gobbledegook feminisms, keep doing it, it's merely basic consideration.

My internet provider (Vodafone/Kabeldeutschland Germany) decided to enable IPv6 for me today. Unfortunately IPv4 was done via dual stack lite and without going into any technical detail, this is something you do not want, especially for peer2peer. All I needed to do was to call em up and let them know that I need an actual IPv4 connection. A few hours later they set me up with proper dual stack (not dual stack lite), meaning I now have a regular IPv6 and IPv4 connection. Extra info: With dual...

In the 2.3 Beta Q&A Livestream Sandro said: Any discussions about comms panel colours? Yes colours are changing – it’s in 2.4 Link Does this mean we can change all HUD colors in 2.4? It shouldn't only be the comms panel.

X52 pro owner with Vive here. The stick is not a problem in VR. I'd love to recommend something better but as mp4x said, the warthog has no twist yaw. The X52 has sufficient buttons for Elite. I don't think any stick would be an issue in VR. The only thing that still gives me grief in VR to this date is the keyboard when chatting. It's immensely painful to type blindly because I keep starting with some offset.

wait, why were people of the opinion that ship names would not be displayed in the HUD without buying name plates? I have listened to all the QA streams, read all the patch notes and keep up with all dev posts in the forum and I have known for some weeks now that ship names will indeed be shown in the hud, vanity plates or not. color me confused.. Edit: oh, did not see that in the latest patch notes, however since the actual functionality has been known for a while I would have assumed that line...

Yeah, illness/sudden disability, loss of a job, bereavement, general suffering in life that everyone bears, getting older, rejection, divorce, that gives it meaning and that cannot be explained away or denied by isms as 'constructs of society', to use the most familiar postmodern ones. (As JBP puts it, "There's nothing more real than your own pain.")

"Ideological Possession", as Jordan B Peterson coins it, is oft curable by a catastrophic or unavoidable collision with a life reality, existential crisis or tragedy that an aspect of the ideology cannot resolve.

Ah, downloaded Notepad++ 64Bit, which saved the file in admin mode, however I just noticed another 2.3 upgrade so downloading that now also, so finally may be able to join the 2.3 Beta, a week or so after my 5

I gather hatred of women and others, like Misanthropy are in the DSM-IV (The 'misos' appear connected to Nihilism) as are rare phobias of religion or homosexuality that are commonly mass diagnosed by non-psychiatrists in the general public

By definition all ideology is incomplete, being pseudo-intellectual baubles that occupy those that cannot -or unable to learn to - think. You cannot assume an ought from an is. The most pathological ideologies are those that are fundamentally based on the implicit assumption that one's knowledge is complete - for if your knowledge is complete you have become God. It is not -I would imagine- necessary, or perhaps should be necessary for me to explain why this is a road to Abaddon.

Well I'm the kind of guy that likes to take an idea over to the light to have a damned good long look at it, or like to treat more or less every issue like a toaster - turn it upside down and shake it till all the crumbs fall out.

I've noticed an odd thing in examining issues with both Socialist-leaning friends and Conservative leaning friends: The former tend to dislike a forensic debate and lose friends doing so, the latter tend to relish and seek out a damn good vigorous, forensic debate, and make new or strengthen friendships doing so.

Why not? Are they not scrutinisable forensically, are they so dangerous that they cannot be faced and defeated in debate To not do so is either Bigotry. or Debate cowardice. Chicken Buk-buk-buuuuk! If you like, there is always someone that is unaware that it is an "oblate spheroid", to quote Stephen Fry.

Exactly, you test a strong idea with an idea as strong as it, or as strong as you can get it, leave ideology aside - Never drink your own Kool-Aid(TM) - and let battle commence!

Which is indeed the power of debate, QED. Two rhetorical questions: 1. How prevalent worldwide is the notion that water is dry or that the Earth is flat? 2. How easily is the fact that the earth is (roughly) round and not flat demonstrated?
