    yes, reboot/repair would get your afmu back to 1%, which you can use to repair the other moduls again. reboot/repair used oxygen from life support, but with synthesis for that, it shouldn't be a problem. only the powerplant isn't to repair. if your afmu is at 0%, your powerplant will be dead or close to 0, too.

    On a completely different tangent I personally think this exped will be the last "great exped". It will be for me, I know that. Most of the challenging long term expeditions have already been done. We may still have a lot of systems to still explore but in terms of "bigness" this is up there with DWE. Unless FD release another galaxy to explore (alpha centarui anyone?) I think we are going to see the poor old milky way getting passe soon.

    Yeah exploration trimmed in all aspects. The twin PAs are viable weapons but are purely fitted to fine tune fuel capacity and weight. Lightweight point defence is exactly that Lightweight shields and hull is good but not made for fighting

    Playing the game as a survivalist as I do – we all get our kicks somehow – I avoid these hotbeds. Seeing rebuy screens and throwing away ships for the fun of it doesn't help with my immersion. I guess I just wish it all made more sense in a game universe continuity and Commander agency sort of way. Until such time, I'll be out in the black still most likely and leave it for the rest of you to contend with. Gone are the days where my un-Engineered rum runner Cobra could effectively participate in these sort of things. At least it was fun while it lasted, helping get Obsidian Orbital built and the like. To each their own and all that.

    I personally dont want 'announcements' of CG's just new items mentioning certain things are required at a certain place. As it stands its like flag waving saying flock here and do this, if it all was more low key they could run more CG's and actually have people feeling they are doing something rather than money laundering. As the game stands now it seems the player base are being treated as a flock of wild birds moving from one area to another to try to get x credits and take items here why not have a more decent back narrative that gives us a sense that we are actually doing something rather than just flag waving.

    My anaconda is armed and defended but it wouldn't really do that well in a fight, it isn't a combat build, it is an exploration ship with 'discouargers'.     i agree, but my OP was posted with a view to previous updates and where the game is now, i have no idea how to make the the ED Universe more realistic, adventurous,or appealing to players, what i do know is that i stopped playing for the reason that i believe the game revolves around CG's, (amongst others too). CG's are basically just another grind wrapped up in a different paper, they all just include a grind of some sort, i got fed up with grinding, i stopped doing the cg's, as a player, i wanted some meaningful gameplay, something to make me want to log on. Frontier should perhaps expand the exploration to be more interesting and useful, for example, why have a CG to get new Thargoid weapons and tek, they could have said, ok you pilots out there, get off your back sides and explore this area, or other areas, look for abandoned or damaged Thargoid ships and tech, bring to Palin, or our other science guys, we will invent new weapons for it, and after the military is equipped we will put then up for...

    Yes i know that, but the first lead up to 2.4 is CG's, and this leads me to believe the whole story will revolve around cg's again. Due to the instancing nature and non persistent p2p network, i don't think we will ever see a truly epic type of war where every commander and the main powers will be sending fleets and ships out to battle.

    I am an original beta player no longer playing this game, but keep waiting for something to interest me enough to come back. So i am sad to see the first content mentioned for 2.4 is community goals again. It appears to me that this game always revolves around CG'S for any content, which just simple means more grinding, same old, same old, shoot pirates, bring this, fetch that. So yes we need new weapons to fight the Thargoids, open a cg to get them, what will be next, the Thargoids are invading, open a CG for new defense outposts, the federation needs new ships, open a CG to help build them. Is this going to be the future of the game, can anything ever be added to this game without a CG. Still not seeing anything to make me want to come back, maybe other ex players are thinking the same.

    Both the PvE and PvP aspects of criminal gameplay need some TLC from the dev team. The C&P changes coming next week are a good start, but much more needs to be done to incentivise criminal gameplay, along with the punishment. A good start would be to adjust the behaviour of collector limpets, so that they can collect while your ship is moving instead of smashing your sweet shiny stolen diamonds into your hull :mad:

    Core/not core. I don't see any reason to split hairs here. Tell that to them, if you want. Anyway, on point, to me having the route plotter bumped up to 20K LY instead of 1K LY means one thing and one thing only – not having to check the galactic map quite as often unless I feel like it. In other words: Meh. I mean, I guess it's kind of cool that they can do that, but as an actual improvement to game-play...

    It comes down to timing. For the first conflict, the war, you might have lost the war on the final tick. There's another day of war that shows up in the news and stats, but it doesn't count. CZs will sometimes still be open and the war looks like it's continuing. But it was already decided on the tick before. Sometimes, the war shows to be active for two ticks after the deciding tick. In this case, the CZs generally go into a ceasefire. Yes, it's buggy, but we work with what we have. For the second conflict, the election, it's pretty close to the same thing. The deciding tick might have already happened and the controlling asset has changed hands. But the election shows to be continuing and the system map might not have been updated. There's always at least one extra day after a conflict is decided before the stats are completely updated. It wasn't always like this, but once again, we work with what we have. 2.4 will change some things. We don't know what, but new bugs will be...

    Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to disparage new ideas, although I also think we've had too many of these ideas trying to make ED into something else. But forcing us to carry cargo or making us fit our ships to your ideas is just plain wrong. The first year I played, I was exclusively combat oriented. This was before engineers, so I admit that things have changed. And not really for the better in that regard. I wouldn't want someone new to the game to be forced into a mission or cargo oriented build just to appeased a small minority of CG PvP'ers. Exploration ships would also suffer. My exploration Asp was built to be lightweight and cool running. My combat ships are purpose built as well. Leave them alone. Build your ships to your purpose and don't force your way of playing on me.
