So I haven't played elite in like a month, I had a decent amount of money (around 700 mil) and then the nerfs came along so I really didn't wanted to make credits anymore and MC was cool and all but I like to fly my ship so eventually I ran out of things to do. Now after a month my time has been sucked up by GTA, Forza and Overwatch so I really haven't kept up with the latest news. So I'm coming back now although still nothing to do, although I feel the void calling me, thinking about going beyond Sag A maybe visiting Jaques for my achievement (Which they added after I went there). I want to try something different so I'm not all that convinced into taking an anaconda although I don't think I can keep my sanity for anything else :P the orca seems attractive, has a nice view, it's fast and it has a "Good enough" jump range plus it looks neat on screenshots and I'm thinking into keeping up with DRX although don't really know how to do that. What do you commanders think? Any suggestions? Anything...

That's not entirely fair. There are plenty of people who seem to hate this game who resort to personal attacks in these forums as well. It's not a problem of "which side your on" it's an individual issue. Some people go on personal attacks ... regardless of which "side they are on". Though I have to wonder why people who hate this game so much fell the need to spend so much energy attacking it and the people who are still enraptured by it. I bought this game three years ago, play it almost every day, and even though it isn't perfect and I've spent way too much on the game then I'd care to admit this is still the number one dollar per hour investment in entertainment that I've made in my 47 years on this planet.

This has been debated before and Frontier have explained it is a UTC clock i.e. Universal time. The time in ohhh let's say Japan or the West coast of the USA doesn't really have much bearing when you're circling a station at Colonia or Vequess. Everyone's in-game clock is the same and it's not going to change anytime soon. As mentioned before if it annoys you there is an option to turn it off.

I ain't no bubbler :) I've been running Rares out to Colonia for months. This month just found me sitting idle waiting for the delayed results of the April migration CG. Meanwhile I reset a 2nd account and flew that one in a Sidewinder to Jaques Station as part of the Colonia Outlander Challenge. I ain't no bubbler ... but until Colonia starts seeing more CGs that actually take place around EOL PROU I'd like to see them last longer then the ones in the Bubble ... especially when so many of us are still stuck running this 22,000ly rares loop.

I agree on the monetary rewards. I couldn't think of a logical explanation for who would fund the whole thing, having no cash payout seems fair. Oh yeah Jaques knows something for sure, too many of the same crazy stuff coming out of him and Halsey. Both had similar accidents and spoke of curious sights and sounds.

I have suspected for some time now that Raxxla is a planet with the physical access point for the Guardians monolith network, or the virtual plane of the monolith network itself. This network had things like virtual theatres and workspaces, libraries and all manner of things. The Guardian race was able to access it through neural implants, some humans in the galaxy have neural implants that may be similar. In the past maybe the only access point was at this physical location, but nowadays some people discovered a way to access Raxxla like the Guardians did, like just browsing the virtual internet in your mind. If Guardian AI has advanced enough for sentience (a major issue in the downfall of the Guardian as a species) there is nothing to say it couldn't adapt to communicate to humans via a similar method of technological telepathy that the Guardians used. Or take control completely of a host. Too many possibilities to say. AI was a huge part of the Guardians civilization at one point though, and I...

This could be exploited by pirates. I agree with the general premise, however. I'd like to have an option to "emancipate" slaves as well.

Oh ... and you do know the story of the Federation Coffee Machines, don't you? The Federation Admiralty tasked a committee with developing a new military-issue coffee maker to deploy to the troops. As with any military project in the hands of group-think there was a gradual feature-creep that eventually led to the development of the Federal Dropship. Folgers Coffee. Good to the last Dropship. :)

What if the fire breaks out while you are docked at a starport? Can't vent the O2 when you are surrounded by a human-breathable atmosphere. Plus we're getting planetary landings soon so that's another opportunity for a blaze to break out that can't be vented to the vacuum.

Well ... I'm still holding on to my theory that Jaques is the one behind the whole Exodus/Dynasty thing. His initial appearance in Elite: Dangerous was in GalNet where it was stated that he's been missing for "several years". We're eventually told that he'd been wandering the Galaxy for 40 years. Where was he during all this time? Jaques can also, with a flip of a logic circuit, flip his emotions off and on. Who better to make a dispassionate and totally logical decision to sacrifice a few lives in order to secure the salvation of an entire species?

The names were determined by their original source - in this case LFT for the primary star with Gliese for the companion. You can get this with older catalogues, especially Hipparcos and HR. Michael

It would make difference - as it should have done from the outset - in lore the Pilots' Federation is meant to disapprove of conflict between members. .... because Frontier provide NPCs as content and control their behaviours. Frontier neither provide nor control players or their behaviours - and the behaviours of some can (and, I would suggest have, given that Frontier would seem to have been considering adding increased consequences for some player behaviours for over a year now) be detrimental to the health of the game. Then it could be made consistent - all Factions / Powers / Superpowers could impose consequences for any member attacking another member (ally / pledged / high ranked in the military) of the same organisation.

You're doing it wrong. Elite: Dangerous is a simulation. In the real world you never pick a fight that you can't win. In general I'm an explorer. A member of the Earth Expeditionary Fleet. Our ethos is NEVER to initiate conflict with another person if we are outside of a 1,000 ly sphere around Sol. If I am INSIDE that sphere and bounty hunting and you show up on my HUD as Wanted and I think I can take you ... you're fair game. If you are in a conflict zone and pledged to the other side ... you're fair game. Not wanted? Not fighting for the enemy? I'll treat you as a friend until you act differently.

Whether a potential karma system is or is not part of the C&P system shouldn't make much difference to the outcome - the bottom line would seem to be that players would face greater consequences for engaging in some behaviours against other players. It doesn't - although I would expect that not all shadowbans would be permanent. Regarding longer term effects, that's where a karma system would come in - if a player has ever engaged in behaviours considered by Frontier to be detrimental to the game then that fact could exist on their account record, which could lead to a swifter descent into the significant consequences zone on repetition.

Isn't it obvious? It's all about me :) I won't be there until Wednesday and the CG will be over on Thursday. Extending it would benefit me, myself and I. Don't take it too seriously ;)

It does not necessarily mean that they would either. Indeed - and we have both Solo and Private Groups for players to select how many players they play among (taking into account the fact that every player experiences and affects the single shared galaxy state, of course), as well as Open, of course.
