    Pips affect each aspect differently, and on a curve, where the affect spikes at four pips, and tails off significantly as you go down in numbers. This has the effect of making four pips the significant setting, causing us to have to move the pips around, rather than establishing a static setting based on a ships attributes and it's build.

    The cargo you carry attracts attention from random pirates. If you have more than one 'Fetch' missions going, each missions can attract attention from factions opposed to the mission giver. These are the risks you face when you run the mission. Missions even say: "Enemy ships may be sent against you" in the description before you take them. I encourage these interdictions to pad the rewards from each mission. You will get a mission bonus, specified as an up-date to the mission, for each attacker you destroy, plus any bounty they may have in that system. This is the reflection of the cutthroat galaxy we play in. You can control the amount of exposure you face, by limiting the number of missions you complete at once. The serial interdictions you faced were likely attackers from any of the missions you are running, not necessarily from the same NPC each time.

    A new mechanic was introduced with 2.4. The "Pilots Federation Bounty". It acts exactly as you say, on top of the local murder bounty. The new bounty is specific to destroying a player's ship. Destroying an NPC will continue to only have the local bounty. In short: Yes, it's working as intended. P.S. Clearing your bounty via a Suicidewinder will not reduce your re-buy. You now have a persistent cost associated with the price of the ship you used in the attack, that is assessed with your destruction.

    I was initially attracted to flying a space ship in a scale model of the Milky Way. The thought of the scale and it's implications was/is fascinating to me. Then I became introduced to the ships and the flight model and the deal was done. In 3 years I have put as many hours into Elite than I had in WoW over 6 years. I likely have a reputation on these forums as a 'White Knight', but I would assert that the support I show to FD is completely warranted. Elite: Dangerous is a fantastic game.

    Each rank, as you go up, requires more 'points' to gain an increase. You need more kills to move 1% while 'expert', than you did as 'competent'. Could this be an issue of comparing your previous promotions?

    I don't believe those sensors have anything to do with gimalled weapons tracking at all. The sensors you are talking about only resolve a target, not track them.

    An FdL is a Muscle Car, while the FAS is like a TR-6. The FdL will win a drag race, and put on a good 'smoke show', while the FAS drives rings around it on the road. I know I'd rather have agility to speed in a fight. My FdL collects dust, I'd rather fly a Cliper, and I don't even own one.

    I have never been able to cozy up to my FdL. I don't like sitting so far back from the tip of it, and even though the thrusters are good, I always end up a long way away from my target after a turn. The FdL just punishes you for flying out of the 'blue zone'. I prefer the Vulture/FAS flight characteristics. I hope for a fighter with the Utility Slots and Firepower of the FdL, but with flight characteristics more like the FAS.

    I am a FAS lover as well. I have been able to balance mine out to be a great BGS Raider. I can dominate in HRES/CZ's, haul 32 units of cargo, keep a A4 Fuel scoop, carry an SRV, and an ADS all at the same time. (Strictly in PvE of course.) The Combat only Module Slots and MRP's have made the FAS top notch. The only knock I can give the thing is the weapon split, with one hard point on top. But, I have gotten around that by breaking my triggers up by 'top and bottom' rather than by size. 3 lasers on the bottom, and a nasty old cannon on top, and I can stay on station for a very long time. Only using the cannon to punch out PP's on larger ships. I wish you good luck with your FAS Commander. o7

    Just my perspective: Use the ship you ultimately want to fly, to learn how to use fixed weapons. In the end it's about familiarity. The question that I think is more important is: Where to go to learn how to line up your shots. Go back to a Nav. Beacon. Start with targets you can dominate so you can focus on flying and aiming, rather than the threat they pose. Look to get the shots you want, and nail down your execution, then move up the food chain.

    What my take away from the announcement on Squadrons was, basically what the consensus has always turned out in the forum discussions on the matter. Communications and Organizational tools to allow for coordinating group activities. They seemed to make a point of mentioning Comms, and that the megaship would allow for refuel, repair, and re-spawn. Only time will tell. I will continue to support these kinds of improvements, while I watch for information on the subject.

    Not to my knowledge. Although they have been suggested ad infinitum. I would not like any player/player group owned assets to convey any material benefit to the owner(s). Ship and Module storage sounds nice though.

    Be sure to scroll down the choices available in the box there, after you have closed, and re-booted the Launcher. My 'Horizons' choice is not visible at default. You should find an option to up-grade lower down the list.

    This idea is on-game now. When your shields are 'Broken', you can bring the up to half by coming to a basic halt, and completing the 'Reboot/Repair' sequence.

    Those were my thoughts as well. Usually there are Commanders with much more information than myself around, happy to pass on the details. I guess we'll just have to bide our time on this issue.
