No need to report the belts. I just need the metallic rings around planets.
For calculation your coordinates need to be written into the green coordinate fields.
- Where do you find the coordinates of your current system...?
(Thanks for all the hard work!)
Hi.
In the galaxy map go to the options and turn on the grid.
The coordinates are shown there.
You have to use it like a map.

Thanks for the very quick reply.
I already had the grid turned on and, yes, you can 'guesstimate' the co-ords of a system from the grid
The reason for my question was that I had downloaded your spreadsheet (Thanks!) and the co-ords given there look a lot better than my 'guesstimates', so I thought that there must be something I was missing and that the actual co-ords must be listed somewhere I wasn't aware of.
Have you really 'guesstimated' the co-ords of all those systems? Wow! Respect!
Thanks

Hi, JJ.
Not all of them. The really accurate coordinates are from fansites. But you can guess the coordinate with 0.2 ly accuracy from the grid.
The next step is to put the metal rich planets into the spreadsheet. RMORTI already provided the data with coordinates.
This is going to sound weird, but sometimes I pop into a system and see a lonely star all alone 35,000LS away that everyone else ignored. And I go see it. Sometimes it's 433,000LS but only with a considerable amount of single malt.
That might sound weird, but I go also for cheap suns that are 700k ly away while being sober. Must be the greed.Originally Posted by RMORTI(Source)
Must be. The Spock in me tells me "don't do it, there are far too many systems to search - you are wasting you're time." The Kirk in me says "hey, there might be a green skinned hottie with 3 ; lets head over there. Sometimes, Kirk wins.
So I just jumped 900LY to the "East" side of SYNUEFE Sector. Think it was 98 jumps from FEHU and my plan was to follow the same declination to the right. I'd like to tell you that it was rich with stuff, but it was actually more like a void of anything worthwhile. A very dismal area of the sector. Hours of my life that I will never get back.
I'm currently mining in HIP 104504 #12. Pristine Metallic. Aprox. 178 Ly from my birthplace, LHS 3447.
Finally ran into a metallic ring: http://images.akamai.steamuserconten...1D9AE53784DBF/

Wow, a few days not here and so much new information. Thanks guys.
I will update as soon as possible.
Found a couple more Metal-rich planets. First one is the largest one I've found yet.
