yea i found his own post and said that in a reply to him that i have not seen anyone say anything about ark lol and all we want is it to be at least same size as the rex.

Giga & Spino need to be sizable to the (T)Rex.
I think most agree us tend to on that fact. They should have given them the following stats

    T.rex - 12.8 meters/42 feet long, 5 meters/16.4 feet tall, about 8-9 metric tons - about average size for a JP/JW T.rex

    Giganotosaurus - 13.1 meters/43 feet long, 4.6 meters/15 feet tall, about 8 metric tons

Spinosaurus - 13.4 meters/44 feet long, 6.1 meters/20 feet tall (at top of the spines), 11-12 metric tons. (basically it's JP3 stats).

Those would be some good stats - as the Giganotosaurus and Spinosaurus would at very least be slightly larger than T.rex.

We can debate the size and all, and i would accept the ones you've written up as long as the Giganotosaurus model got a complete overhaul. Which probably wont happen. It doesnt look anything like its supposed to.

Ive looked at it ingame now, its just a copypaste body. Gave it a extra claw on its hands and there you go. The posturing and the thickness of the ribcage is wrong. Tail should be slimmer and longer. Its just a copypasted T-rex.

I think this is a good relative size to put into the game.

This is just a real joke from frontier... The giga is suposed to be a very bit bigger than the t-rex and now he is like half smaller . Shame on them, they could have at least do some research... Same for the spino, it is way too small

    Giga needs to be bigger

The giga needs to be bigger right along side with the spino

    Made this for comparison.

    Spinosaurus fixes:

    - Corrected height to 4,3m on the hip, with 2m extra height with the sail.
    - Model is nowhere near 15m long. Make it 14.3m long and call it a day.
    - Weight should be reduced to 14 tons atleast.

    GIganotosaurus Fixes:
    - Model needs a complete rework to a slimmer and more agile build. Long thin tail, slim ribcage, larger hands, protruding vertebrae
    - Model size corrections.
    - Length corrected to 14.3 meters.
    - Weight corrected to 10 tons.
    - Height corrected to 4.3 meters.

    Tyrannosaurus Rex:
    - Model size corrections based on factual numbers. bring forth the shrink ray.
    - Height corrected to 4.6 meters.
    - Weight corrected to 12 tons.
    - Length corrected to 13.2 meters.

I've read on Jurassic World website. They listed T-rex's size is 40ft long ~ 12,2m and weight 9 tons. (it' is size of the largest t-rex's skeleton -SUE)
People said Rexy is 44ft long ~ 13,4m. But there is only one Rexy on Jurassic World.
So i suggest scaling down t-rex size 87%
    Weight: 6-9 tonnes

Spinosaurus's size is okay (averange 14-16m long in fact)
    Weight: 9-14 tonnes

    Giganotosaurus: lenght scale up 10% ~ 13,2m
    Weight: 7-9.5 tonnes

I thought Rexy was 44ft long?

The Giga should be at least as long and as tall as Rexy. Slimmer and slightly longer arms. I'm confused why they chose to make the Giga literally half the size of Rexy. That's just unacceptable.

We can't look at the scientific version of the Spino since it does not resemble that of the JP3 Spino. That being said, the Spino should be the largest carnivore in this game. Period.

I understand they wanted to make Rexy the star of the show, but they need to make the Giga and JP Spino more accurate in size.

I'll say that I am loving this game, but when I made my first Giga and saw it was half the size of Rexy (it looks barely bigger than the Ceratosaurus?) I was insanely disappointed. They need to make the Giga bigger.

Can you guys be a bit up to date ?

Spinosaurus is not anymore a 9 tonnes-20 tonnes behemoth.

I was discussing this with Simone Maganuco and Dal Sasso just last week.

Their new 2014 model (regardless of the size of the legs) gave a body mass of 7.5 tonnes for the 15 m adult.
This estimate wasn't included in their paper but will be in the next and other people have already performed similar calculations :

    https://franoys.deviantart.com/journ...mass-635495737

The critter was very shallow and narrow.

Science marches on and perhaps new data will come but with a live skull of 82 kg against 524 kg for Sue skull, I really doubt a 15 m adult Spinosaurus will be reevaluated in body mass.

Same thing for Giganotosaurus. The latest estimates all show an animal as long or marginally longer than T. rex but significantly lighter.

I definitely agree that Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus need to updated in size in the game but I'm tired to read "they should be bigger than T. rex !", while none specimen equals the biggest Tyrannosaurus in weight. Let alone thd possibly 13.4 m Rexy.

As Rexy is based on JW which stated it at 13.4 m, this should be her size.
Spinosaurus should be 46 feet based on the original JP3 chart.
Giganotosaurus should be based on the modern estimates of its size (see Hartman 2013).
Indominus should be at the 15.2 m of its official chart.

It should be noticed that in the various promotional material of the movies some weight stats for Rexy exceed those of Indominus...

Well - the stats of all 3 theropods should be base on their appearance in the JP/JW films - or in the case of Giganotosaurus - it's real world estimates.

The JP3 Spinosaurus was NOT based on the more modern long, slim Spinosaurus - but it was instead based on the best estimates/approximations of Spinosaurus from date around 2000/2001. Which was a taller, heavier, and more terrestrial animal. So the Spinosaurus from JWE should be based Dinosaur we saw in JP3 - not the slimmer, shorter, and lighter semi-aquatic dinosaur we currently see as "scientifically accurate". Please remember that - that the dinosaurs of JP/JW series is NOT always the most "Scientific Accurate" - but are basically are just theme park creations/monsters.

So if the JWE T.rex is based on Rexy from Jurassic World - T.rex should be 13.4 meters/44 feet (not 14 meters/46 feet as stated in the game), and about 9-10 tons(not 18 tons). The overall height of the JWE T.rex is on par with the T.rexes from the JP/JW films.

So 15 meters/49 feet figure for Spinosaurus in JWE actually makes a good fit as it basically combines - "scientific accuracy" with JP/JW lore . But it still should be about 6 meters/19.7 feet at the top of it's spine, and weigh about 12-15 tons, not 20 tons.

The Giganosaurus - is of course - too small, in JWE. It actually should be about 13.1-13.7 meters/43-45 feet long, 4.6 meters/15 feet tall, and weigh about 8-9 tons. That way - it would also be more accurate, in relative size compared to the other two.

The giga is like the ceratosaurus in term of size, maybe a little bigger, and thats is not how it's supposed to be. You can say what you want, but he need to be made larger.
& the head of the t-rex is to much bigger than the head of the spino,

just saying, i'ts a fiction, so no need to talk about the real animals (because the spino would look like a dummy), but just make the spino of JP3 in term of size, his head was fine and looked heavier.

  12. #57
There is something really super creepy about those big yellow eyes with that black pupil in the middle. I read the JP novel and the eyes were talked about a bit in the book. Especially the raptors. I like that attention to detail that Frontier put into the game.

  13. #58
So I made a Giga as maxed out as I could against my 1300 star rated Rex (that killed Indominus!) and the Giga.... won! LoL

  14. #59
Also I notice the price to hatch a T.rex - nearly $2 million - and that is unmodified.

    I need futher re-sizing patch

Yeah they need to adjust their sizes.
I don't like the idea to make other dinosaurs small for star dinosaurs.
