You can collect the care packages at the Power contact menu. (Some are bugged like the one for e.g. rank 20, these won't show up.)

1. You still need merits to move your power's progress bar. 2. You get care packages for every level after 100. Not sure what's inside, probably just more credits & mats than mini care packages.

Also will there be a "open all care packages" button, or combining all opened packages... or even just showing which ones are open so I don't need to hunt for the ones I have yet to?

It's too much of a pain to do that, at least for me. I've resigned myself to no longer having access to care packages, as I'm not going to waste time running to the bartenders and mat traders all the time.

I don't really see any reason not to do something like this because otherwise, why go to all that effort in the first place? PP2 has care packages for effort- why not stations and keeping them aligned?

...late September this year and didn't have much materials stocked up. Even then, not even above rank 100, I can't even claim around 30 care packages unless I trade some materials because they just contain 5 of a material I am topped up on. And that's a big problem when it takes up the same...

Care packages should be fun and interesting rewards, not a replacement for grinding. Aim higher.

Yeah, the current mechanism seems creaky for Cmdrs who already have lots of stuff. Perhaps just have a single care package, and new rewards are added to that rather than creating separate packages each time? Using the care package tops up anything it can, as now, and leaves the rest for another...

I agree. Care packages should be optional as a cash only reward or materials for those who need them. I'm maxed out on just about every material in the game. I would also find a (discard) option to be fine after you collect the 500,000 credits. I have to do a daily mat trader run just to juggle...

...showing multipliers (redundant) and display on the UI the amount of earned merits as well as the contributed CPs. This not considering that affecting personal merits, doesn't really produce the effect they're looking for... imho for some it is even better as they don't get clogged by care...

I don’t tend to play much on-foot gameplay so will end up with countless care packages left, even if they do disappear after a time it’s likely that the amount of packages left with materials still in them will be overwhelming.

Same here, as I always play in solo. I should do some more exploring, but there is always something going on in the bubble these days. Currently doing the CG, as it's in my powers space. Unfortunately, more merits means more care packages, which I don't need.

...which annoys me the most :D having them available from missions has been helpful (as well as gathering some of them from powerplay care packages) but it would be nice to have them also from other rewards (i.e. like complete 10 missions with such faction and you'll get this... or become allied...

I had to visit material traders and the bartender to trade up/down to create space to clear outstanding care packages. My main problem is that as I am not doing much if any engineering, is that I am going to max out. L46 atm.

Just go to a material trader and trade up or down as necessary. Then claim some packages and repeat. Both can be done at the same station anyway.

Perhaps if we look at the care packages from the perspective of a new or returning player, it'll make more sense.

Yes, that is correct. The issue seems to be that at a certain point, you have so many unclaimed (even partially) care packages that you cannot open any further ones. At least that's how I understood people's reports. Me, I am not completely maxed on materials yet, but I do struggle with one or...

When you have too many, you cannot open any package anymore - UI just hangs. Some actions can get it unstuck, so I'm curious - have anyone found a magic action sequence that would allow to actually open any package?

Also they don't report any materials received from care packages or weekly bonusses. Causes inconsistencies that require a game relog.

I strongly agree that this stuff should be somewhere in the pp 2.0 rank system too, but as separate rewards from care packages which kinda have to be grindy due to the repeatable nature.
