    last time i tested that (in 2.3) i could not see any difference between a single 22K cr bounty redeem and a 300k bounty redeem. while value might have some effect, strictly speaking in terms of influence gains you are best off with cashing in after each kill. USS bountyhunting around a station + docking computer ftw. diminuishing returns are hitting quite early, though. 12 bounty redeems are only ~25% more effective than 3 in a small population system. also note, that a res session can push your factions influence indirectly by reducing other factions influence via shipkills even after you have hit the soft- or hardcap on influence gains by boubty redeems.

    a general idea for those already at 3 geminorum. scout for small planets with vulcanic activity and jumponium materials. geysers and fumaroles are consistent (if they spawn for one), and it would be very easy that way for those arriving later to replenish jumponium.

    you can cash in your data at Sacaqawea Space Port, or do the next 3000-4000 ly to Gandharvi or Rohini, spaceports in the middle of nowhere. So at least you'll have saved ~50% of the data of your trip :)

    the only time i pilot the keelback itself is to run, when its shields are down. So basically it isn't build to be used by me in combat, i'm not sure whether i even fired the railguns myself once. i just use it as a carrier/support for piloting the slf, which is good fun - more fun than having a fully engineered gunship on your side, as in that case you can sit back in the slf and watch. With a keelback, you have to draw aggro in the slf, and really pilot the fighter well. i either use an imperial fighter with fixed beams, or a imperial fighter with fixed pulses. or a federal fighter with MCs.

While helping other commanders to find us in the middle of nowhere, i was coding a small application for my flight computer, which should help to track my progress, to measure the speed needed to keep up with the expedition, and to project unrepairable damage over the whole distance covered as to know when i might have to do a buckyball sprint for repairs. Listening to the audio-communication channel, interrupted of the plops of ships jumping in from supercruise, and honks of the fellow explorers greeting newly arrived one, i saw the scanner being filled...

    for my keelback with a similar usecase, i have two plasma slug G1 longrange medium railguns - higher ranked AI is really good with railguns. i have a small turreted ammo increased corrosive MC, to apply the special - 20% damage bonus can't be beaten. and a small turreted efficient burst, again just to apply specials - either with heat or with scramble special. heat helps with scb spamming of npc, scramble helps once shields are down; depends on the type of fighter i intend to fly.

When the Alliance-drawl of the flight-operator greeted me, i remembered why i have this strange feeling about the enclave out there. You won’t find a better managed place out of the bubble. Out here things are pretty much like in the heart of alliance territory, LHS 331 for example. It’s a perfect simulation of normality - as if the bases weren’t build next to fumaroles, like Ford Research Laboratory, or strange fungal growth like Mic Turner Base. As if there weren’t barnacles around, but no thargoids. As if there were the usual rainbow of alliance minor factions, some anarchistic Freemen, next to Commies, next to an Investor, instead of only one authoritarian research institution.     i'm doing mainly the same things since two years or so: - backgroundsimulation. either helping a player backed minor faction, or running tests on the mechanics. - exploring. mainly travelling to real galaxy sights, like visiting all real galaxy supergiants. but now i have signed up for a year long group circumnavigation. - tourism in and around the bubble. visiting a new installation, megaship, generation ship, a new thargoid base etc. basically ingame hollidays. having three accounts helps with the above.

    no, but be aware that you have to restart the game from desktop to get new numbers in some cases, to clear the cache. between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - yes, possible. depends on population size how hard it is - and how much other players are playing in the system

    just to get this into perspective. the groups subforum has subforum-specific rules, which are stated and forced to be seen before posting there. "1. One thread per group. 2. One pinned general-discussion thread for the merits of groups. 3. Posts in threads should relate to the group only. ..." so, no matter how much i feel your frustration, OP's thread in dangerous groups was definetly in the wrong place, and i would have deleted it as well.

    you have no idea how much that would break the BGS :D ... from my understanding, minor faction renames are even more complicated than inserting minor factions.
