I sold all of my gimballed weps to make some room...except one, the lightweight mc for my explorer DBX. Using other ships is a pain - which is why storage was so widely welcomed in the first place! It's just disingenuous to suggest this is now the panacea to the problem. Scenario to fit ship stored module: Store current ship A - oh which ship has that module again? (assuming the correct ship is located at the current station) - Nope, not this one..or that one...ah there it is, on ship D! Select ship D...outfitting - store said module...arghhh bollox...no room at the inn - okay, pick module from storage to swap (remember new module stored on ship D) - okay done...now choose original ship A again! - & finally, fit module! What an efficient process inc watching the animations each time ...but it's all sorted now - & relax!...Arghhh! Power limit exceeded!

Been in the game since December, IIRC - approx. 6:45 in I wouldn't advise using against commanders, but against NPCs? Well meh!...just do anything you like! Yeah-yeah 'git gud'...I know!

Oh God! We have a live one here, folks! Wait, you got me! Hahaha! Top quality irony, my friend! +1 :Owhat's that?...you are actually serious!? -1 Btw, good luck in your 5 year mission; to seek out your misplaced perspective....to go boldly (that's right...I don't split infinitives!) where a multitude of delusional fanboys have been before. NB - My favourite quote from the piece is highlighted

Yeah, that's why it sucks to be ganked - nothing to do with not understanding that ED is just a game/loss of credits/loss of your collection of pixels - it is just that someone deliberately wasted some of your finite recreation time for no other reason than to irritate you! Having said that, Ed's attempts to escape were simply pathetic - how long has he been playing, again? :O - panic into the galmap , no submission, no evasion, no system pre-selected & no drop down after high wake. "Oy vey!!!" Some people just deserve to be killed!

Text is notoriously difficult to identify subtle humour without a :P or a :D!....especially in the alternate reality of Frontier Forums! (that wasn't a joke!)

I'm sure Adam Woods spoke about it in the latest ED vid...& definitely mentioned it was a small ship! :O Oooh! Feline strategically placed amongst the pigeons!

Actually Chris, I wasn't really talking about you - I've seen a lot of your comments & you strike me as one of those 'lesser-spotted reasonable fanboys' :P ...that 'video game/waste of time' argument, however, was not one of your finest! :)

Nearly as bad as your spelling of it! This is why arguing with the die-hard fanboys is futile; basically, time is just not as much of an issue for them, hence engaging in boring crap is acceptable or even preferable, as an initiation ritual & barrier to entry for honorary membership of the 'La la la, I can't hear you - Frontier can do no wrong!' club! Even this obvious difference doesn't register! :O

Achilles7 replied to a thread whats the best pvp ship? in PvP
Absolutely the best way to start is small...ViperIII, DBS, Courier & Vulture are all viable starter ships...but be careful at the community goals (CGs) because many players have very good G5 engineered full meta ships & are very experienced too. Personally - as a casual player myself - I advocate this 'in at the deep end' method as a fast-track learning curve. Remember to vid all of your fights & watch them back a few times; also, ask what you could have done better if you get a chance to chat to your more skilled opponents, either in the aftermath or back at the station. Even the gankers are mostly pretty good guys in this game...if you forget about the actual gank, that is! For general PvP in random, 'non-hotspot' systems, any of those four ships will be in with a good chance of victory (at least a moral victory) against average players...with engineering ofc as it is ubiquitous, hence essential for PvP now. Golden rule: 4 pips in sys when under sustained fire (unless you are using SR ofc :O) & as...

I went to the crashed Anaconda recently (can't remember its location now), having found it twice before pretty quickly & easily by using mk1 eyeball when arriving the rough coordinates; this third time it was completely dark & was an absolute nightmare (I've gotta stop with the puns) to find despite being right on top of it. ...but otherwise, yeah I agree!

Come on Ashnak?...that is just disingenuous! The guy is asking for advice. This vid has a poor, inexperienced PvPer in a FDL vs one of the best in a sidey - we've all beaten rubbish players who have better ships - any discussion has to work on the 'ceteris paribus' rule...anything else skews results. The FDL is the best all round PvP ship due to it's combo of strengths (very well documented - so I'm not going to go over exactly why!) Only possible exceptions are a - please don't ever do this first one - dull long range Courier (20+ min fight) &/or FAS with PAs &/or rails. Even a decent PvP pilot in a FDL or FAS will take down a Vette (if they have enough ammo) - I've taken some of the best CG Corvettes (a few times, the most wanted on the top 5 list) down with my Vulture, let alone my FDL & I'm a tier down from the very best PvPers.

    WRONG! It's a FDL

Ofc reverski is possible in a FGS (especially against the crap NPCs)...it's just that you have to go through the boost - FAOFF - 180 flip more often & you're fighting a DBS in Gunship for Jesus H's sake - face-tank is what.it.does! If I were you, I'd dial down the overconfidence a bit until you've beaten - or at least given a tough fight to - a few of the experienced 'usual suspect' cmdrs at a CG or two! ;)

Well...I'd probably still be trying to unlock most of the engineers. I played for the first three or so months without using the forums, 3rd party tools & YT; when I finally 'gave in' I learned about FAOFF, ADS for discovering invisible planets, how to find specific modules/ships/commodities for sale, Robigo (for the fun gameplay - the cash was just a bonus!) etc etc While I don't regret that initial decision because I really enjoyed the trial & error process - although nostalgia conveniently tends to blank-out the 'where's my hammer?' moments - the game is immeasurably more complex now & if I started playing today, I would definitely be oblivious to so many features without the forums. I'd go so far as to say it is now essential to a full experience since 2.1. The forums are an invaluable tool in moderation - imo using them to fast-track everything is a bit lame. For example, the first black hole I found by pure luck was just amazing & I think checking the forums to find one discovered by someone...
