Thanks everyone for dragging what could have been a funny and entertaining thread, down to the level that people seem obsessed with doing.

But if they had of said in Q3 2015 there would be 2 more franchises in the portfolio to secure the future of the company and by extension the future of Elite, you would have taken that as a trade off wouldn't you? I personally don't get the antsyness (good use of a word I've not heard in a long time by the way) anyone who thought that Frontier would only make Elite from release onwards was crazy. Certainly the communication around some of the delays haven't been great and it's certainly never been Frontier's strong point, but it is still a million times better than it was in Q3 2014! I think we've been told enough over the last few months that we would get an announcement later in the year and then when the expo was announced told it would all be then. I'm prepared to let Frontier have that one, because they've done really well with PC over the last year and JWE is going to be just as big at least and from where they were 3 years ago to now, is astonishing :) So let them save up all the goodies and...

Alec Turner replied to a thread [PROPOSAL DISCUSSION] Audio Updates Discussion in 2.4 Beta General Discussion
Absoutely. This bug has been in the main game for some time now and has been reported on numerous occasions. I had hoped it would have been fixed in the 2.4 beta but I'm guessing not.

It's quick and nimble, probably a very good choice in the bubble. Though I struggle with Vipers as being in the BRC has tainted me in so far as I can't approach a station at "normal" speed, and the Viper really isn't very good for lithobraking, which is what I predominently rely on :p

By base, do you mean surface ports as well? I honestly dread to think how many there are... But the best of luck to you and I look forward to seeing the 10x speed 5 hour epic video when you're done :D

Any "duel mode" doesn't need to be any more complicated than sending a wing invite. Player A clicks Challenge to duel. Player B clicks Accept duel. Now you can fight with no crimes being reported until you Leave wing Withdraw from duel; with the same lengthy timer that we hate when trying to switch wings but would actually be useful in this case to stop someone trolling you by withdrawing from the duel and getting crimes turned back on. The "warning! crime detected" announcement suggested by Sandro seems reasonable. You could make the announcement and grace period start when damage is first done if the missiles already in flight thing is deemed to be a problem. If players are worried about other people reporting crimes they are free to refrain from committing crimes of course. Having a visual indication of which players raises two immediate concerns. In gameplay terms, having crimes off sounds a lot like painting a target on your back and in immersion terms how would you know another ship wasn't...

Before I go slagging them off big time I've asked them to clarify whether that previous statement (the one I posted this morning) really means that they're closing my case because they reckon' it's my fault and therefore consider this breakage not to be covered by the warranty. I've also stated that I totally disagree with this conclusion and re-iterated that it broke under perfectly normal use conditions. Basically I suspect the person writing that was kinda hoping I'd just go away quietly and buy some replacement headphones. When they realise that I'm not about to be fobbed off quite so easily they may change their tune. I'm really curious to see their reply and I'll keep you posted.

Shocking, it's almost as though someone listened to one of my suggestions :D *Edit* Is this applying to all synthesis? I hope so.

Thanks! Now added. While I was in there I also noticed that all the image links "stolen" from Keybuk's installation list were broken so I've taken the liberty of re-stealing them from the new canonn.science orbital installations page so those should be fixed now.

Final results were in post #173 ... https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/368703-Buckyball-Racing-Club-Presents-Prison-Brake-(07-08-3303-13-08-3303)?p=5822584&viewfull=1#post5822584 Congratulations, you succeeeded in your expectations! But more importantly, you broke the 30min barrier in a sidey AND you competed in a Buckyball Race and therefore join the ranks of the select few and can now legitimately call yourself a Buckyball Racer. o7

OK, Oculus have just gone down MASSIVELY in my estimation ... Thank you for reaching back out. At this time accidental damage is not something that is covered under warranty. You can use 3rd party headphones as a work around or you may also purchase replacement headphones on our site. If you have any other questions or concerns please let me know and I'd be happy to help. So as far as I can tell they're saying it's my fault the headphones broke and they're not going to replace them (I have written back to confirm that's what they're actually saying). If this is true then you won't be hearing any further good words from me about the Oculus I'm afraid.

vJoy won't work on its own. You need something to drive it. FreePIE is an excellent choice. I found a script via Google and tweaked it slightly. You can change the sensitivity by increasing sensX and/or sensY, and you can modify the speed of the centring with centreX and/or centreY. Higher values would return the virtual stick to the centre quicker after you stop moving the mouse. That would be good for FA off or SRV flight. Give it a try.if starting: centreX = 0.5 centreY = 0.5 sensX = 100 sensY = 100 system.setThreadTiming(TimingTypes.HighresSystemTimer) system.threadExecutionInterval = 10 x = 0
