Just read the newsletter- "Aegis intends to establish more than twenty orbital outposts in the coming months, to support its ongoing research and defence initiative". Methinks winter is going to get quite hot!

Don't know, wasn't looking :D but seriously, some people have reported graphics bugs with INRA bases and the goid scout ship not appearing in their instance so you might have experienced similar.

Me too. I hypothesised that the Cobra shot down the goid & would have followed it down to confirm kill, but being itself damaged didn't manage to pull out of the dive & crashed nearby. I spent Friday afternoon doing a visual search along the bearing of the goid wreck (there's some tall mountians very close by that could be fruitful) but no results, however if you blink at the wrong moment you might miss it. We really need better ship sensors, if they can detect cargo canisters and old wrecks by blue poi circles from above 2km altitude they most definitely should be able to detect these types of wreck! I quite like doing a visual search, the detail of the views astounds me (especially since I treated myself to a 4k monitor last week), but I don't want to spend my whole gametime doing so.

Evidence is always welcome! Sounds interesting if there's new damage type involved. ...insider trading? :D

I thought that a search shell for LPs might be much smaller, with a lot fewer systems than your Equinox shell, but seeing the slow rate it scrolls down on my ipad screen I'm not sure. Will check later on the PC Edit: 8443 systems? Well, I think Achenar could be immediately ruled out as any LP would have been immediately found. It's still a helluva long list! Want to add another column for "searched" & make it editable so we can contribute? Edit2: Interesting, just checked my EDD history & I was in Jotunheim on 6th September. I would have checked out an LP, so I wonder if it was just added with 2.4 (26 September)

It has gone very quiet! Obviously a galactic shortage if tinfoil!

The clue to Sarasvati was supposed to come from an LP (edit, at Jotunheim 7A). There should be more LPs pointing to the other Equinox/Thunderchild units, and those LPs will be nearer to Sol in a smaller volume to search. How about listing the systems within a shell (say 20 ly thick) the same radius as that LP? The shell thickness could be rduced if too many systems produced, or vice versa.

Easy done. Cant recall the number of times I've failed to take a screenshot or video of something interesting in the heat of the moment. Now I find the video of two INRA bases logs has no recorded audio & I deleted them, bah, humbug!!

Either curious youngsters, or intelligent nerds wanting to communicate. Did you get screenshots of their markings? Detail is required for analysis.

Looks like there is at least one more Thunderchild unit to find, probably several. Perhaps they'll provide the archive. ModishNouns provided a list of likely search systems-only about 1330 of them. Someone put them into a Google sheet document to mark search progress, but when I looked only one had been searched.

Well, if you're sure it was previously scanned with ADS (not intermediate scanner) then sounds like FD have added 4 new planets which seems suspicious-definitely worth checking out!

Well, take some out to the Pleaides, drop it in front of a thargoid, & see how the goid reacts! ;)

Have you tried Rasalas' Used Ship Emporium on Mu Leonis? Family business, see my cousin the proprietor cut me own throat dibbler swindle is me middle name Sharp Harry, I'm sure he could do you a deal on some old garbage pre-used but still reliable stock (only 3 Billion Light Years on the clock guv, honest). Otherwise Mic Turner might have one, or there just might be some salvageable bits that you could rebuild floating around in Col70 (once the goids have vacated it). :D

So my MA experiment has ended. My last task was "drop 50 units MA at a threat 5 NHSS. Started out very benign, dropped one and backed away. All was quiet. Then dropped the other 49 units. A second interceptor drops on and pulses (unexpected, but no problem). They finish up tractoring the MA and then suddenly the go aggro. I was about 2km away at this point and then the swarm volleys off a bunch of fire on me. I have been very consistent with my non-combative stance, so no weps and shields down prior to dropping in. Turn and burn, Conda's hull got to 60% before LW. Dropped out, shield up, ate a dozen repair drones, and headed back to Caelottixa for an equipment change. Going to tank up now. Fortunately for me, I got away only scratched; unfortunately for them, I have taken their betrayal of my goodwill as an insult. They just p-d off the wronnnng CMDR.
