Sounds rather like the usual fx of 4x earth gravity. I can't boost even in a Python from takeoff there or I take 2-300 % heat. Maybe you faced an anomaly though I think FD are chuckling in there reclining seats, having put a base there. ;)

I stopped using it a few years ago and posted my last ever post as me, 'mark Zuckerberg calls Facebook users dumb s'. I've just started a new account for a business and they have gone nuts lately, insisting on phone numbers, because of 'securiy' demanding full face photos for identification. I guess/hope it's the start of the end of for them, do you think they're listening?

I understand the concern and a potential incentive for a conflict of interest regarding game development quality and the like, but I would likewise hope that Frontier understands that they can continue to attract new customers by making the highest quality game they viably can. Hyped headline features that don't mesh well with the overall theme and style of the game and that aren't more fully fleshed out to attract new customers in the short term won't do much to improve the overall quality and popularity of the game in the long term, and Elite: Dangerous does seem to be a long term project of Frontier's. They don't seem like a here today gone tomorrow company, nor one that pushing out another reskinned version of the same basic game every couple of years for people to buy all over again. But yes, like I said, I do understand the concern and the good faith investment on my part. Likewise, I wouldn't necessarily recommend others get the LEP, if given the opportunity. Ideally, a pay for expansion content...

That I did not know. But as I said, it's not something I would do on account of people like CGs and it would be a dic move.

If we are using rl, then at this point I need to start throwing insults as you are undermining my carefully nurtured anti Fed prejudice with logic. That did occur to me. But it still seems daft.

This really isn't anything new though, unfortunately. Plenty of companies do similar actions, take the "We most definitely do not store your pictures for a length of time" snapchat even before it was acquired. If facebook as a company doesn't care what people do on their platform as long as they are providing clicks or whatever measurement advertisers use to pay facebook.

Ok, I'll bite. Please explain how, as the game is currently, somebody starting from scratch can get an Anaconda in 3 - 6 hours.

Because it needs said materials more then it needs to hold a grudge? happens irl all the time? politicians insult each other, and weird things, yet big trade deals still happen, so it really doesn't seem to be 'bad', on that point you have to remember BGS represents politicians NOT the individual people that have lost families and whatnot.

Take your logic elsewhere! I would still put money on someone just selecting a location they think is still Fed and not actually keeping up to date on what is really going on in the Pleiades, regardless of their plot. It reminds me of when ALD took Beta Hydri and no-one in game batted an eyelid. I left PP for good at that point as it was clear nothing you did in it counted.

Isn't that how the Alliance gains friends and influences people Economically? They are probably getting a great fee for Federation to use PRE Logistics Support Gamma After all; as long as the Empire and the Federation squabble over the Pleiades, the Alliance has a free hand to expand into the California Nebula, uncontested.

Well, you sort of got your wish - the only way to get Moni's Hub out of lockdown is to bounty hunt for PRE bounties, so preferably in a PRE owned system, and hand them in at whichever station/system put PRE into lockdown.

I hate to tell you, WR3ND, since I know your heart was the right place, but from a purely economic perspective unfortunately by buying the LEP you've given up your right to vote with your money and shortened Elite's lifespan in the process. And that imo, is bad for everyone in the long run in part because it creates a corrupting incentive vacuum. So a vested interest can quickly become a sunk cost depending on what Frontier decides to do with your money. On the positive side, I think that investment will pay off for you personally (in the short term) because Frontier is honorable, but I also hope that they never offer the LEP again. If too big a % of the player base owned the LEP then Frontier would be working on prepaid income. That doesn't look too good on financial statements, and for a very good reason. It effectively gives Elite a shorter "going concern" lifespan (unless they manage to dramatically grow their customer base).

There is nothing in Rebecca's logs that confirms that. She said it went higher then them. Never said anything about including them. Besides, I fight for the Alliance regardless of what 'they' want, not the Federation. If I was not already very busy elsewhere, I would be UA bombing the crap out of the place. (EDIT plus that fact that I don't like people crapping on other peoples fun with dic moves).

At the same time, apples to apples; it took Eve about 13 years after launch to put in that system, I don't think there's much reason to assume Elite wouldn't have comparable features after another 11 years of development ;)

An Alliance port in an Alliance system accepting aid for the Federation? Has someone lost the plot?
  • Saool's Avatar

In the new CG aid for the Federation is being taken to PLEIADES SECTOR IH-V C2-5, an Alliance system and dropped of at PRE Logistics Support Gamma, an Outpost won off the Federation months ago and held onto through two elections since. Why on earth (or in the Pleiades) would Cooper accept one ton of materials for a rival? It make no sense. And much as I don't like talking negative of FDEV (they get a lot of that) it smacks of binary thinking in the Pleiades and is a bit of a slap in the face to all of us that spend a lot of time doing hard graft to push Cooper.

Hi Ben; I'm not much of a communicator. But, I'm privately messaging my friends. -Not going to continue on the 'Forums' for a while; They are just too toxic for me, and 'wind' me up too much...

Ive' played this 'game' enthusiastically since released and love space; - to be honest though, I'm more of a game and less of a deep 'Sim' player. -So I'll be following developments...
