I don't think there will be a Norse translation of, "I said Cookiebots, not Boogiebots!"

I was going to post a link to EDTS, which I've never used but I know that a lot (lol) of other BRC cmdrs use, but Cookiehole beat me - nothing new there! ;) If you're playing with the Raikogram in excel anyway though, you can use the solver plugin to solve travelling salesman problems, which is what I normally do. I tend to chuck everything Buckyball related into excel anyway. Just Google for "excel solver travelling salesman". The solver plugin is a part of excel, it's not a third party plugin, you just need to activate it. As most of our races only have four or five stops, and since number of jumps is a smaller number than lightyears, I usually have a go manually first and then check with excel.

Why not both? :) The excellent EDDiscovery is like a Swiss Army Knife of exploration and general playing the game - it's got a lot of features. My Captain's Log has less features than EDD, but concentrates on what I think an explorer needs whilst out there in the Void. Many people use both - and more in fact, when exploring. Speaking for Captain's Log, it's easy to install, easy to set up, and should be very straightforward to use.

This is a beta test of some improvements to the Overlay, and by side-effect making the GUI more snappy. From 2.1.5 downwards, turns out the Overlay was displaying details for the first planet in the scanned planets table, then switching to the details for the latest scanned planet. Reports were that this became increasingly noticeable, the more scans one had in the trip database. So I've made a few changes in how stars and planets details get updated after a scan, resulting in much snappier GUI response and curing the Overlay woes. So far I've had good feedback from testers. Details available on the CL Discord, invite URL in my signature. See pinned message in the #beta-testing channel for a download link, and feedback appreciated in that channel and if a bug is found in the beta, #beta_bug_reports.

Just starting to get to know my Dropship - had one before and didn't like it but decided to get another one, kit it out with all the engineered modules I had. Fun fact : you can basically interchange all the core modules between the Dropship and the Imperial Clipper. Anyway - I love the engine sound of the Dropship, that Core Dynamics hum. I love the tankiness of it. I love how it flies, including the drift. And I think it looks good in TacticLOL Ice ;)

It would be nice if we could get a hold of it in the Pleiades. I'm currently at Noctrach-Ihazevich Research Facility , Pleiades Sector AB-W b2-4, which is definitely a military planetary base, and it's not here - only the Xeno scanner.

I don't know if Beyond is disappointing or not - because I haven't seen the results yet. This topic of conversation should get relevant right around this time next year, or end of Q4, which is going to be when we see the totality of Beyond.

 Do you own a DBX? If so, this looks awfully like some mistake in looking up which one of the ships in your CMDR's data, is the active one.

I requested the thread be moved to the more relevant area :P I've had a rant recently as to why you only need Windows Defender and why most other anti-virus packages are in my opinion no longer relevant today and are merely produced by self-serving companies it's in their own self-interest to produce drama and big red DANGER boxes at the merest whiff of something banal :) Anyway - it was probably good that you missed the trauma of 2.1.0 to 2.1.3 ;) ... you dodged a real bullet there :P

Why not have a go at our current race Yggdrasil - link in my signature - instead? By the way, did you voice the awesome Galnet story for my Fat Tony's Festival of Racing event? If so then, I've been meaning to tank you. Consider this an IOU for a pint sometime. Hopefully I'll be at next year's Lavecon. :)

You should have exited the game completely rather than just exited to main menu, then started the game in non-Horizons mode - you'd have started in your ship and in orbit - then you could have seen what the problem was :) Asides from that, I'd be contacting Support right now to ask them to look into it and if it was a bug, they could reinstate your ship for you. EDIT: Your ship hadn't ran out of fuel had it?

To be honest, I doubt most people actually care about your little pee-vee-pee group. I suspect perhaps Frontier might care if you're repeatedly popping beginner players in one of the starter systems which Frontier place them in when they first load up the game. Be careful you're not poking the wrong hornet's nest my little internet tough guy :)

I've not received any further submissions, or had any mistakes pointed out, so the provisional tables are now final standings. The first post has been updated. Thanks to everyone who took part and congratulations to all the winners, I had a great time running the festival, next time I'll go for something with a few less leaderboards though. Special thanks to Alec and Sushi who's random forum comments gave the moments of inspiration that changed the Ironbucky Trophy from a name I'd thought up into the vicious thing it became. Also to the Reddit Elite Miners without whom I wouldn't have found Smeaton Port orbiting that evil little moon. :D The Lonnegan Brothers will be back at Weyl Gateway in the Alacarakmo system very soon hosting The Bootlegger Challenge Rebootlegged, which incorporates an updated version of the Black Riband. Until then it's goodbye from Fat Tony!

I love everything about this race, especially the artwork. And this bit: Can't stop laughing. :D Intent to race, I'll do it properly later when I can think of a battlecry and can get time to play and do a blot. I'll use CMDR Raiko in both events. I've got an un-named Imperial Eagle somewhere that I've never used (got added as a Kickstarter reward when the iEagle was added to the game) for The Squirrel, but what are your thoughts on entering in different ships? I'll be having a go at The Wyrm in The Nomad, but I'd quite like to have a go in an FdL or Python for Viking Raiding Party / Scourge of the North. :)

Anarchy system. I may have been foolish to begin with - the Goid was kited there and if you think about it, it's a devious way to attract players in Open... "Come help defeat the goid at the station!" - attracts the moths to the flame ;) Scoundrels all of them :P

It's always a matter of opinion :) Anyway - try having your Anaconda which was weakened by a Thargoid, backstabbed by a rabidly-outfitted/engineered FdL pilot, within the mass-lock area of a starport, and come back to me. (That's what happened to me last week - the scoundrel ;) ). My Conda went down before I could even react :)

Watched that - that ship seems to be able to fit 100's of Anacondas into it :)
