I placed the Asp on the roster, and left it as is. But currently I’m torn between that and the Anaconda. Simply because the Anaconda can store everything and the kitchen sink, while still equalling the Asps jump range. But its view, is, ....duff.
Still, I hear the Asp is receiving a buff this year. Hopefully with exploration being it’s new specialisation.

Fingers crossed... Asp drivers of the galaxy... unite!

Not looking forward to updating hundreds of roster entries three days before departure.

Well, i would expect at least some common sense from people, not asking to change their jump range change of 2ly, or their role if they decide to that they want to be media people instead of miner, etc small stuff..
I know, common sense... scary thought..

Au contraire, Roster entry should be exact, for history As long as they don't each request 15 changes it'll be fine

I changed the color of the ship, from yellow to red.
Well, it's called "predator pack red" ....

I do not know if it will be important... XD

    Oh, i play in Pc.

    I'm a big fan of self-service rosters.

I'm still signed up with my DBX but I'm pretty sure that is going to be changing. If the FSD boosters ever go live then my Asp will jump very competitively with my DBX and at that point I'd just as soon fly my Asp instead. However, I can't fit mining equipment along with exploration equipment in the Asp concurrently, and if we'll need to mine to support the DWE fleet carriers then I'd love to do some deep space mining along the way too, so I am considering just taking my T10 for the journey.

How the game changes between now and launch day is going to greatly influence my ship choice, but I'm fairly certain I won't be taking my DBX unless the ship gets a decent buff between now and then. Which I don't see happening.

Surely the FSD boosts must go live long before November? Presumably it would be very soon in fact.

I think I may just give up the surface scanner in favor of it. Too convenient to have a significant jump range increase. And my explorer status is Elite anyway, so it's not like I'd be doing any scanning for the sake of that. (Plus I have more money than I even know what to do with since I can't stand to pilot something like an anaconda or whatever.) The only reason I even hesitate is the surface scanner can tell you if a world might have, say, arsenic for instance. I think I won't need "jumponium" then though, so if I just make sure I have enough for a few emergencies at the most I should be set.

Like I said, if you are taking enough module damage that your AFMU itself is in danger you have the much more serious problem of your power plant itself being in danger of failing and even producing reduced output (doesn't it start reducing output already once it gets down to a certain level? You could potentially end up where it won't matter if your AFMU even works if you can't even get the FSD + thrusters going at the same time or something unpleasant like that.) No, you need to focus on avoiding having so many emergency stop/heat damage incidents that there is that much damage in the first place because that's just not sustainable. Better to dedicate that slot to something that can be useful in some other way and just be more careful.

I'm curious about how the issue of the instances in the game will be addressed.
I count about 3000 people who have signed up for the event.
But the game tends to collapse in instances where there are more than 10 users.
And from what I have been told elsewhere in the forum, the instances have a limit of 50 users in unison.

I say this because I'm sure I want to do a mass meeting at the time of departure and so I suppose I also record a synchronized jump.

    Can anyone detail this?

P.S. My relationship with English is difficult, it is clear that although I struggle to understand, I find it difficult to write, so do not laugh if you read something wrong, please.

And, far more important, to carry limpets for repair, refuel etc. which can save a CMDR from an untimely one-way trip back to the last space station they docked at.

PSA: All 6 Roster thread posts are now filled. I will keep on updating the Statistics but it's unlikely I'll update the roster on the thread any more. Please use the website linked at the top of the thread. We're working on transferring the roster to a SQL database accessible and sortable from a dedicated website. o7

I've begun flying the Type-9 Heavy for the most recent CG, and I think it's won my heart over. However, now I'm stuck between taking the Type-9 or the Sidewinder. Both have roughly the same jump range. Which should I take?

    Sidewinder

    Pros
    - Very maneuverable in both supercruise and normal space.
    - Easy to land.
    - Fun to fly.

    Cons
    - Very few internal slots, limited gameplay and fleet role options.
    - Slow fuel scoop time.
    - No shields due to limited internal space.

    Type-9

    Pros
    - More internal slots than you can poke a stick at, can fill many fleet roles at once.
    - Fun to fly...?
    - Size 7 fuel scoop that can drain stars in seconds.
    - Strong shields.

    Cons
    - The absolute slowest and least maneuverable ship in the game. Takes a minute to do a 360 degree turn in supercruise.
    - Fun to fly...?
    - Seems to generate heat more quickly than a Sidewinder.
    - Large, bulky, harder to land.

Store the sidey in the Type-9's cargo hold.
