At the core, I see this as an orchestrated, larger-scale (Instancing RNG & Limitations) PvP event. Nothing more. MultiPew gots its special part in it with the "Support Salomé" and "Fight against Salomé" entry - one which will leave Players not up-to-date on Frontier Forum details behind absolutely clueless. If there was any "truth" to be told, the Player character could simply arrange a secret meeting with CoA and be done with it. Heck, she could Teleprompt into any random Ship of some Explorer who's "Looking for Crew -> Exploration" and start chatting right away... Hence, it's all Smoke & Mirrors. At the end of the day, it's just another PvP Arena. Arguably, with the run-in and overall setting, potentially one of the better quality PvP Events for what it's worth.

Odd... Weren't those 0 Cr Payouts (with the insulting 0 Cr 1st Discovery Bonuses) fixed acc. to the V2.3 Patchnotes ?!

Well... We don't call it "MultiPew" for no reason ;) As usual, only the Combat-side of things got most of the attention - while everything else was left poorly or not-at-all implemented. All the common-sense and "nobrainer" details of MultiCrew are either severely lacking or downright AWOL. And that's not even going into the NPC role side of things, which should have enabled a far deeper utilization of NPC "Crews" as actual assets outside of Combat. Oh, again... those were Combat-only. The old issue of "everything is PewPew". 400 Billion Systems. Infinite Freedom! (...and all they can come up with is shoot things in ever-varying flavours and ways... like... seriously ??!)

To me, the Wave Scanner Video/Audio seems the same for all areas of Volcanism I've visited in an SRV. Individual differences AFAIK come from Minerals in proximity that you can Shoot (i.e. Pebbles, Cystal Clusters or Spike Crystals) that throw their individual Signature into the big mix. What the Wave Scanner displays at any given time near or even inside these Fields often seems a tad random, as there easily can be far more signals than the Wave Scanner can actually process/display it seems (think I've read that the limit is.. 16 signals?). I've checked numerous "large splash-crater center 20km POIs" and it seems every single one has those indeed. If 2 large-enough splash craters are within each other, I've also seen both having one. Either way, each time I got within 5km of that big (but uninteresting) Mineral Rock, the 20km POI did its shrinking. Also, after shooting the Rock open and climbing back up, the now-tiny POI remained and was persistent. Just odd... huge, 20km POIs for what's definitely...

True... "The Encyclopedia Galactica". An Information Collection that initially holds only the most basic Data (Pilots Federation Starter Kit) but grows with every single piece of Information a CMDR encounters or unlocks over time -which is kept in the Personal Database. Many other Games have it and it works just nicely as the Player slowly builds up that personal stash of Information and Data. For example Including how, where and under which circumstances it was discovered. So you randomly encounter a USS and got Proprietary Composites for the 1st time? Find out a long time later you now need that but don't have any left? Suddenly you can review precisely where/how you got it previously. Old Logfiles? Data Bursts? Encrypted Messages? Tourist Beacon Infos? All there, ready for review later at anytime. Plus... GALnet could act as a trigger to add a "lead-in" and provide an incentive a) to actually browse Galnet in the 1st place and b) now give the Player a lead onto something possibly interesting.
