    Depending on the rounding involved it's possible that 9.75 and 16 XP are both 1% increase in rank. If we assume normal half-rounding, and that 16 XP was just under the 1.5% threshold (so would get rounded down to 1% rather than up to 2%), then 1% would be a little under 16 / 1.5 = 10.666(recurring). That's close enough for 9.75 to be rounded up to 1% as well. To expand on the example, assume 1% would be 11XP, then 16XP is 16/ 11 = 1.45% and 9.75XP = 9.75 / 11 = 0.88%. Both will round to 1%. Obviously this is also affected by exactly how far up from an integer percentage of rank progress you are, i.e. 0.6% actual progress can look like 1% if you were already on X.4% progress. Edit: Not that the poster is necessarily wrong, it's just that the posted data doesn't concretely prove it.

    Good. If you can defend and counter all the weapons they have, then it makes the whole thing rather pointless. They should be a challenge if you want to try and fight them. I don't think we'll be getting a way of following their wakes anytime soon, or probably, anytime.

    Well it's hard as they're 218Mb each :p However this is a crop of one and if you zoom right in you'll notice how the metal fixings don't lose any quality, but the writing's already blurred. I can't see anything behind the writing though, maybe it's cause the lighting's different but I don't think so. Click the picture to get a fullscreen version.

    I doubt you'll get them to be honest, the writing is deliberately blurred. I take my screenshots at 6k resolution and you still can't read what they say. I only managed to make out water and coffee beans when I first posted that picture, didn't notice toilet roll, but I'm glad they had some at least :D

    Personally, I consider speed above 425 kps or so to be un-needed. For instance, I could engineer my DBS or iCurrier ships with dirty drives to go much faster. However, I'd rather instead have them be much cooler with clean drive engineering so I can spend the heat which the dirty drives would have generated on heat generating weapons.

    Hi Moadeeb, Tell the story of your expedition, personally I don't see how any of it could be classed as spoilers :) However, I would do is keep the names of any systems that you discovery to yourself until you have a chance to sell your exploration data. There is a very (very very very) small risk of someone flying to the places you name to scan them and sell the data before you do... but you never know.

    A thread titled "Yes, your corvette is slow" is destined to land somewhere in-between a troll thread and a productive, on topic thread. I, for instance, made one funny response attempt and also one productive response attempt. I thought that was appropriate for this thread. Anything else is probably too serious or too silly. ;)

    I think my favorite small fighter is an engineered DBS with rail guns and/or straight missiles and/or plasmas. My multi role ship is the Phyton for sure. If I did a small multi-role ship again, I'd definately consider a Cobra MkIII, a DBS or maybe even a Viper MkIV.

    I'd also like to add that your Trading tool was the one I used the most. I had even added stations, commodities and whatnot to it's database over the years. I want to thank you for creating it and I will miss it alot. I understand tho why you have decided to close the site down, I agree that FD should have helped more.
