Heck, I've spent a lot of my entertainment budget, over the years, on beer and booze, and you can only rent that stuff. You Sir, are truly compassionate.

Well said, and a reasonable view. I am a musician, talk about repetitive.... The hours of practice and study spent have to be enjoyable or people wouldn't do it. If you put more than a work weeks worth of time into a game, there is something that must be fun and engaging. I wouldn't waste my time on an endeavor like E|D without liking the activities. You can just look at all of the games I have tried and abandoned to see that.

My experience with the game, 3 yrs and counting, doesn't reflect this sentiment at all. I am always impressed by the flight model of each ship, and how they all feel and fly differently. The SRV ans SLF are treats in their own right. Both of those little vehicles are simply 'giggle inducing'. That learning curve, to me, was one of the highlights of my early playing days. I've played any number of multiplayer games, and I have never been more engaged in sorting out my control scheme, and deciphering game mechanics as I have been with E|D. I even bought, in stages, a HOTAS, real gear, just to better enjoy the sensation of flying a ship. In all my gaming time I hadn't even bought a gaming mouse, the G-13 keypad I have was a gift from my game savvy Son to help me along. No, Elite: Dangerous is way more than sights and sounds. Those sights and sounds just improve upon the engaging flight mechanic that is the foundation of the game. I have never more enjoyed the repetitive game play, that all games...

There was never supposed to be any. E|D has a different approach to it. An 'end game' is a crutch.

With 20 weeks of in-game time, and playing steadily since release, I'd be lying if I didn't say I liked the game. I like it very much. I have been happy with most of the decisions FD have made. I don't use all of the features FD have included in the game, but my play style isn't like everyone's. I would trust FD with the meager chunks of my entertainment budget they ask for, all day long. And, I have some days.

No, but they have said that the 15 second timer is cool. Who can't let go of that?

The notion that age bestows wisdom is not supported by the facts. Next. This idea sounds like s private group in the making.

I think if we apply the Occam's Razor theorem, we'll find the simplest fix to this situation is for the Attacker to stop playing the Tool. He lost, he should have moved on to another target once the OP made it into the station. There, all fixed.

Yeah, but that would be a different scenario to what the OP described.

If you are clean, and the perp shoots you, they get tagged as Wanted by the station. Losing the DC at that time doesn't matter if they ram you or explode because of it. They become the transgressor.

You can just get the TWCS throttle from Thrustmaster, and pair it with your X55 stick. My TWCS works fine with my non-Thrustmaster stick.

At one time zeroing the PP was directly followed by destruction, but many patches ago it was changed to having a chance to destroy a ship. These days you have to continue firing, sometimes well beyond zero, in order to get an explosion.

If you can get your targets to drop that many items, you're going to need the Python....

I'm convinced you can dominate NPC's and have at least 32 units of cargo space in an FAS. Would you feel a need for more cargo space than that for your pilfering?

A Cobra Mk III, and the iCourier are both fast, and capable. The Cobra has more module slots if I remember correctly. Either of these ships should do the job. You couldn't go wrong with an FAS either. Good luck Commander. o7

I have had great results from pairing a Logitech Pro 3D stick, with the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle. The 3D Pro has more than enough buttons on the stick, with one of the buttons on the throttle as a modifier, and a twist yaw. I never have to lift my hands in flight. The TWCS has a whole slew of buttons and hats at the ready. I have gotten around the TWCS's lack of detents by using one of the hat switches for 0/25/50/75% thrust key binds. I can slide the throttle to an approximation of those settings, hit the button for what setting I want, and it works perfectly, until you move the slider again. The 3D Pro goes for about $35.00 and the TWCS was about $80.00. This should be within your stated price range. I've had the Logitech for about three years, and I added the throttle when it released. Again, to great results. Let me know if you become interested in some of my key binds. I also have a Thrustmaster HOTAS-X I have never used, to get rid of. But, that's another topic all together.

It appears that the tag line: "Blaze your own trail" somehow trumps the tagline it that appears along side of: "Start with a Sidewinder and 1000 credits". Selective reasoning. We are supposed to believe that one of the most expensive ships is an 'ideal starpoint'. Which I find completely unreasonable.
