Well, my friend it is your lucky day. I happen to have the plans for a perpetual motion machine and am looking for investment to bring it to the mass market. You can buy as many shares as you like for which you will receive priority usage, a T-shirt and a mug.
Your reply is out of context and not very witty - why does my interest in having promised features in a game bother you so? Ah, your avatar text explains it - mindless fandom at all costs

FDEV also has lots of plans for Elite Dangerous. But there is a difference between plans and a playable game. It's actually the reason for most complains we have on this forum...

I was asking you for a source for SC as you made the claim?

Lol, a 70's cartoon pirate and a tagline that demonstrates that I do submit criticism on occasion.

Careful now, I take criticism of my jokes very seriously and may report you if I feel sad. Pirates have feelings too you know, especially 70's pirates.

    source?
Steam accounts for 50% of the overall Elite playerbase, and it has an average concurrent of around 3700 - https://steamdb.info/app/359320/graphs & http://steamcharts.com/app/359320

Over the six-month period during which Alphas 2.0 through 2.4 were released, Star Citizen's most active time as we playtested Crusader, it had an average concurrent of 340 - https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/4qxhep/300k_backers_have_tested_since_scs_20_release/

It is too easy to fall into that isn't it!

Edit : Perhaps we need an ED version of Godwins law. Any mention of "the yet to be released game that should never be mentioned" ends the thread.

    well, who play tech demo.

Building open space world in FPS engine, its like re-building old house. Take millions of hours and then you find out, you had build new house, cheaper and faster.

Could you point me to the source in that link please? I can only see numbers for 300,000 backers testing between 2 and 2.4 how do you get to 340?

It's in the title, with the source image linked there: 1.5m playtime hours, during the six months. Basic maths: 1500000÷(182*24) = 343 players/hour

Either way, can we get back on topic?

because you are mislead by the video they post, but actually they are only pretty video and not gameplay.
Have you tryed to play actuall build? Is a mess, nothing to do with what they show. To me this is much more mileading than Fd behaviour.

Can we all just agree that Elite will be a great game when they implement everything they talked about and the same is true for SC? In the meantime everyone just does what he enjoys most?

No, I'm very sorry, but you have to do what I enjoy most or you're doing it wrong.

I don't really care about space legs but they were a bit of the carrot being promised so we should have them by now. I honestly feel like I was mis-sold ED, at least SC is doing what they said they would do, FD made the promises five years ago! See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM0Gcl7iUM8 and did odd things instead! Where are the videos from five years ago talking about CQC, engineers, Xbox, Playstation, talking galnet, holome and stupid bobble heads! We were sold the dream of ED and we paid real hard earned cash for it, we funded a game based on promises that look unlikely to be delivered - to some it could be considered fraud! I haven't played the game since 1.4 and I will not play it until there is something more to see other than rocks and alien ships that look like flowers. I think the ED universe will become so quite that we'll never see the promised features http://steamcharts.com/app/359320#All I just can't understand the logic of keeping the game so boring and repetitive that it looses traction with the players. It is also worth noting that DB has only posted to the forum nine times in the last two years, only 2 times in 2017! I guess everybody is losing interest
Problem with complex systems that SC is promising is that take REALLY REALLY REALLY LOOOOOOOONG time to develop. Just as ED is quick and ready fun to enjoy. Yeah they promised a lot but he said ED is 10 year plan. It's not like those cookie cutter games that reuse same engine over and over again. They have to design implement and make functional so many new features never done before in games (i'm not counting jet propulsion labs and other research institutes) that it just takes too damn long. FDEV really loves to publish half baked content. It took 1 year for planets to be semi usable with all the crafting we can do now. We still don't have ammo racks or better way to store cargo/materials/data.

Funny how you need new firmware everytime you're upgrading engines, can't you like copy that damn thing? You got it by copying it from transmitters, why not just copy that damn thing over and over and over.
