^this And that's pretty much the gist of it. At a minimum, the fact that he knew - years ago - that what he promised was neither possible, nor feasible - yet continued to promote it and raise funds while doing so, makes it a scam. There is absolutely no getting around that - at all. They could me or anyone today for that, and they would lose (and open a can of worms) right off the bat if we can show just one single (there a numerous, all cataloged) instance of this. His undoing is going to come from the many people who have worked on this project, and who - as they have done in the past - can/will attest to this notion. Then it's all over. There is simply no speculation here about whether or not they knowingly perpetrated a scam. The State & Fed officials have gone after, and shutdown other corps and individuals for less. All it takes is the digging. And that digging will come when this project inevitably fails to deliver on promises because that's when everything will hit the fan. There is just...

I'm jealous of Saud Kruger. Flew Beluga in beta, a bit lush. On the look out for a Dolphin but will pick one up when I happen across. No rush, no worries and Keelback then gets relegated, to refugee type blue collar passengers (if not sold). Got myself into a cash flow problem when I first got into Python myself. Found it tough to earn more than (erm) 'costs' at first. Stabilised now, do intend to get another Asp Scout (which I had to sell) but that one was dedicated to extreme sports (SRV mountain climbing and base jumping challenges) and good for a taxi, to remote systems eg. to where my pirate loadout, DBE is .. ie. far enough away not to bother my local rep (I can be there in about five minutes). ps. the "]monolith

If you've got yourself a Python OP .. then you're sorted; buy an Eagle. Cause havoc in Eagle for ten minutes to an hour play time and literally ONE cargo delivery mission in Python will refund you about ten Eagle rebuys. Go wild with no consequences (apart from rep obviously, though there are ways around that too). Biggest mistake people make in ED imo is assuming you have to have a big ship, that you MUST treat it like a career, when small ships rule and are the acid test for a good pilot.

Nobody knew about this until I paid investigators to dig up the information for my blog. The entire corporate list is here. And during that time, even the toxic backers were denying that RSI was even a company. You can go right now on the old RSI forums or Reddit, and dig up those discussions. Then in the current (June 2016) ToS, as I wrote here at the time, they changed their ToS to reflect different entities in what can only be an attempt to shift liability from one entity to another (a shell corp). - - - Updated - - -

He's right. They are struggling to handle even 10 people in an *instance*; and all of a sudden they are going to be able to handle individual loosely placed objects - as he described - all of which have to be synced between client and server, in real-time, complete with collision detect etc? Are you serious right now? Do you know anything about how physics in games work - at all? And instead of offering an opposing view, you attack his nomenclature? He is 100% right to refer to it as "netcode". It's the short form for "networking code". Some of us actually do this sort of work for a living. Bonus: Please explain how he is confusing hardware and software in what he said. I'll wait.

I fully agree with that Sandro - I'm completely against any 'fading' of engineering mods as has been proposed by some before on the forums. Like you I do see an inkling of why someone might wish to propose such a thing, but as you say, the amount of time and effort put into 'questing' for such modifications, if they were tofade away or degrade over time, I'd be rather upset. I'd like to see more 'survival' mechanics in the game. Especially when out exploring thousands of LY from the nearest station. I want to be a Mark Watney, having to 'science the poo' out of stuff in order to keep my ship healthy. But it needs to be something like having to land on a planet to obtain the metals necessary to repair ship's Hull, for example. That kind of thing. Which needs a 'ship hull repair' mechanic added. Being able to repair ship integrity would be a similar mechanic. Need to be stationary, have the materials, uses some kind of ship integrity limpet or something. You get the idea. Hopefully and eventually,...

