Thread: Surface Features - Barnacles/Unknown Structures/Crashed Ships etc...

I am at barnacle forest right now.
    Enhanced image:

Applying green filters reveals green goo pockets on wider area than the "forest" itself.
No target to lock on. Heavy gravity lock, almost no reverse on thrusters (on DD5). Will stay for a while..

Why would an old ship be carrying canisters of current materials?

Of course there's no way to really date the materials, I'm just going by looks
Despite being a firm defender of FD's modus operandi over this past few years; I'd hazard a guess at a mild bit of RNG immersion breaking...

I do wonder what that bug is, used to be the case at the ruins way-back-when aswell.

They don't have to be "Current"

Yes, quite possible. I guess we won't be 100% sure until we see one flying around.

Is this normal for one of the barnacles near Alcazar's Hope? Was at this one for the first time.

Master shoot. Thanks! This one has new elements.
Give us more! Wider area aerial shoot?

It seemed I was in a corrupted instance ... now I jumped out and back in and all is normal: 2 barnacles and spikes around it instead of inside only one.

So, using the same technique for finding the barnacle forest, I've just marked thirteen barnacles that are additional to those listed on this sheet. I don't have edit rights or anything so someone from Canonn might want to update.

All barnacles are in Witch Head GW-W C1-4, Planet A 4
    1. -65.9886, -173.6420 (double, already recorded)
    2. -68.2313, -160.5819 (single)

    4. -40.6313, -150.0038 (single)
    5. -38.6462, -143.6393 (single)

Very cool, Jmanis. What technique did you use?
