Thread: Milky way's new look

  1. #16
It isn't a radical new model, it is a presentation of evidence that the Milky Way is similar to other spiral galaxies.

Have a read of this for example:

(Old presentation but illustrates the galaxy warp situation.)

Or maybe... the Thargoids know that we just ruin every system we move into, so they're intentionally manipulating the xenophobes among us into building a wall around our own bubble....

Agreed. I was annoyed to find a wall of text rather than eye candy to feast upon. Worthless article

And it will mean that we'll win our space-willy measuring contest against that amateur Dyson.

Once again, we can say that we must never believe what we are told.

Because the truths of today are not the truths of tomorrow.

Hmm, you might be on to something here...
What if so called "dark energy" didn't exist, and was simply a clerical error?

The confirmation here that the knowledge is not always acquired and definitive.

However in the case of the science of the universe, difficult to say for us "Wait and see"

The galaxy cannot be changed. I asked the devs about correcting star sausages and was told they cannot move stars as it ends up moving other stars which causes all sorts of problems.
