Vadimo Patrons of Law Appeals for Commodities (Rares with Decals)

    Summary

    System: Vadimo
    Station: Sikorsky Station
(Coriolis Starport, large pads available, 2,036 Ls from main star, 109.74 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Bast Snake Gin, Witchhaul Kobe Beef and Geawen Dance Dust
    Time limit: 3rd May 3304 @ 15:00 UTC

    Description

The Vadimo Patrons of Law, an Imperial organisation based in Vadimo, have announced plans to host an elaborate soirée in the system.

A spokesperson for the organisation elaborated on the nature of the event:
Let's be honest, things aren't great at the moment. We've got aggressive aliens on the doorstep and no one seems entirely sure what to do about it. So we thought – why not throw a big party? Give the people of Vadimo a chance to forget about their worries for a night. We want this to be the best party the system has ever seen. Or at least the best one of 3304.
To ensure that the event is a success, the Vadimo Patrons of Law have placed an open order for a range of commodities, and have promised to reward pilots who deliver these goods to Sikorsky Station.

The campaign begins on the 26th of April 3304 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

To be eligible for rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Bast Snake Gin, Witchhaul Kobe Beef and Geawen Dance Dust to Sikorsky Station in the Vadimo system.

Be aware that faction-state changes, Thargoid Sensor-related interference and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

    Notes:
    - Decals will be awarded to participants based on the percentile bracket they finish the CG in

    - Station Services: Commodities Market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel
    - Powerplay: Exploited by Zemina Torval

So is this a new set of decals or the "espionage" one (or what was it called again) from last time again?

Finally, a proper rares CG. The cloth I use to wipe the dust of my teabagging ship has a thick layer of dust on it.

    Not for much longer.

The new decal for this CG is specific to the trade CG type.

Here is a preview of both decals (BH and Trade)

    Happy Hauling

RAREs are only produced in one single system, they can not be purchased any were else... that system has a copy right and block on any other system creating it...
And unlike china on Earth Clones and knock offs don't count as the same item and can not be sold as such item...

You can only buy those goods at the stated places. It looks like Witchhaul and Bast are the easy ones to get; the other one is a long way in supercruise. "Rare" means that once you have bought the allocation, no more become available while you have those in your hold. You therefore have to go and deliver those and come back for more, or use crafty methods.

Rare goods are generally good for low-volume trade because they increase in value with distance from the source.

Crafty methods include having a friend fetch them out of the station and jettison them for you to pick up (so he can get more repeatedly as he isn't carrying any), or jettisonning them yourself outside the station, running in to get more, then trying to pick up the first lot outside before they expire. It's probably easier just to go and make the delivery. :-)

    Coolio.

Also, while people are in the Bast system, why not go on a pub crawl?

Apologies if my first response was a bit blunt - was posting between meetings at work Looks like the others have provided most of the pertinent information, also covered in the CG guide (also linked from the first post) at https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showth...ity-Goal-Guide

Happy hauling and welcome to CGs
