    Do they even have 1 million sales? I know they are meant to have a million plus accounts, but does that equate people who have bought the game already? And of course, we have no idea how many will buy the game when released, assuming any new sales will be made. And out of all those backers, how many are interested in SC rather than SQ42. I'm sure there are more than a few who backed for SQ42 rather than SC.

    Look, I get that PowerPlay is boring, dull, uninteresting and a load of other synonyms, but where is your professional curiosity? Are you not the least bit curious how on Earth the game ended up calculating an impossible score for ALD?

    What is wrong with having the traders do the hard work in getting the combat people what they need? How would combat help in the development of new technologies? My only beef with the CGs is how you can buy goods that are not Thargoid stuff to advance the Thargoid related CGs. If it was collect alien stuff only, it would make a lot more sense.

    Unfortunately, Open restricts how i want to play. To play in Open you need to be prepared for PvP at any moment. This means flying ship capable of taking part in PvP or at least evading it... and if you are just evading it, what is the point? Even out at Sag A* you might find someone just looking to blow you up. This is not the sort of gameplay i want from ED, so i don't feel like i'm missing much. If anything, i'm gaining from not flying in Open, not losing. The question from my side is, why do you care we are missing out in your eyes? To each their own.

    I don't recall FD every saying 100 programmers. I seem to recall them saying a year or so ago they had 100 people working on ED. Developing a game takes a lot more than just programmers. Some people, such as Customer Support will support the company as a whole. Some people will be dedicated to just ED, or at least for long durations. Some will work on ED as and when they are needed. For example, artists will likely get pulled between different projects as needed. Even if you put a gun to Braben's head, he probably could give you no more than a rough indication of how many people or programmers are working on ED at any point in time.

    I often thought access should come through remaining loyal to the Fed/Empire for a long time. Work for them, and slowly, over time, gain access. Not stupidly grind, just work for them. Perhaps a year of play, running missions, and then, you get access. I wonder how people would feel if instead of having to grind for ranks for the Cutter or Corvette, instead you had to pledge to the Federation or Empire. To make it have some downsides, you would become automatically hostile in the opposing systems. KOS. After 1 year (real time) of pledge, you got access to that ship. There you go, grind removed :D

    Well, when there isn't much of a game to play, all that is left is theorycrafting. Its what the reddit sub is best at. I particularly love threads that are like "When SC releases, i'm going to do X"... where X is something that probably won't even be possible should SC achieve everything that have said they want to. Exploration based ones are the funniest. Even with 100 systems, everywhere is going to be fully explored within days or weeks.

    But by your own words you already have more credits than you need..... And you can make plenty of money playing the game. I'm not saying that missions for example couldn't do with more work on the risk/reward front. Some of those are pretty out of whack. But money is easy to make these days. So, not sure what your issue is here anyway. What content do you enjoy now? I mean, for the enjoyment of doing it, rather than the credits?

    Then that doesn't mesh with your opening statement. So, you have more than enough money, adding a few zeroes doesn't change much. So... you don't need more credits. You don't want more credits. But you get fun in ED by making credits. You see what i'm struggling to understand here? So... what is your motivation for playing the actual, you know, game?
