I think Frontier came clear on this matter good year and a half ago. Unless Apple match up the specs of basic gaming computer, they can't do anything. It's not as much of a hardware problem, as it is software, namely compute shaders (or lack thereof) and altogether archaic API support. Do you know what a developer can do when an owner of a closed-environment system doesn't want to support their product? Absolutely nothing. In other words - Apple doesn't give a damn about gaming on Mac. If you want to throw accusations around, go accuse them.

If you want to intimately interact with beings who are living there, ME: Andromeda is quite awesome. ;) As far as exploration in Elite, goes, this is pretty exciting stuff! (But it is one of those "If you don't understand, it's not worth explaining it to you) ---------- OP, I think that the probability of ELW is about 1:50 to 1:100 Probability of two ELWs in one system is maybe 1:1000 (judging by my discoveries) Probability of two ELWs orbiting each other is probably quite astronomical. :)

I have the Logitech THX-certified 5.1 surround sound system for my PC and it really shows how amazingly good the E D audio is. I have a very good set of gaming cans (HyperX Cloud II) I wear late at night (otherwise the sub-woofer would kill the neighbours) but honestly, 5.1 is just a huge leap better. (P.S. Planet Coaster is great in 5.1 too.) (P.P.S. No I don't want to go to 7.1 thanks.)

I have always questioned, if light can exist in the same instance of something moving faster than light. But then relativity has to be considered. I would say that you maybe able to see the head-lights of something coming straight at you travelling at those speeds, but you would not see a beam from a side view.

No point in having them on in super-cruise, because you are travelling faster then light most of the time. For things like mining or traversing the dark side of planets, they are very useful.

Yeah I misunderstood your intention - sorry. Anywayup, the main thing is that DST sucks - I live by UTC - 'cos I don't have to go to work any more and I never watch TV live. Ex-forces and aviation so Zulu time is second nature, couple that with amateur radio and online flight sims, you can see why I always have UTC on my desk clock.

Ok I am new as in NEW with one open game flight and a few training (with more to come) flights. I jumped to a system and decided to practice my "landing". I located the nearest station a research station ( I did not take notes well or such but will do better next time) with an external landing pad. I called for clearance and got it with the number of the pad. I lowered my gear and made my approach low and careful. I lined up and finally got the indicator that I was above the pad. I lowered her down lining up by the indicator and sat it down gently. Nothing. I lifted slightly and tried again. I guess I finally wore out my welcome as I received a fine notice so I decided to depart. Obviously not quickly enough as they began to shoot me and I died. Now you might think I might be mad. But I'm not as I'm just learning. But what might I have done wrong here? Chief

I have said it before: I am still waiting for my troop of elephants to carry me across the the station and gently push my ship out of the mail slot. I paid for such things in the future. Maybe we could engineer the DC to do the launching for us and while we are at it, lets engineer the Advanced scanner, to scan everything, instead of having to still visit each body in a system and scan them separately.

The imperial units fitted well onto the backs of packets in smoke-filled engineering meetings, new-fangled SI units brought lined notepads and banned ashrtrays. ;)

Yea, it can be a pain. Devs promised they will appear much more regularly in the future. As of now, if you're not mode-switching, it can take weeks and at some stations they simply don't appear at all.

Since we are now on BST in the UK, I would have liked to have opened a book on how long it will take for the usual "can I change the clock?" or " why is my ship's clock wrong?" post to appear. (No I didn't make it a *** spit *** poll *** spit *** ! ) ;)
