    Have you tried naming it CH.2.0.binds and changing line 2 to show that name and the type numbers as in?: <Root PresetName="CH" MajorVersion="2" MinorVersion="0"> It really doesn't make sense that yours are being overwritten and others are not. ( PSA - twich remlock helmet eating tba ;) )

    Yes I am sure they are having a little chuckle at yet another whine request by PvP players that they want to be able to kill more players. Just go shoot each other. (Oh yes, please stop trying to camouflage the desire for prey by pretending it's about "fairness in the BGS". :rolleyes: )

    It is worth keeping a look-out for any "Sale Offer" becoming available - Black Friday (24 Nov) is a good chance of there being a discount price available and maybe even before then. P.S. "Distress Call" seems to be a lure (like the old 10 cannisters of gold that produced a wing of pirates with one saying "I'm surprised that worked") but once I came across a NPC sitting there wailing that they had run out of fuel.

    Yes once the first 5 or 6 kylies are past. ;) However, at the roof, floor, edge or inter-spirals of the galaxy even 45 Ly is low and some places even with 100% jumponium boost need more than that. Mainly though, for me the larger FSD jump is to get out beyond the "tagged" systems. Others look to use that to ease their journeys to specific places - I have only ever done one "destination" trip out beyond the bubble and that was before Engineering when my AspX had something like 25ish Ly jump (can't remember for sure but definitely under 30) and that wasn't my first trip "into the black". Hard to imagine that those 3 or 4 kylie trips seemed so epic to me back then! :)

    You should therefore be able to rename your .binds file and also change the name in line 2 of the file to that descriptor. Now copy that file and paste it into a different directory - never keep copies in the appdata tree one - you shouldn't need the copy but belts and braces. With a renamed '.binds' file it will NEVER be overwritten by any update. I have never had a binds file overwritten, because none of mine are called "custom". The most changes you will see is that after running the game post a major update then your controls will be automatically saved to a new "number" binds file - e.g. CHpro.1.8.binds produces a new file Chpro.2.0.binds (Chpro.1.8.binds will still be there in the directory). I use CHPro gear too and if you follow the above steps and again get your binds file "wiped" - I shall eat my Remlock helmet live on Twitch. ;)

    I've hooted my horn about these scan missions (both Civil War & planetary) before. But here goes again. I, like many here, enjoy a challenge. But sometimes I just want to scan and go collect. Several of you have mentioned that there is no lore, or rhyme or reason for these missions. To me a Civil War scan means there is unrest and there more the likelihood that it will be guarded. Perhaps adding pluses to it would indicate it to be a more challenging target. Obversely a simple planetary should be a quite simple easy scan with less Pay? Chief

    If an NPC pulls me from SC then they are automatically wanted, I just press hostile and the target is ready to shot.

    Once a target shot has hit your shields; hit the hostile button, they are automatically wanted.

    USS are a major (the major for some) source of materials as well as interesting encounters. The one you "chickened out" on was a Thargoid instance.

    It has nothing to do with "improving the open experience" - they just want more real people to kill. The fact that an openly "Code" member makes the suggestion has given me the biggest laugh of today.

    Don't - all (or at least most) of us have done similar. I remember making a thread about how horrible it was to get the SRV into position to re-enter the ship only to have someone point out that there was a lovely little light sitting there to tell you you could now "board ship". LOL

    The deciding factor is whether the target scanner window (bottom left) has finished and the ship shows as "wanted". I believe you can get a KWS to complete before that happens, you show ' "event":"MaterialCollected", "Category":"Encoded", "Name":"emissiondata" ' whether that means your scan must have completed or not I don't know. If you are convinced that you saw the naughty pirate as "Wanted" before you shot it then you can bug report it. However, many newly-spawned AI are not "wanted" until they shoot you, i.e. they spawn clean and since you show ' "event":"Bounty", "Target":"diamondbackxl", "TotalReward":0 ' that would suggest they were clean. edit - ninja'd

    If you really want one on your ship now you can get close by buying a Pirate Faction Paint Job: I have the unrelated skull decal but I think that was part of the Mercenary thingie, or something like that.

    Absolutely agree that the emergency helmet should replicate the HUD elements when the canopy goes. Lets's face it, since Tony Stark can do this for his Iron Man outfit now then Remlock should be able to do it in the future! ;)
