Thread: Unable to provoke a war with the controlling faction

I should also point out that you're trying to take over two Alliance systems. Of the three superpowers, the Alliance is the most powerful in terms of effective BGS workers. There are Alliance players and groups that care about each and every Alliance system and will actively work against you to prevent you from taking over any systems, unless you have negotiated with them first.

Edit to add: it seems you now have your wish; according to INARA, War is now Pending in Kachatrimih. Once a War goes Pending, nothing can stop it.

That's true. And there are also communist factions in both systems and some of us defend them with vigor. But this is a special case. It's an active player group that wants to get into the BGS and have some fun. RL people > NPC factions, regardless of loyalty.

Sometimes, we have to set our own objectives aside for the greater good.

Word. We do the same. We are an Imperial Faction that has even got a peace treaty with our neighbors who are separatists.... Man we are nice.

The other issue is that this group's home system, Varam, is a Powerplay Control system for Mahon and has been so for at least a year. I'm not familiar enough with Powerplay to know; are there any issues with a Control system of Mahon's becoming an Indie Confederacy? Without a diplomatic solution, the OP's group might end up fighting against both Alliance BGS workers and Mahon powerplayers.

Agreed Sapyx, Leo you need to contact the above groups and work out a diplomatic solution. As you will not enjoy 100s of pilots decending apon your system if you flip it and they will just murder you into lockdown or civil unrest. ( quite easy to do )
Maybe make a deal? You do not push for control of Varam? ( you can have lesser assets in the system though) and ask for control of the other system? You can expand from there in the future?
    Just ideas.

edit. Oh dear the war is going badly already https://inara.cz/galaxy-starsystem/2644/
