my hope with the next major DLC, IF (big IF) it is split into chunks - which is maybe looking unlikely now - I hope FD work significally on ONE core feature at the same time as what ever the shiiny feature is. ie if 3.0 was atmospheric planets, it could also have a big emphasis on npcs (crew and wingmates) if 3.1 was underground tunnels it could also have big emphasis on mining if 3.2 was on alien threat then at the same time have a big push on the BGS and economy if 3.3 was gas giants the could also do a load of work on exploration

you got me on the lasers range (tho I thought they WERE hitscan......) but we have different opinions on what handwavium is I think. to me it is something happening in the game without an explained reason for it, and where a rule is carried out in 1 place but not another for no reason... otherwise we could not have any games in space outside of our own solar system max speed is written into the lore iirc. our ships computer deliberately stops us going above set limits.Whilst the real out of game reason may be very different, in game it is there. I hate everything about telepresence and I do not want FD to do this, however for instance, I would suggest IF the telepresence was carried out consistently though out the entire game and had it all written into the game THEN it would make sense. (I still would not like it mind you) probably not worded very well, but I am exhausted, and besides I know what I mean :)

In spite of the high resolution of the photo, in which a pixel is equal to 690 meters, it remains still impossible to discern the particles which constitute the ring. These particles indeed, only measure a few meters, or even a few centimeters.

This must be why axial tilt is an important thing to know about when delivering to surface stations. Did have a Canadian girlfried once, who put the clock back instead of forward and yes, two hours late for work. Mind you, she also took the liberty of turning right on a roundabout on one, quite scary occasion. Travelling 'counter-clockwise,' as my life flashed before my eyes, every hour lost at spring daylight saving, seems a bonus ever since.

when ED launched pretty much the only total handwavium was your instant transport on ship destruction for gameplay) and instant reloading and repair (again for gameplay) now personally would happily of had a short wait for repair and loading/unloading and some form of interaction which took a few mins on destruction - not a huge amount of time just a bit. its not about realism for me, its about helping the suspension of disbelief (there is a better word for this and damnit if i have not forgotten it). as a carrot for this stick perhaps we could have contacted the BB, galnet and commodities market whilst in supercruise on the way and got our jobs done whilst in transit to streamline the process once we get to the station? but now......... there are holes all over the place and TBH its more about simplicity of implementation rather than improved game play *IMO* to answer your specific question, we do not pay our insurance premium, we pay the excess. Being a member of the Pilots Federation has its...

TBH, While I feel for your pain. I don't spend credits on crew members, especially if they are going to get wasted in combat... On the plus side... You have now got your slot back for your fighters (which I don't fit either). :p

you know...... i am not normally one to agree with those who want to change supercruise... but i gotta admit i like this.... less so because it speeds up supercruise, but more because it is something we would have to do manually and would encourage us to concentrate at the stick..... moreso if there was a mechanism where if we screwed it up we caused damage to ourselves etc. it could make piracy easier ie to catch up with my prey etc..... but on the flip side perhaps if i was being chased by an aggressor and i knew he was in my wake i could drop out of SC which could cause him to come crashing out of SC as well, and me get the drop on him.... or maybe we could have a supercruise weapon to disrupt an attackers supercruise drive, but do it against the security and its a crime giving you a bounty there is actually gameplay which could be added to your idea, rather than "just make SC faster". I like it :)

Newcomb Hub Kamito System: Independent Jurisdiction On the middle of the station's warehouse district lies a lone rented building belonging the Syndicate full of security. Inside a lone stairway at the top of the build lies a single room, magnetically sealed behind a heavy airlock. Shogun Talon rests on a small bunk with his arms folded behind his head. His normal suit and jewels gone, replaced my a simple button up shirt and jeans and a shackle around his left ankle chained to the floor less than a foot away. His eyes are close tight but he's far from asleep as his mind plots. It's not until he hears the sounds of the seal breaking does his focus shift and his head tilts ever so slightly toward the door. "Shogun. You're looking well." Angel's voice echoes in the near empty room as he steps inside sealing the door behind him. "I was wondering when you'd come to visit me." Talon responds still not opening his eyes or moving from his position.

its the future tho innit? in the future we will be able to have lifelike hologram avatars transmit accross the entire milky way and them control parts of our ship without any lag what so ever..... but we cant send palin a message from a few 100 LY away and say "what material was it you wanted for those dirty drives again? I pinned the blueprint on my ships computer however the damn thing lost it again!" ;)

Proposing CG's that coincide with our own story lines is always a tricky business, especially as we have to be careful not to reveal anything as part of the process. If we can support it then we'll try to do so, but we do have to knock back a lot of proposals for various reasons. We also try not to have too many CGs running (except for special events) and they have to slot around ones we've already planned. If it's been approved then it will be in the backlog - keep in touch with the community team as they run point on these. Michael

We can, but we also have a fair idea for where things are going to take place, and we've had those locked off from the start, as well as some speculative areas as well. Michael

a subset of the playerbase has complained about ED being too "hard" or too "slow" and that docking and supercruise should be a short cutsence since the game 1st went into gamma - hell probably before. these were not console players. there are different player types on all formats and imo its not fair to "blame" console players. FD are seemingly trying to appeal to the pickup for 20 mins of "action" and putdown type of players. This is at odds with the game i bought. I can think of a number of different reasons why this may be the case. sadly none of them are good. :(

whilst i am not saying i agree with the OPs premise.. i am not sure the above is true.... after all i have access to the KSer forum which i believe is private to some? then some have access to the DDF where as i am not special enough for that one ;) i am sure FD COULD do what op suggests tho it may take some work if they wanted (again i am not saying i think they should) PS i have oft felt we should be encouraged to put our log in details into our forum account, at which point it would be trivial for FD to do as OP asked

i am not happy posting this as personally i am dead against writing in magic crew telepresence given lore wise it is already decided it has a 3km range limit .... but for arguments sake perhaps only pilots federation members are "special" enough to be given the equipment needed, much like the ejection system we have compared to the cryopods npcs have to put up with.
