    I simply asked a question. "How would you see a bargaining mechanic? Do you envisage a trading feature where both CMDRs are online and are haggling over price?" Another reason I asked is, you would also need an 'automated' trading system, because not everyone wants to interact with other CMDRs, but they should also be able to make use of trading. Trading PvP should be on par with trading PvE. The reason I asked for credit worth before was with regard to the claim of added gameplay, and the difficulty putting a price on a material. Yeah, I understand the mechanic alright :) I understand wanting a way to skip unpleasant gameplay. Nothing wrong with that sentiment.

    But you didn't address my reasoning. If you're rich enough that buying materials will not make a significant difference on your bank account, in what way does it add gameplay? I agree with you that gathering materials can be a boring business, but it is gameplay. Replacing this with: go into menu, choose the number of materials you want to buy, click buy, would not add gameplay in my opinion if you haven't got a care in the world financially. How would you see a bargaining mechanic? Do you envisage a trading feature where both CMDRs are online and are haggling over price? Or would it be more likely a hub where sellers can sell their materials at a market determined price and buyers can buy them at a market determined price? By the way, in your reply I'm not sure whether you're agreeing or disagreeing with me :) So in short: in order to claim that trading adds gameplay, the decision to buy materials should come at such a cost that it actually becomes a decision.     I politely disagree. As I said, my style and your style are different, meaning what suits you 100% will not suit me 100%. I'm fine with a large chunk of folk using a "cookie cutter one size fits all" build, but I'm willing to put int he time and effort to make my ship suit me 100%, and I won't even get started on different ships for different purposes within my own fleet. Having the ability to fine tune the ship's power use, heat, power requirements would actually be a heck of a lot of fun. In the same way as I used to enjoy outfitting my Vulture before engineers. It was power starved, and it was a choice of shields, speed and firepower - pick two. I spent a lot of time making the best use of every last watt of power the power plant could supply. Making adjustments, taking it out, seeing if it worked, making a change, going out again... It also takes time - but it's enjoyable, and it is a learning experience that becomes a useful in game skill. Engineers destroyed this, and gave us an RNG + grind...

    Ziggy makes a good point about balance/effort, but it should be noted that several player groups created highly successful in-game trade systems for engineering goods back when some of the ingredients were commodities. It was an interesting meta-game that created some fun drama and wild west type standoffs in a completely unregulated market where reputation and force of arms were the only mitigating factors (well... networking shenanigans played an unwelcome role as well). If you could trade engineering goods face to face (not in an anonymous hub) then it would spawn several kinds of emergent "mining" and "trading" meta-economies along with plenty of drama and player interaction. Goods could be traded for other goods or money or whatever people deemed was valuable. That seems like it would address both the balance/effort issue and creating more meaningful interactions/gameplay.

    Leaving high g's is easy; engage vertical thrusters, don't let go of the vertical thrusters, clear the surface, full throttle to forward thrusters, don't let go of the vertical thrusters, pitch ship to 90 deg while still at full forward thrusters, don't let go of the vertical thrusters, when you have reached maximum velocity, you can now let go of the vertical thrusters. Not before. That is how your ship leaves the planet when you dismiss it. Also using boost if you have it.

    Oh sure. Doesn't make PvP an end game :) But those characteristics don't make it an end game. It make it the most complicated activity in ED and by a big margin from everything else. For you it might be the goal you set yourself, others have other goals.

    As to your build with a decent shield and hull you should be fine outside of CZ and comp nav beacons, my engineered build is a bit faster and more agile but not by a vast amount, the DPS is higher but in the same ballpark, I'd suggest trying it at a nav beacon to assess the offensive/defensive capability Although the shields on mine appear to be worse the engineering mods add a lot of resistance against energy weapons (i.e. they take less damage from lasers) so wings of small fighters should be avoided as they'll do a fair bit of damage against stock shields other than that it looks like a solid build.

    PvP is not an end game. End games are restricted to max level in RPG MMOs. You can PvP minutes after buying the game.
