Yes, because it's my problem, not the game's. I didn't crop it in my head. I read it. And then simply cut to the chase. Does the developer care enough to fix it? Only time will tell. If the community at large cares about other things more? Those things will get the focus. That's how it works. People have been threatening to leave since alpha. It will just be white noise to the developer now. I'm not saying any of this is reasonable; but the ball is in Frontier's court. Where it's always been. Time will tell if the karma change is more band-aid, or fundamental rethink. It would be admission they got the original open model and security model wrong. I honestly think this has just got away from them, and they are still struggling to understand the disparity. Engineers, was little more than Jet A-1, on the existing fire. Edit: on reflection, "care" is probably not the word I want to use. Frontier care about the game. They would not persist with it if they did not. So perhaps it's more a willingness...

Perhaps you should re-read the changelog. You missed the "K"...

Greetings Commanders, As part of 2.4 we’ve improved missions in a few ways, including upping the variety and selection of missions on the mission board. You can see the full changelog here: (look under Missions to see all the changes that have been made) During the beta we will be stress testing the mission board system, specifically looking at how many missions we can populate the missions board with. We’ll be looking to find the optimal number of missions for both gameplay and performance. As a result of this you will find you’re able to accept a significantly larger number of missions are offered to you than usual. This is all part of stress testing the system, and will most likely not be indicative of what will be available on the mission board at launch. Previously the mission board was sent from the mission server as one single message, meaning that some mission boards...

I am sure you do. But here's the kicker. Ready? If the game sells anyway, which it is, and has, are they going to be motivated to fix it? What if the sales and stats and everything they have, tells them all people care about, in the vast majority of cases, is more ships, space legs, and habitable landable planets. What if, sadly, it's only you and me and another hundred people who care about it more, than simply which mode they will play in that day. I really want to see a kick butt criminal code that makes it just a ton better and more interesting for all. I just don't think enough of us do, to make that stick. The threat of "well people will just leave", if not born out in stats, and in game sales, and retention rates based on account logins; all the stuff Frontier can see? Is a super super hollow one. Arguably, it's been so bad, for so long, that most who were going to leave? Likely already have. Or have decamped to Solo/ PG and simply moved on. We hardy few. :)

I could get really irrationally angry at players who wear orange boxers, instead of pink, because how dare they. How could they do that? How could they? Because the world lets them, that's why. The game lets them, it's designed to let them, it's been built, on purpose, to let them. Criminal codes exist, not because it stops the evil orange boxer wearers, or the gankers at Sag A*, but because they will regardless. Laws don't exist to ensure compliance, they exist because compliance won't happen 100%. The galaxy bounty is just another capped cost of business for PVP; it means after a few commanders, it stops meaning anything. Uninforcable laws, are no laws at all.

Mate, the game is the arbiter of what is, and is not acceptable, and who will be prosecuted for that. The 'problem' is expecting players to simply not be bad people hunting the defensless because it's not very sporting or fair. Guess what? That's the game frontier built. So you can either be angry at people who are not going to care one tot, or realise if the game doesn't hold them responsible, then the game itself has failed. How system security, how response escalates and how Frontier have gone on for this long beggars belief. It's just plain bad. There are good bits to the game, but C&P is bad. It's just bad, Neil, and it doesn't matter if there are 3 not nice people, or 30, if the game does not simply know how to manage that, then that's a failing on the developer. Sure, do I, from a moral standpoint agree with Seal Clubbing? No, actually. I think, personally, that it's weak sauce. But it's weak sauce Frontier have ignored. It's weak sauce they do not want to address the imbalance, it's weak...

we have 10 ships in the game having more optional internals than an AspE - at least 8 of those can reach or exceed a pre-engineers AspE jumprange. not at all useless for exploration, we might even see more diversification of ships, which is a good thing. also gives a new role in group expedition.

The current arrangements work very well. Unfortunately, due to the actions of the UK, those arrangements are coming to a close to the benefit of absolutely nobody. If you don't see this as a problem because of the UK, created by the UK, then you're not looking objectively at it. The problem is that what is legal and legitimate from one side of the border to the other is set to change. Chlorinated chicken is just the first of many examples. Also, if goods pass through without tariff payments the UK will start to accumulate fines payable to the EU.

Yes, does mean they can use limpets to grab what they want, then leave without firing a shot (if you let them).

Along with a few bug fixes to combat, all AI is now using the updated thrust control code. Oh, and they can also fire hatch-limpets through shields (same as players). :)

Aye, question for you. Just started playing this game, and saw this video of yours:

I'm actually at this exact black hole, but I'm unable to get it to distort it as much as you. Any tips?
