This ----> For me, I do most of my bounty hunting less for massive money, more for fun in Imperial Eagle. Can take out Clippers, though probably need an RTB for repairs and reload after one of those. I tend to patrol in supercruise dropping in on any and all USS or distress calls with a threat level over 1 while scanning ships passing through and interdicting the wanted ones. RES is a bit too much like farming for me though I do enjoy Combat Zones in the same ship (hair raising but low rebuy if the worst does happen). It's not max profitable maybe but worth trying out imo, as getting into station with only seconds of life support remaining is a hoot and assist vouchers on a few Corvettes, even better. Purely incidental but my iEagle has no jump range, whatsoever. Good luck!

Did you know? In German the town hall is called a RatHaus : A Rat House!

I-War was much better than ED, but the creme-de-la-creme for me is the Elite 2 & 3 flight model, updated with the kinds of refinements Pioneer has added. Andy J has also recently updated FFED3D to support full HOTAS control (twist yaw, manual throttle etc.). Said it before and i'll keep saying it - the ability to take full control over the reference frame handling would endow the previous game's handling with all the benefits of ED's dumbed-down pew-pew model. Selectable FoR's, and especially virtual ones (such as selecting your current vector as a temporary FoR), would confer all the benefits of ED's "blue zone" handling envelope, with none of its pitiful restrictions. As for your point re. the fact that ED's FA-off disables angular damping instead of just linear... it's basically the exact opposite of how it worked in the previous games! In Elite 2 & 3, FA-off disabled linear damping, but angular damping was still applied. Infinitely more practical, sensible and useful... But you're right -...

Yes, the core-game must be improved, but at the same time, they should also work towards adding initial (basic) versions of EVA and Atmospheric landings. These things can be paid major updates during season 3.

It is possible for Elite Dangerous and the community to grow and thrive for another 5 to 10 years. This is ONLY possible if Frontier adds Space Legs (EVA), Atmospheric Landings and sandbox features to improve the core-game (in-game socialization, emergent gameplay, player groups such as guilds). Without deeper sandbox and social tools the community will stagnate. People will complain or stop playing due to a lack of depth. Space Legs is a new level of immersion and promised during the Kickstarter. It is like putting a game within a game, but absolutely necessary to attract new people to buy ED. These are gamers who play first-person shooters and survival games. Most of them haven't yet gotten into Elite Dangerous due to the lack of EVA. Atmospheric landings is also a kickstarter promise. These are massive additions to the game, so Frontier should add it gradually with several major updates. Many people will buy EVA and Atmospheric Landings for sure. Many people pledged and bought the game solely...

Admit it Frontier, you're really just trying out a new minigame concept and we're the lab rats ;)

Respected former Irish ambassador calls for ĎIrexití from Europe Dr. Ray Bassett, who most recently served as Irelandís ambassador to Canada, argues that Ireland is taking far too docile and conciliatory an approach in allowing EU leadership in Brussels to assume that Ireland will remain a part of the EU no matter what. "The present instruction is that, at all costs, no indication can be given by our officials that our continued membership of the EU is in any doubt, regardless of the outcome of negotiations on Brexit. The policy is very much at odds with our national interest and in effect, no Irish government can give that assurance,Ē he said, according to the Belfast Telegraph. "In the end, membership of the EU is a matter for the people of Ireland. If the terms offered to Ireland after Brexit mean we simply cannot live with them, then clearly our membership of the EU will be up for grabs." He added that ďwe certainly hope we can continue as an active and supportive member of the EU, but we...

I agree the travel equation is complicated because gravities affect acceleration. Gravity wells (planets) also move in the game, so even the route to the same station changes over time. Essentially it is a good idea to get out of the shipping lane, away from the orbital plane, not only because higher acceleration .. but fewer interdictions too. I probably wouldn't have a home base beyond 1,000Ls from the jump point (because you might fly that route a lot) but I haven't timed the flight either, mostly because I'm not sure flight time always counts as dead-time. Depends what you're hauling of course but I've been flying quite a few illegal passengers lately, so tend to spend the flight getting ready to run the gauntlet of station security, as well as flying what I feel is the optimum route. At the end of the day (if this seems like a game design flaw or something), it aint .. the galaxy is what you'd call BIG .. and any speed you get to above 1 x the speed of light is really a bonus. There has at times...

Yeah. Nice things to have are better got, with a good attitude towards the devs and game than a bad one. True, all NPCs must die .. but Frontier aren't NPCs and there's a lot more in play, real world. My 2c.

One of the problems with micro-adjustments in games is that a set of 'best mods' quickly emerge, at which point everyone does those and the effort and risk of making complex tweaking possible is wasted. This was the case in Hawken, and they reverted it back to a simpler system.

NGC 7822 gets pretty dark. When in there, you can't really see anything that's outside the nebula.

If I remember correctly, planetary base missions (e.g. scanning) in which you had to overcome the skimmers guarding it before going on with your data scanner, could be done by first destroying all the skimmers there from your ship - I think at the time, skimmers could be targetted by the ship as well. After a bunch of forum screaming about 'exploits!', and Frontier having a desire for these missions to be completed only via their shiny new SRV content, Frontier changed the mechanics to what we have today. The mechanics are fine - the problem is this bug whereby skimmers spawn at altitude and fall down to the ground. Why a hotfix patch for this hasn't been issued already, only Frontier knows. My guess is that rather than the extra work involved in producing and rolling out a hotfix, they'd rather spend the money on including the fix with the future 2.4 release, and damned be the players, and let's just soak up the forum screaming for now until 2.4 drops.

Can anyone tell me what the German translation of Right On Commander was in the earlier games? Until then, I think some kind of Deutsch Heute german level of salutation would work well in its place. "EINFACH KLASSE, COMMANDANT" PS I'm going to try to make it to the meeting.

If they added some material exchange and storage system for players that would make it less of a dull grind.
