    If you can do a 15 mill an hour trade route you have a ship well suited to trade. Only 8 million CR for 108 kills in CZ is unusual (most of these missions are Deadly/Elite and pay 15-25 mil), and if it takes three hours to shoot down or tag 108 ships, your ship is not particularly suited to conflict zones.

    Because it's not an offline game and needs connection to Frontier's authentication, adjudication, transaction, matchmaking, and chat servers. Anything that touches the BGS (influence/reputation, commodities, exploration, etc) has to go through Frontier's servers. Missions come from Frontier's servers. Your online status is updated for your friends to see and vice versa. The only difference between the modes is that some or all CMDRs are barred from instancing with you.

    Buy a Keelback. If you have the basics of exploration and planetary landing down, this inexpensive vessel will do essentially everything you seem to feel you need an Anaconda for. It's even better in some very relevant areas (turning in SC and being able to land in tight areas on planet surfaces).

    Stations don't fire at ships just for being wanted, they normally don't even rescind docking permissions. They probably should, but they don't, and getting scanned while wanted usually just means a couple of security red shirts shoot you in the back as you land.

    I was just at Eravate and the place spawned about twenty High Grade Emissions in 45 minutes. Restocked my Core Dynamics Composites so I can throw some more rolls at the PPs of my FDL and Vulture. Was only attacked twice, and only by single CMDRs. Pretty sure one was SDC and pretty sure the second guy thought I was SDC.

    I just want a real economy with a semblance of real economic forces at play. A population model would probably be required first, though. If my 'chosen activity' isn't profitable, I should probably have to choose something else, if I want to make a profit doing it...unless I can engineer some sort of increased demand.

    I never implied otherwise. Indeed, I'd probably use one if I were using the keyboard+mouse, as I don't have three hands and I'd not want to move my left hand away from the throttle/thruster controls, nor could I take my right hand off the mouse every other second to adjust pips. However, I consider such macros purely a waste of buttons on a HOTAS, since I can maintain full control of all movement axes and have the pip controls under my thumb without needing to move my hands.

    Last time I reported it was when they still took bug reports on the support site. Might be time for a new bug report thread, feel free to make one. You can include this example as well: https://youtu.be/NBmhBffwo2Q?t=48 You can tell he's firing cause his target indicator on sensors is flashing and I'm taking damage at various points, but I can only actually see his rails, not his other weapons.

    Yes, I realize macro keys can be separate from the four standard pip control keys and they can coexist. I'm saying I don't think the macro speeds things up enough to matter, certainly not in that video. All of the improper pip positioning would be due to mistiming or misselecting the correct input, not the minuscule additional delay, if any, needed to manually reset and press over twice (or over twice, up once, over once).

    The issue with the missing bloom/flare effect on PAs was fixed. However, there is an entirely different bug that has been around forever where some weapon fire from other CMDRs can be invisible.

    This is only marginally faster than what's possible manually and leaves one with less granular control over pips. If I were only switching between the three positions shown, I'd see no benefit from macros in that fight using that ship. It's three to five inputs to achieve any setting shown, which can be done with a thumb in half a second. I'm not even convinced the CMDR in this video is seeing significant advantage from the macro.

    That is exactly what is wrong ;) The game should hit you with setbacks, losses on some endeavours, and possible backwards progression. Not just by losing ships, but also by sour trade markets and economic depressions. Always being a win is just so meh!

    Atmospheric landings would be a natural and consistent expansion to the current game. Space legs would be an artificial bolt-on attempt to fundamentally change the nature of the game to something more common and ordinary. (like PP, Arena and MultiCrew) Let me think....

    Elite has an abundance of content (a whole 1:1 scale procedurally generated galaxy). I would like to see improvements to how players interact with the content, better immersion, more consistency with existing lore, less ridiculous concepts like telepresence. So basically making players access to existing content less fluffy.

    Where your NPC crew are is unclear. They are conveniently present in every crew lounge in the galaxy, so that must be by telepresence. But you have to take them with you if you want them active, suggesting that they cannot in fact operate by telepresence. Go figure.

    You can do this yourself. If you are stimulated by the idea of searching a system for something based on a vague hint, that may or not be actual, and have fun while doing it - keep looking! If the search activity adds nothing to your gaming experience, and you will be frustrated if you find out there was nothing to search for - don't bother! Exploration by wild goose chase has happened many times in real life, and FDev have said several times that there are undiscovered features inserted into the Elite galaxy waiting to be found. It's up to you.

    Engineering is, as it stands, the only game activity that you cannot progress in just by using credits. You actually have to gain access to the Engineers, and personally collect the materials used for the blueprint. IMO, its a good feature, as CR have become so devalued in the game, that having things that can just be bought is meh. Pre-Engineered modules would bypass the process and reduce Engineering to the same level as the rest of the game.
