    The multicannon one reached the equivelant of tier 4 (it reached something like tier 6 or 7, but they had more tiers than there were rewards for some reason so it just unlocked refinery ports along with military/high tech/Industrial). The most recent one bombed (only reached tier 2) because the targets were the same as previous CG's, but the station was an outpost, so team Cutter couldn't swoop in and drop the usual big cargo dumps. We have Xeno scanners to get readouts of Thargoid module placement We have missiles for the hull (too effective against hearts so nerfed) We have multicannons for the hearts We have flak cannons for the Thargons We have the shutdown pulse defense

    I admit not since 2.4, but before that the wakes could be scanned but you couldn't follow them.

    Previous CG's have only been station economy class in the order of Military, High Tech, Industrial, Refinery. Last 3 CG's have made tier 3, the multicannon one made tier 4. So you can get everything so far at Alcazar's Hope, and multicannons only at Darnielle's Progress.

    Should be high tech bases too given it made tier 2. HIP 17692 has a high tech planetary base with outfitting in the Pleiades. Going to park there given the CG rewards always come out while I'm sleeping :) Edit: There's even a shipyard. 1.2G, but that's not too harsh.

    After further research, the total encounters and cyclops variant stats increment by 1 only when you're hyperdicted.

    When they hyperdict you, yes....but I haven't seen that behaviour in a NHSS before. A Thargoid chased me down from 18km away today after my ship launched fighter died.

    After scanning a datapoint at my most recent visit to the large wreckage site to get stuff for Palin, I now have 1 Thargoid Imprint.

    I've encountered quite a lot of Thargoids. My encounters tab only shows 7 total encounters and 7 cyclops variants seen. I have no Thargoid Imprints. Today I've encountered at least one Thargoid, but it hasn't updated my stats and the last time encountered is still yesterday. Now I've scanned and fought way more than 7 Thargoids. Been scanned by way more than 7 too. My personal theory is that the stats show how many distinct logograms you've encountered. Not sure what imprints are but it's interesting that I have none. I've done several missions for Palin since 2.4 launched, but I've only been to the one large wreckage site repeatedly for that, and I may have scanned the data points before 2.4. During beta I had one imprint, and visited a wreckage site there to contribute to the beta decal CG. Anyone know more about these stats?

    I did that once. Thargoid didn't behave differently (scanned me, eventually turned red and attacked), though I did have more relics and a Thargoid Probe still in my hold so that would most likely have not helped my cause.

    If the trigger point is Thargoids killed, it'll take us a little while to hit it. They really are quite difficult to kill for all but the very best pilots. Even groups require a high level of coordination to succeed.

    It's pretty clear that the missiles just turned out to be more effective than they were expecting and would have rendered the multicannons useless. Thargoids adapting is a fine excuse for the nerf, though I'd expect it's unlikely to be repeated for other weapons unless they too turn out far more powerful than intended. People are going a bit over the top complaining about the inconsistencies when really they're just still sour about the missile nerf.

    Fixed weapons can't be affected by countermeasures, and Aegis are rushing out weapons that will work for as many people as possible, hence everything fits medium hardpoints. This may count as artificially limiting things, but on the other hand it's quite plausible. You just know when we get gimbals finally the Thargoids are going to figure out chaff. Hell...those suckers are constantly puffing out clouds of green stuff that don't seem to do anything if you watch them closely during a fight.
