I am baffled why FD abandoned the real-world livery inspiration for their ship paintjobs, that I saw in their pre-launch concept art. I even opened a thread about this on the Suggestions and Feature Requests forum, that you might want to check. 385631

Super initiative ! Je suis du côté de Montpellier, si il y a des personnes du secteur nous pourrions imaginer du covoiture ou autre...

You know, according to concept art such as this I expected much much cooler paintjobs, with lots of individuality. It started promising, with all that real-world research put into painting schemes. But now the shop is full of uninspired, dull, dreary, samey, meh and garish paintjobs instead of ones we'd (I'd) be dying to use. Take the Asp for example: there's the Pharaoh/Apollo paintjobs that are nice/OK; the rest are passable. There's Expedition/United for the Beluga, Red Serpent for the Cobra, Pathfinder/Fayfarer for the Orca, Turbulence (almost there, failed Chris Foss attempt) for the Type 6, Blackjack for the Viper (community-sourced), and that's it. For most ships there's nothing inspiring to choose from the omnipresent selection of Tactical, Military, Vibrant or Squadron. Nothing with soul and individuality, nothing you'd (I'd) be itching to have on a ship. And it's a missed opportunity, as FDev could be cashing in more dough. So yeah, please go back to find inspiration in real-world livery...

Dunno. It is appears on the teaser, very close to the INRA bases. There is much probabilities that this Cobra is not the one Fitzroy Smiths (Oolite) but the one Rebecca Weston flew (Drew's "Status Quo"). Probably this one

It could be interesting to find it, indeed. Just a thing Yuksarr pushed to my attention. He said that there is some strakes, on the dark part of the pic, that seems to be mycoid strakes. So I try to lighten a bit the pic to see. It is a bit ambiguous. It could see as abrasion, but the color is not the same than the one we can see on the lighter part of the pic, or as rust strakes, but in this case, why only on this area of the ship, or as mycoid strakes. https://i.imgur.com/W2mQUmt.jpg Finding that ship could allow us to decide the issue

Interesting thoughts. I just wanted to add that this galnet news is also clearly a propaganda that attempt to tell us that AEGIS is not INRA, and is best as INRA was, thru the choice of the logs excerpts.

I can't wait for this. Even as bare as it is currently its great fun flying around the system, scouring the surface and trying to fly through those ring courses.

I use a thing called IRCCloud on the iPad which I like (and which is probably available for android too). There's also this ... https://confluence.fuelrats.com/display/FRKB/IRC+Client+Setup+Guides

Yes. It's brilliant! :D It's kind of a part time job ... you get your ship fitted out ready to rat, you get yourself an IRC client (preferably on a phone or tablet that you can keep an eye on while you go about your normal ED business). When a call for help comes in you check how many jumps away, call the jumps in the IRC chat and if the dispatcher assigns the case to you ... off you go. Sometimes you won't get a case for days, then others days you'll end up doing 3 or 4 in a row. Very rewarding and highly recommended. Yes, it could. You also must try to see if there is convois USS in the system. It is a good mark as there were some too on the systems where the bases was found.

How about simply being able to eject an entire cargo bay and tether it to an asteroid (or down on a planet somewhere) for later retrieval? That'd be pretty cool. And if another player stumbles upon it, or finds it by accident? So be it, they can simply steal it.

No grudge from me, just a bit shocked at what she wrote (not the tweet, the three little pigs thing). I've drunk posted some ill-considered stuff in my time, but vitriolic abuse of some of my most irritating customers? (veiled in humour tho it was) ... nope, even I don't get that wasted! :p

Totally agree re: burnout. Something about his videos always makes me want to jump straight back into the game and really start really doing stuff, making my own adventure and not just faffing around with credits and rep and aimless wondering. Incidentally, my first Thrustmaster T.Flight developed a faulty button after about a year and a half. For the price I simply nipped across the road to Maplins and bought another one. My second one is still going strong after another year and a half (but, as mentioned below, I've bought myself a spare at today's Amazon price of £29.99 just in case). So that's three sticks (with maybe 5yrs of daily use?) for under £100!

I haven't actually tried yet :p Those videos make the learning process look very doable but I guess watching and understanding them ... and actually putting them into practice ... are very different things.
