    Depends how pure the iron true .. In fact how much iron is ever found without an oxidised (Fe2O3) rust layer, put there billions of years before the planetoid lost it's proto-atmosphere. Plus water's pretty common (++ electrolytes).

    You can already make it back with reboot/repair on your thrusters. Interesting idea but yeah it would, negate the AFMU unit.

    +1 Thanks. There we are then, you can find natural materials exploring to refill limpets and repair any damage you might get for not carrying infinite heat sinks. (Plus any other repairs caught on heavy landings etc. ) /end panic

    Yeah. I don't know though, if you can synth heat sinks, would you EVER equip hull repair limpets? Playing devils' advocate .. but I think that might be the thinking. You CAN synthesise limpets by look of it (don't know the blueprint for those .....)

    Late to the party but here's my 2c. I believe most of the tools that were actually used to decode the unknown sites did it by downloading all systems within a set distance of Merope and testing those. That's certainly how my tool worked. There were a couple of systems that weren't in EDDB, but they were easy to find based on the nearest EDDB system. 99% of systems were already there as this is an extremely well explored area. This is the most practical method. For a purely mathematical solution the technique you're looking for is trilateration: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trilateration You're on the right track, by the looks. This is how early mapping of the galaxy was done before the ED log included coordinates for visited systems.     Not so sure actually. I mean it's probably a glitch but if it isn't, I wouldn't mind, myself. Just another reason to double check your contact scan before opening fire given the extra bounties payable, and so on.. You do need to 'gather materials' though, not everyone's fav cup o tea with engineers and .. would you prefer to keep the mats, for an engineer (tbc) .. ??

    Wiem, że toczy się jakaś emocjonalna dyskusja na FB, ale jakiś czas temu zawiesiłem swoje konta w mediach społecznościowych, więc nie mam pojęcia, o co chodzi. Jak znam społeczność, to sugerowałbym nie wierzyć we wszystko, co tam się czyta, bo wiadomo, jaki jest internet ;) Aby rozwiać wątpliwości i wyjaśnić sytuację - nie lubię bowiem plotek: Niektórym pilotom przestały odpowiadać warunki panujące w TWH i nasza grupa przestała spełniać ich oczekiwania. Postanowili więc odejść i założyć swoją grupę. Poszło głównie o ograniczenia, które są w TWH, wynikające z sytuacji dyplomatycznej między Husarią a innymi frakcjami oraz fundamentalne założenia i kierunek rozwoju grupy. Być może są osoby, które chcą z tego zrobić wielki dramat i pojechać po naszej grupie. Myślę, że przemawiają przez nie emocje, zawiść, złość, nie wiem, pewnie jeszcze coś innego.     No, but might be up to 5,000Ls for a destination body around the primary star. Likely any ship with destination around secondary star (with IS jumps) means spooling FSD immediately on arrival .. this halves the in system traffic, unless you preclude a high wake within some exclusion distance from a star? (That would cause a prob for unarmed traders though, who often use high wake to shake an interdictor). You could double to spool time for an in-system jump I suppose but that seems illogical ("why does the FSD work twice as hard? The destination is way nearer!?") .. you could handwavium around 'it's a navigation thing' maybe but it's not really my core reason for not liking in system jumps so much. If a microjump needs the same time to initiate like a highjump, so what is the difference to the actuall gameplay in terms of highwake and piracy? None apart from a high wake to a different system disrupts a trader. A <medium wake> to secondary star speeds the trade route up. It's on your planned route...

    You have to sight, target, scan and then get in behind to interdict and very often it takes way more than 1000Ls to catch your target. In fact usually it's only when they start decellerating .. getting near their desti .. that you make ground on them. I'm not into microjumps because you do have choice and I prefer having more to do during travel time than contracting time. It's the only time when I read Galnet (or read up on the Powers) on the fairly rare occasions I do get a mission change to a second star station. Local ones I know and probably avoid (though I do still get a kick from 'ridiculous speed' and deep space remoteness, even after a couple of years' playing). Star to Star jumps would totally sterilise the game galaxy. Sounds good on paper but would make every single Star System identical to the next. Though Lagrange might have legs, even they might sterilise too (or won't really change anything, LG Points between distant stars are still, further away?).

  9. Missed your post as I was away from Ed and the forums for a few days. Thanks for your kind words. Good to see that I'm not the only one with 'frustation'. Thanks for your trade routes, I will try them, if/when I have the money for them as they are quite expensive iirc. As I said in the OP or later on I'm using slopey's trade tool atm but even that doesn't get me going. Luckily next week on the 24th PB2 will be released with a 3 systems. I guess the market will flatten quit quickly again after that so I MUST play it directly on that evening.

    I will start this evening again if I can manage it. I will keep you informed. Thanks for the offer of flying with me in the future. Would be nice. But for that to happen 'communication' must be in the game first. I think comm. will change ED quit a bit.

    I just wanted to say thanks for posting your 'frustration' message on the forums. Your comments and the following replies have helped me a lot to stay calm and think clearly. I'm also PB-frustrated as an 80's speccy Elite player :-)
    I've been grinding on the Chango-Dahan route, making a relatively safe 343 profit per unit for trading Tantalum from Dahan to Chango and then with Domestic Appliances from Chango to Dahan for 79 unit profit. Not great, but good for docking training!
    Please let me know if you have any success gaining monies from the comments in that forum thread or elsewhere. I'd be very happy to fly with you into a scuffle in the future - but need to get a stick and brush up on my dogfighting skills first!
