Le sigh. That super-fast orbit is a bug, in reality impossible. I'd like to see this fixed, not promoted...

Good luck with that. Since it probably requires modifying the stellar forge and usually that means recreating the system as a "hand built" system on top of the exact spot ....recreating all the stations and such in the new system exactly as they were in the old. Such is the way of procedural systems with lax constraints.

Is that...is that 2.3 news? Am I hallucinating?

    Yes, yes it is.

Good to have a newsletter with actual news in it again. FD, if you're listening, now's the time to start teasing 2.3 with those sneak peeks you've seem to forgotten about.

Much anticipated? Not so much for myself, unless NPC Crew will somehow miraculously make an appearance. Commander Creator is useful, I suppose, for narcissists and multiplayer types, but I spend my time looking out my eyes, not back in them. Maybe there will be more info in the future. *Yawn*

IIRC Michael Brookes mentioned at some point that the system in question is hand crafted and that is why there is this error, it is not a bug in the stellar forge that produced this.

NPC crew are coming at a later date. The commander creator is not so you can admire yourself so much as it is to enable players to see one another when they crew the same ship; one of the first steps towards walking avatars, and moving freely around ships.

Hmm, no mention of NPC crews..

  12. #12
It'll be nice to finally have a real identity. I hope I'll actually be able to see somebody in the ship too.

It would be more realistic not to assume this.

Frontier has already told us that there won't be NPC crews with 2.3, so that's why there isn't any mention of it. Because it's not happening, at least not for the foreseeable future. No matter how much multicrew desperately needs it, nor how utterly important npc crews are to the feature being useful to 90% of the playerbase....

The Ram Tah blurb is interesting though. His actual message after the CG last week gave the community four systems to look at, yet the newsletter states it was three systems?
