Thread: Rambling poems

    Rambling poems

    Traversing the Milky Way

    Look to the centre
    In a bright starry void

    Out to the far reaches
    Far away from SOL

    Hear the thundering
    Of the lasers fly true

    They rumble past:
    Their hits ablaze with purpose.

    Traversing the Milky Way

    Racing to greet their misteries.
    Forever in starry void.

    Thundering into eternity.
    Traversing the Milky Way

    Show me yours????

    Roses are red
    Thargoids are green
    Poetry is hard
    Eat lazer bug

    The Star

What is that in the darkend sky
That Blue ball that hangs way up high
It gives us heat when we are close
Will we live through it, Who knows?

Exploring , exploring & exploring, and for like an hour i see your name.
A cool name, but still i don't want to see it anymore.
Everytime i go somewhere i see your name.

How happy and glad i am , that i am at a place where you have not been before.
Or is it just you are not back yet?

The Star is my mother, the planet is my father
In opposition and duality they complement each other
I exist and die on the tides of gravity
On the rhythm of their dance I emerge
Imploding and exploding like the universe
Everything I see is within me

In this Telepresence my soul is nowhere in my mind.
It is free, infinite and doesn’t stop with a grind
    Manifestation of eternal frequency

Poems are far too highbrow for me to write
Most of them time they even have to be polite
Limericks are all I can manage
In some ways it's an advantage
Nobody minds if their rhymes aren't quite right

    ---

Joking aside, I'm enjoying reading your poems

    I watched the stars
in the womb of my ship
    I rise from the still
    streams of Stars,
    Eager to make my millions
I race through the thin ethereal black
    Later the stars flickered
    faintly behind me
    as I rushed on
    to the rim of worlds.
    I peered with anxious
    eyes about me:
    now I was flying
    through starless voids.

    Now i stop :-)
    Happy flying all!

I once bought a game called Elite

At first I was on the edge of my seat

But it's so riddled with issues

    And exploits people misuse

That now the bugs in this game have me beat

    Hyperdicted.

White glow, hums, rumbles, beeps. You speak to me as we travel, and I'd swear you're alive.
Under my fevered touch, you remain steadfast and cool. In the face of adversity, you do not flinch.
Were I so strong, perhaps I could save us both.

Green glow, growls, screeches, roars. They speak to me, in a tongue unknown.
Under my paralyzed body, my heart races and screams. Nose to nose, they strike fear into my heart and I cannot help but flinch.
I am not strong. And we cannot be saved now.

    ...the white glow returns.

    Elite: Dangerous
    Materials and Data
    Bins are far too small

    ---

I met a young woman from Meene,
The finest I have ever seen,
But I tell you, no joke,
    That when she spoke,
What came our of her mouth was obscene.

    ---

    On gilded wings they fly,
to distant stars and unseen places.
With troves of goods to sell and buy,
at stations, outposts and planetary bases.

    All around, these pilots bold,
    face dangers in the void.
From pirates seeking to lighten their load,
to assailants who greet them, weapons deployed.

They go forth to seek fortune and fame,
    always traveling farther and faster.
Each one seeks to make their name,
where so many have met with disaster.

Do not fly what you can't rebuy, wise words said.
But wisdom is wasted upon the dead.

    A haiku, a limerick, a sonnet,
    in forms traditional,
and in free verse, as is said,
    "I've got this covered."

    Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
    Thy micturations are to me,
    As plurdled gabbleblotchits,
    On a lurgid bee,
    That mordiously hath blurted out,
    Its earted jurtles, grumbling
Into a rancid festering confectious organ squealer.
    Now the jurpling slayjid agrocrustles,
Are slurping hagrilly up the axlegrurts,
And living glupules frart and stipulate,
    Like jowling meated liverslime,
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes,
    And hooptiously drangle me,
    With crinkly bindlewurdles,mashurbitries.
Or else I shall rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
    See if I don't!

    The Elite guns:

    Pew, Pew, Pew, Pew,
    Pew, Pew, Pew
    Pew, Pew, Pew, Pew,
    Pew, Pew, Pew

    (Baldricks version was better)
