    You do not need cargo for combat merits. Combat merits are stored in your transactions panel and need to be delivered to your PowerPlay contact in one of your control systems.

    From the livestream: Yes they are playing 3.0, but its not finished 3.0, as 3.0 isn't ready to go live. So... 2.9.1..... :D They have disabled quantum travel. (Perhaps to stop people going where they don't want them to go). Disabled Mobiglass Only Daymar where they have "thrown down" some POIs. So basically, stuff they added just for the show.

    I think you need a new hobby OP. However, have you tried a B rated combat tank? B rate everything and engineer everything with integrity improving mods. Its fun. My Beluga took about 30 dumbfires to the face when its shields dropped and i lost less than 50% hull and modules held up nicely. Finished him off, and shields regenerated and was able to continue in battle.

    So, gamescon today right? SC fans getting very excited about some images they have been shown. For example this. Now, i must admit, it looks very nice, but, can that be a real in-game shot with no photoshop on top? Are CIG misleading people?

    StvAce - while you idea has some merit, and there are many changes that could be made to powerplay to improve it, i feel you could have written a post that is more likely to get decent consideration from the devs. As a one-time dev, i can tell you, the moment that someone uses the word "demand" with me, its the day i flush their idea down the toilet.

    LOL, that's just amazing. Thanks for the info and i think its clear where the blame lay. However, excuse me if i take the story as perhaps only partial truth, members of SDC have been known in the past to massage the truth to fit their own agenda ;)

    Well, grabby hands is apparently coming... apparently. Once they have that, they have manual loading, so trading is probably just around the corner, but darnit, probably just won't be ready in time for 3.0. But don't worry, it will come soon. And now, here's another concept sale of a ship that punches above its weight!

    That would imply they are no longer beholden to what they promised, which presumably would be breaking the terms of kickstarter. You cannot do a switch a bait. Only if every single backer gave express permission to change what was promised can they get off scott free, unless, the are willing to unconditionally give refunds to every single backer. The updated TOS seem to indicate they would try and winggle out of that should there ever be a mass run on the funds. I presume they don't want to rock that boat and deny refunds unless it becomes a serious problem, because i guess they know they are on unsteady territory with their changes to scope and TOS.

    You might be right. I might even buy it if its ever released, but there again, i might be part of their target demographic. But looking at the game they are trying to produce, i'm not sure it will be for me. The flight model still seems wrong, and while they might have some interesting gameplay and mechanics, the whole thing seems like its trying to be too real. At the end of the day, i want a fun game, not a virtual life.

    Engineering did tip the balance, but if they just upped the NPCs across the board it would hurt many players who don't have access to engineers. And yeah, i wonder myself sometimes about the playstyle of people who say that NPCs are too easy. I'm not the best at combat, but i'm fairly sure i'm not terrible, but i can still get a challenge even flying a fully engineered FdL.

    Should be fine if those challenging NPCs are either restricted to specific locations (eg: Haz Res or low sec systems) or as a result of taking high risk/high paying missions. Then those who want challenging NPC combat can get it without risking upset from people who are simply trading between high/medium sec systems.

    Sure, its just guessing, but considering what we see on the forums and polls, I think i might be right. I don't think many people who are not interested in PvP play for the danger of being PvP'd upon.
