    I'd argue there is something wrong if there would be NO traffic. we are all used to some background noise; what we are not used to is that background noise hurting our controlling factions that much ;-) if i see 20 ships in the traffic report in some system "we" are controlling since a long time, and i can assume, probably only 5-6 of "ours", as "we" don't work the system, i can also assume that maybe 5 to 10 of them cashed in some superpower bounties which they gained on the way. maybe the same number, but probablly a lower number of "our" bounties. pre 2.3. lt would have gone to "us". now, depending on the number of superpower aligned minor factions, "we" need to counter 10-40 bounty redeems... the same goes for working a system. "we" had around 400 bounty redeems yesterday in the system "we" plan to expand from next. I assume that 30-50% are superpower bounties, which means, as there are two superpower aligned minor factions in system, if all the other are "ours" (unlikely), "we" will still loose...

    lhs 28 is already li yong rui space :-), but your plan sounds solid. I'd suggest starting with a standard RES for a few runs, proceed with a high res, and and once that is too easy, nip into a haz res. systems listed all have all "levels" of RES.

    carefully outfitted an exploration anaconda. did a goodby run in a res with a combat ship. when switching to the conda pressing "sell ship" instead of "switch to ship".

    it works on the module, not the ship. so you can transfer the engineered modul. for exampel i have engineered a bunch of class 5 fsd (python, asmpE, dbe, ...) - all on my dbe, transferring the moduls later to other ships.

    get another ship? a hauler, an adder, a dbe...? something which is suited better for this job? that said, fsd range increase, especially getting ship to ~20 (FDL) or >45 (dbe, aspe, conda) is definetly a QOL feature.

    yep. darnielles progress in maia is the only place to buy them; if they are out of stock you can harvest them from barnacles, too, and most sources are close by to maia: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/312632-Meta-Alloy-Ripe-Barnacle-sources ... i personally would recommend that, as it is quite an experience!

    DBE is the ship i have spent most time in since 2.1. (Egineers) - it has been an amazing material collector, i love it for exploring and the new internal compartement makes it alway ready to go some hundred lightyears now. i rarely take it into combat, but with a large MC, a medium pulse turret and a medium burst - all lightweight - it is still capable to do some bountyhunting or CZ, till one of my combt ships arrives. as it has the best FSD-roll of all my ships, it got 49,7 ly on a fulll tank ... in bubble outfitting, including a reinforced 4A shield. that's just mental.

    hey, what kind of ship are you using in which set up? there are only three ways to avoid scans - get out of scan range (speed), run silent or run cold and stay out of auto-resolve distance (which is around 300-600 m from the next ship, depending on your ship and the other ships sensor). many ships can do 1 - for exampel a cobra mkIII or t6 is fast enough if equipped correctly, all ships can do silent running (in which case you need to watch the radar and stay out of autoresolve distance in the first pplace), and all ships can run cold with heatsinks (in which case you still need to stay out of auto-resolve distance). ones a scan has started, you need at least to make ~1,5 km distance to break target lock ... in which case you need again speed.

    Do this, and Open Play will be even LESS attractive. We worked HARD to get those upgrades. I understand the reasons why you'd want this, but I think it'd cost the game a lot of players. Including me, if I ever lost my cutter and the insane amount of effort I've put into getting her mods just so. I know some of you guys don't feel "challenged" unless life continually kicks you in the teeth, but the vast majority of players aren't that masochistic, and FD isn't running a charity to build you your perfectly impossible-to-win game. They do kinda need to make money...