This isn't a criticism and isn't meant to be; so this event is basically looking like a PvP-fest without a CG? Is that the basic long and short of it?

iEagle ! (For some reason I don't get on well with Vipers) I use mine as an interceptor, with virtually zero jump range and bounty hunt locally, interdicting, going into CZ's and it's a total blast. Of course you have to watch it with keeping rebuy money in the bank but it's such a fun little ship, fast and with the medium hardpoint (and two small ones) a fair upgrade from standard Eagle. I run a medium beam and a pair of heat seeker missile racks which are really satisfying to use. Welcome back Cmdr o7

This was my very first PvP encounter and was written in Jan 2015 and predates missile nerf wings so they got in there via old school methods. From recollection it was very early CODE chaps. Some of which I've probably flown with a couple of times (Maj etc) since. I've still got the Asp :)

Did you know : Humour is so difficult to translate, that common advice given trainee translators is for instance when Barak Obama made a joke, the translator may not even try to translate but will say to President Xi (Jinping, China) .. "Mr Obama just said something funny, please laugh". Yup. It's another true story!

Back on topic mind, booted up 2.3.01 on my ridiculous underspec lappy this morning and found a much smoother flight and massively improved experience from 2.3. Finding NPC crew images not loading in crew lounge (will monitor) and a minor audio bug in Commodities, with missing sound effect on tons being added to sell/buy (with hold mouse). Haven't gotten through everything yet but at 2.3 I thought I might have to put ED down for good. Nope, it still runs! (which is still amazing to me).

Exactly, its clearly a badly written plant that has been injected into the ships logs to attempt to cover up the real reasons for the ships demise, SPACE MONKEYS!

For those claiming offense at the 'salt' comment in the patchlogs... This is humour. There is no malice contained in the humour. It was not placed there as some kind of snide remark. It was not placed there to cause offence. If you've ever read The Martian, or watched the film, this is the kind of humour Mark Watney would come out with. It's a flippant joke hidden amongst the serious business of the patch notes. That's it. Those who get it will snort coffee out their noses and laugh. If you didn't get the humour, then don't worry about it. You just have a different sense of humour, that's all. If you actually got offended? There's simply no hope for you ;)

So many problems... What are your PC's specifications? RAM, CPU, Graphics card etc. What kind of FPS are you getting when running the game? (ctrl-F toggles the FPS display) Are you using the default game graphical settings, or have you changed them in any way? Anyway, the above are good questions to be getting started. It'd be great to know the answers, and might even help you solve a lot of your listed problems.

I had to laugh at this because, as a teenager I once attended a british Royal Navy engineering recruitment day - showed us a joystick on a console that was related to firing some sort of missile, and they guy said: So this is where you find out that being in the Navy is just like playing computer games all day long ;).

This is a really interesing point. Though I can see why you might want engineered scanners on a fighter, it's good for explorers (and miners) too, so would think either the blueprint needs to be available at Farseer too, or only, or different types of upgrade blueprints across engineer bases, depending on what it's likely wanted for. An explorer's scanner could eat power or have really low integrity and so on ... Python into a CZ though Cmdr?? An armed trader, mining vessel, handy in a USS but CZ .. just no? The canopy is really exposed and the rebuy, high. Suggest Imperial Eagle, on sorties into CZ's and you'll have way more fun; one single trade delivery mission in Python, funds about ten Eagle rebuys.

Isn't the trick to it to get out of gun range (4km) and wait for the Feds to arrive? They do arrive in a high security system (don't in an Anarchy) but does take them some time to get to you. Would it not be really weird if wherever and whenever you got interdicted, there's ALWAYS a bunch of security ships, sitting there waiting, just to save your sorry backside? Improvements to C&P (ppl suggest a lot) could really wreck ED's dangerousness if not handled with care imo, even a single solar system is a big place? (+ I swear sometimes, it's not a world of men).

Sympathies to the OP though I can't help thinking, your stream stays more hardcore and more interesting, if you stay in the wild wild west of open play? Yes rebuys happen but an NPC can do that to you too and I'd be more interested to watch a streamer who, if you like deliberately put themselves in harm's way. If you're flying an Eagle you've got every justification to be wary of hollow square blips on radar, so cat and mouse evasion is something to talk about (or hairy fly-by's, to show your viewers a griefer's paintjob before getting the heck out of there, a game of chicken) sounds to me more entertaining than a PvE stream. Riskier, but there's the rub. Good luck anyway whatever you decide.
