with 3 medium mining lasers you get ~28 seconds out of a class 6A WEP engineered PD, and 10 seconds downtime (recharging). you can drill any asteroids with just recharging once. with a charged enhanced PD you get ~24 seconds firing the mining lasers, and 8 seconds downtime. large content asteroids might need 2 times recharging the PD - the second time just a bit. that's at least my experience plus looking to the coriolis numbers assuming a best roll. and for me the reason to ue my g5 charge enhanced materials on ships which really win from it :) i'm not sure whether i'd go for the three mining lasers on a t9, though. maybe you are better off with stripping the asteroid in one go once you have positioned the t9 (which is probably the most challenging part)... i don't see you turning and firing prospectors fast...

from my mining clipper i would say, you can run 3 medium mining lasers, but not sustained... still you can use the spare time to fire prospectors or micro manage the refinery. you are good with 10 collectors in that case. t9 has the best bridge in the game, which is a valid reason to run it as a miner. the industrial design adds to the flavour. other ships are better miners, but if you don't like them ... i run a mining corvette. wonderfull! but definetly nothing i'd rank for on my second or third account.

as there are quite some players active on both pc and one or even two of the two consoles, i don't think your assessment makes sense (so neither fair nor unfair ... logically ex falso sequitur quodlibet (EFQ))

    - you can scan the satellites :-) - one of the medical installations has salomes legacy as an audio log, which you can access via the ships data link scanner

    - your nav panel (left hand) should show "unidentified signal source" and you can target it there - check your filters in left hand panel, if unidentified signal sources do not show up there

you will either have to equalise after the conflicts cooldown, or - as there is only one starport to catch - push to ~65% for a system control conflict (be wry of the controlling faction not getting into a conflict elsewhere or with somebody else)

Equally BGS Groups might view Cannon with disdain: Pathetically caught up waiting for hand written content, which they then gobble up within hours of decrypting the next clue. Or chasing un-implemented ghosts across thousands of lightyears and countless man hours. With neither the wit nor ambition to make significant territorial claims. PvP groups might also regard you as weakling fools unable to raise a hand in your own defense. Of course I personally would not suggest such a thing. The things I value most about Canonn are their openness and collegial humility.

the commodity description of meta-alloys in the commodity market points to the pleiades as well as various galnet articles. but yeah. generally, all things ingame have been found originally before a third party site had a guide on it. most of it group effort, some luck.

goemon replied to a thread Fer-de-Lance Back to the Drawing Board in Ships of Elite
build looks rather solid (besides as above: booster instead of ecm and bi-weave). my fdl doesn't even have bulkheads. may i suggest, instead of going back to the drawing board, going back to an eagle for a while? it's what i do if i get lazy piloting. the eagle isn't fast, so you have to think ahead, and it can't tank. it needs pips management and lateral and vertical thruster management. once you are good with it (again), the FDL will feel like godmode.

I went from below rebuy to a billion cash in a fortnight, and I'm a filthy casual. You could set this bar at 500 Billion and a group would smash it out within the month.

Executive Summary: The Alliance is an outgrowth of the Federation and that Imperial governance of Alioth was always temporary. The Federation were first to colonise Alioth and it was called "Fruitcake" because of the mineral deposits. The rebels of Alioth have always called themselves "Cakers" The Caker rebellions came in three waves. The Early Caker Insurrections of the 23rd Century against Imperial governance. A middle period of Caker unrest with Quenten Devineses leading a revolution in the 27th Century. A time when Walter Argent was born (Meredith's ancestor). And a further insurrection in the 2800's. The Cakers sought Federation assistance to throw off the Imperial force. After the war Fed Navy Admiral Kracer remained in New California (Alioth) as govenor. It is unclear whether he did so in the name of the Federation, or as a Caker.

Triggered. I've been trying to put together the chronology of the Alliance using in-game sources. Thread is here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/365538-A-history-of-the-Alliance-from-in-game-sources I found a few things: The Alliance is an outgrowth of the Federation and that Imperial governance of Alioth was always temporary. The Federation were first to colonise Alioth and it was called "Fruitcake" because of the mineral deposits. The rebels of Alioth have always called themselves "Cakers"

Actually my point is that it's one thing for a group like Canonn to get a MegaShip. They are old, well established, long behavioral track record. And (most importantly) their reason-for-being is driven by mystery, study, and story. Their Megaship will most likely be used for a base of operations as the story moves around the galaxy. Similarly Fuel Rats. But in the hands of a group that is dedicated to BGS manipulation. Whoa - that's a different matter.

instead of getting better engineering rolls, unlocking the last of 20 engineers, or ... whatever ... i spent some time on my third account. when the alien bases were found it hit me that i want the possibility to look at such stuff while we are out. my secondary account has no horizons (got it over a year back for some pew-pew when out exploring, good challege now to jump into unengineered ships while being ranked dangerous!), the commanders pack was on sale, so --- i started fresh, with the idea not to fire a single shot. 25 game hours later i'm sitting harmless in a cobra mkIII, which jumps further than the first AspE i took to sag a*, the sidey got the god roll FSD i wished for on my main acoount and has enhanced performance thrusters, and i have an amazing turbulence paintjob t-6 --- such great ships, all three! i remembered just vaguely that i loved the t6 back then, and i love it again. i think i'm sorted. back to supergiants! :)

A dockable Megaship. That can be relocated by request of the Player Group. That can affect the BGS of the system it is in. SPLOOOODGE!! I'll go get you a towel.

yeah, something like this. per instance. per docking. per system visit... as there are stations where you can fly from one to the other in real space, all kind of strange things might be possible ... but i have only tested "per trip".

recon is going well. we got two escort missions done so far. so not alot of action, both of them helping the station cg. still need more pilots. but any experance we get now is helpful. and feel free to ask for a escort at any time. pretty sure the k crew could use help from time to time and while we cant directly get involved by hulling cargo ourself. we don't mind keep you guys safe while you do your work.
