    it's a known bug (and will be patched out soon). you get flagged for a hyperdiction and that flag isn't deleted after it sometimes. got 6, before it went away (even relogging didn't help).

    a very valid reason :D for me it is about the same ... i love the muffled sound in a FDL cockpit, and running as many beams as possible adds to luxury combat sound experience.... need to look into 5 efficient beams ... but i don't think that would be in any way functional...

    well, since some weeks I'm not only rich, but actually there isn't even a luxury vessel for some special job to buy and outfit anymore ... i have a mining corvette, a trutter, an explonda etc. etc., the same in medium and multiple times in small. since then my account at the bank of zaonce is simply rising. while i liked the situation some weeks ago - having a lot of CR, not having to look at rebuys and purchase prices - the current situation - earning CR without anything to spend them on - is irritating. as i mainly enjoy flying small ships, it is even more irritating. as for get rich or die trying, i always had other goals than CR in the game ... from BGS testing and manipulation to triple elite rank, money can't buy ;-)

    basically, by multiplying postive influence effect of superpower redeems with the number of superpower aligned minor faction, you simply make a system harder to move - a bit like huge population systems don't move in any direction, no matter who wins or looses, and no matter how strong the influence value of a bounty redeem is. now a small population system with some superpower aligned minor factions and a lot of superpower bounty transactions can feel like a multi-billion-people system.

    many BGS effects, especially of random traffic, only take place if a lot of players are influencing it ... in so far it is truly a simulation. similar to the situation now was the introduction of powerplay in its original form. while the mechanic itself had been tested in beta, there was no way to test the effect of massively upped crime and murder (which powerplay action were counted as in the original design) throughout the bubble before it went live. FDEV made the changes (not counting powerplay related crimes for the BGS), otherwise we would still deal with most of humanities core space being endless killing fields of civil unrests, lockdown and wars/civil wars.

    in your scenario - yes. if only superpower bounties are turned in, and not repeatedly. but any other action for faction C is reduced in effect, as there are more positive influence actions in system. calculate again with 1 single bounty redeem for faction A and a positive influence trade effect for faction C. compare that to a superbounty redeem now, which would create 2 positive actions. do that again with 3 superpower alligned minor factions plus "faction C", and you can easily see why many groups are reporting that they can't move influence anymore, no matter what they do. in reality we are looking at numbers like 50-100 positive influence actions by random traffic pre 2.3., and suddenly 150-400+ positive influence action in a (maybe even small population) system with 3-4 superpower aligned minor factions, or more. you can only run that much missions ;-) that actually is such a severe break of the basic design of the BGS, where it is about effort ... which is a severe problem imho.

    i actually like the class 6 luxury cabins (8 seats) on mine, as you anyway very rarely have missions with more than 8 first class seats. if you fly an orca, you can as well fit a class 6 luxury cabin. whether it is "worth it" to get an orca/dolphin/beluga so you have luxury cabins at all, is a different question.

    that graph is impressive! i think you are missing two of the three problems with the new mechanic: as the number of actions goes up, the effect of single actions goes down, that means: the controlling faction will benefit less from other actions. that effect isn't down to buffed influence values of bounty hunting, but down to multiplication of actions by number of superpower aligned minor factions. let's say a single bounty claim would be halfed in its influence effect to 2.2. now. that would help with two superpower aligned minor factions in system. but already at three you are again at 1,5 ... with 4 at 2 etc. add to that that raising influence at lower levels is more easy than at high levels, you get exactly the effect shown at voggix excellent graph ... reducing the influence effect of bounties again is changing the less important part of the equitation. also, the upped influence effect was a request of player groups to make it possible to defend against attacks.

    i would suggest trying not to cash in any superpower bounties. only cash in your factions bounties. talk to your members, make it an "order", collect traffic of your group, check against traffic report... if i'm correct as detailed in this thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/346177-BGS-Backgroundsimulation-New-Superpower-Bounties-Mechanic-and-Bountyhunting-after-2-3 , you are diminuishing any other effort you make by multiplying positive influence actions with all federal alligned minor factions in system, which is 3. maybe even collect the number of bounty redeems of all your players for a day, so you can estimate whether there is a lot of random traffic with commanders cashing in potentially superpower bounties.

    we are at maia, at least i am. i want to mention for no special reason that i have flown my cutter out there the first time since it got dirty drive tuning ... with cargo. where is the special note in fat big red on top of the thread for people like me @kietrax that a) building fabricators can be bought 5 ly from maia and b) there is a shipyard out there now? :D

    heads up: the first mega ship changed its controlling faction by an election. looks as if the BGS treats megaships like other assets. and faction of the mega ship fisher rest expanded from their 100% influence system aldebaran, following the usual rules. might be interesting to test whether the same can be done the other way round.

    a war will block lockdown, minimum duration 4 ticks/days after it went active (not sure when that was) you can always transfer moduls and ships to another station, even when the station where the module or ship are is in lockdown.
